The room and bathroom were lovely.

The restaurant waiting staff for both breakfast and dinner were professional.
Food both at breakfast and dinner not up to the usual Thatchers hotel standard unfortunately, which let the whole Travelzoo hotel experience down. No restaurant specials the first night either.

Terrible. Avoid. I signed up in 2025 and they have been taking £30 a year subscription ever since. They said they sent me an email to advise of renewal but I did not receive it. I contacted them on the day it came out to say I didn’t want to renew but they’re refusing even a partial refund. My reasons for not wanting to continue
Is that it really isn’t any use. They advertise exclusive deals but they’re really not and are nothing you cannot find yourself online. Absolute rip off nonsense.

Travel zoo was fine. Zantum was more of a challenge. would really give this a 3.5 but did not feel that a 3 was warranted. Zantum changed our ship about 10 days prior to our departure. By canceling our boat they combined us with another ship. By doing so this cruise was at max capacity which impacted the week.
We planned ahead and set up our dinners for each port. The challenge was we only hit 2 ports on days we were supposed to. All of our efforts were wasted. Staff was good. Meals are very limited. You get what you are served, no options. We traveled in a group of 8 and had a great time, but not sure I personally would recommend this specific trip to others.

Travelzoo was recommeded to me by a work colleauge quite a few years back. Since then I have always gone through Travelzoo for my holidays. They have excellent deals, transparency and good value for money. The process of having coupons and booking is straight forward and without any issues.

Vegetarian Poke Bowl starters were really nice as was my main course sea bream!
The main course tomato salad was 'just ok" but sticky toffee puddings made up for that.
PS Chips are super.

Great hotel with lovely genuine staff, well positioned near the A38 and the M1 etc..

The hotel staff were very good, particularly the Receptionist. The breakfast order was freshly cooked each morning. there are parking charges, but the hotel assist allocating a permit for £2.50 per day.
The hotel is easy to find 100m from the seafront.

Used Travelzoo for many years and never been disappointed.

This is one of the best Travelzoo deals we’ve done.
The restaurant,food and staff are first class,we really enjoyed our visit. Our waiter Aldo was so attentive and so efficient is his service. Food is so well cooked and plentiful,cocktail delicious too.
Would definitely do again if opportunity came up.

I saw an ad on Instagram and I thought okay let’s take a look, then I was forced to give them my email and register to become a member because everything on the site would be blurred out so I can’t see anything until I registered. I did the registration reluctantly and after that they asked me to pay 1€ otherwise I can’t see their offers. Ridiculous. I knew from the time they blurred out their own offer it was about to be some scam
