I have been booking with TR for 25 years plus, but now the new website is giving no options when searching? Just terrible , nothing for Italy? Used to be so easy! What a shame!
I'll now have to go elsewhere.

Very difficult to get support by telephone. Very long wait time
No interest in supporting late requests for changes or cancellations.
Will not book with company again.

What on earth have you done to your website used to be so easy to look for a holiday...Virtually impossible now especially accommodation only.

Reply from Travel Republic
Nearly As cheap as hotel website, (which my credit card wouldn’t allow me to book through) and everything went to plan!

The new website of travel republic is terrible.
Have used their site for years, however, it is almost impossible to use.
Therefore booked my next two holidays with others.

I understand you have sold out to Travel Bag so are no longer in existence . Pleas let me know if this is correct as I need to book another holiday to Dubai.

What on earth has happened to the website. It is now impossible to put in your departure airport ( like Stansted ) and if you want holidays on a luxury resort in the Maldives , it will show you everything in Male( the capital ) . It’s now impossible to look for a holiday .
If the rep from TR is reading this , give it a go , it’s impossible .
Who signed off this new site ? You won’t get my business as I like to compare before I book which I can’t do on your site .

Brilliant, used for many holidays including my big orlando one! Price for one hotel was £1000 less than anywhere else so had my doubts but was fine and customer service so helpful too!! Brilliant, will always use!

We booked an 8 night stay at the Anantara Palm resort in Dubai. Let me be very transparent before TRAVEL REPUBLIC reflect all accountability and blame in their response. They advertise two room choices overlooking the lagoon on their website. They did when Denata travel ran the company and they do now that Destinia run the company (took over 3 days ago but according to them, they didn’t need to inform their customers of this? First red flag). We booked a ‘Deluxe’ room which is advertised as having stairs into the pool in every image showing the pool. Let me be clear, there is ONE Deluxe room option only advertised by TRAVEL REPUBLIC which has NO subcategories after selection. Upon check in, we were shown to a room similar to the images but it had a balcony, no stairs into the pool. This was important to us as a family as we have a baby, and we wanted to be able to use the pool in turns from our room while he takes naps every afternoon. We spoke to the hotel who advised our booking showed a ‘delux lagoon view room’ but the room advertised on TRAVEL REPUBLIC was a ‘delux lagoon access room’ TWO different types not specified anywhere on TRAVEL REPUBLIC website. We had to pay £650 to upgrade the room to what we thought we had booked, and what was and is still advertised on TRAVEL REPUBLIC website. To rub salt in the wound, we called TRAVEL REPUBLIC and were greeted by a rude representative who reflected all blame and advised TRAVEL REPUBLIC (who are an online travel agent) have ‘nothing to do’ with the running or management of their OWN website. We asked to speak to a member of management to discuss our concern that we had been mis sold this room, Enter manager ‘Lucy’. Lucy was rude, condescending and didn’t show a glimpse of empathy towards our situation or financial loss not to mention an apology. Lucy advised the booking shows a lagoon view room so what’s the problem? (Yes, that is a direct quote) we advised the deluxe room they are advertising shows stairs into the lagoon and NO option to choose ‘lagoon view’ or ‘lagoon access’ on their website, so essentially it’s luck of the draw on arrival but don’t be fooled by the pictures they’re advertising as those are just there to dangle the carrot. The call ended with the same deflection, we don’t run our website so it’s not our problem plus you have the room you booked so we’re not accountable, the images aren’t anything to do with TRAVEL REPUBLIC (despite being on TRAVEL REPUBLIC website). Lucy was the most passive aggressive manager working in customer services I’ve ever came across in 30 years. As someone who is also a manager in a different sector, I’d strongly recommend training your staff. 10x would be a suggestion on management skills. Anyone with mental health issues or a history of domestic abuse would have been triggered by the tone used by your staff, and that is no exaggeration. The hotel were so disgusted that they arranged free spa treatments for my husband and I up to the value of £600, and have advised they have reached out to both denata and destinia to discuss how they market their property, in my opinion, they should cut ties. If Lucy had apologised, even for the sake of saying the word we’re sorry you feel that way, the situation may have taken another turn but the vile attitude from someone who is a CUSTOMER SERVICE manager was nothing short of appalling. As a firm regulated by the FCA, they are bound by a set of principles which expects due care and diligence and to treat all customers fairly. I can’t agree any of the FCA guiding principles were demonstrated in our experience therefore we will be submitting a claim via this regulator as well as the CAA and ABTA, I have no faith TRAVEL REPUBLIC have any intentions of admitting fault of reimbursing us the £650 in additional charges we have paid. We have another holiday booked with them for £4K to Corfu in July which we will be cancelling and booking direct with the hotel, we would never use this firm again and would strongly advise others against it.

Booked a package to Florida with Travel Republic, sent references to flights which then were changed (as a result of Aer Lingus pulling out of Manchester) so now the booking references do not work and we cannot access our flights or book seats together (I am flying with my 11 year old son).
Sent numerous emails over the last 2 weeks, all ignored (Travel Republic did contact me but only to ask if they could move my booking to Travel Bag), spent hours upon hours trying without success to get through to their customer service team. Worryingly I have looked online at the Aer Lingus website and very few seats are left, only a couple sat together, which is extremely stressful. If I could go back in time I would never have booked with Travel Republic, and I would advise anyone on the fence to avoid as well, even if their prices are lower they absolutely will not help you if things go wrong.

Booked our holiday with this company based on the reviews on Trustpilot.
However, the app does not show our booking and they do not answer the telephone when you call - I have just held for 30 minutes.
There is no other means to contact them on the website or app.

The new Travel Republic website is awful. It’s messy, confusing, and not user-friendly at all. Simple tasks take far longer than they should. The previous layout was much better — this redesign feels like a big step backwards. Won't be using in future.

I have been trying to contact Travel Republic for 5 days now and have rung customer services about 50 times and not been able to speak to anyone.....
Don't book a holiday with travel republic!!
We booked a trip to the Maldives with travel republic and changed our original flights via email, which was all fine until we arrived in the Maldives yesterday, to be told that we had missed our transfer, as travel republic had not updated our transfer to align with the timings of our new flights.
We tried to contact the "emergency 24|7" contact number multiple times, we also tried messaging with no response.
Luckily our hotel were amazing and booked us on the next transfer, but we still had to wait for 6 hours in the airport, meaning we'd lost the first day of our holiday.
This happened 5 days ago and we are still yet to hear a word from travel republic, if it wasn't for the hotel being so accommodating, despite it not being their mess up, we would still be stuck in the airport a day later if it was all left down to travel republic.
