Chris Bazos did an excellent job designing and organizing the details of my family’s trip to Egypt. Chris designed the trip to make sure we saw the highlights of this beautiful country and enjoyed some unique experiences such as a visit with a local family. most importantly, Chris connected us with truly professional handlers, guides and drivers that ensured a well coordinated and enjoyable experience. This insider knowledge is priceless

Our guide, Elaine made our stay in Hong Kong, March 14 & 15, 2026, memorable, personal, and so enjoyable.
She planned experiences that included everything on our bucket list. From a river dinner cruise, to shopping, to visits to Buddhas, and cable car rides to experience incredible views of Hong Kong, we saw it all!
She was very attentive, making sure our understanding of her explanations were clear (two members had hearing issues). She contracted wonderful drivers. She readily shared her knowledge and experiences in Hong Kong, ensuring we were very informed!
She took us to see the Buddha, and we climbed all 198 stairs up to visit him, walked clockwise around, and honored him before climbing back down.
Our stops at the markets helped us fulfill our wish lists of souvenirs.
We changed our itinerary on day 2 with her help.
Day 2 was suppose to be a 7 hr day, but we hired Elaine for an extra 2 hrs she was so great!

Our last night, she took us to a wonderful, local restaurant. She ordered for us because no one in the restaurant spoke English! That is how totally local it was. AND what a great experience we had, delicious food.
Her knowledge and attention helped make our visit spectacular!

Very good journey as all other trips we had with Travelous. Everything was arranged well and driver/tour guide are excellent, professional and experienced.

The entire trip to Thailand was well planned and cordinated. All arrangements were as planned and the guides were all excellent. Listen to your local guides for any fine tuning in country, they know what they are doing.
This is our second trip with Travelous and we have been very satisifed on both trips.

The fact that Travelous has a 4.9 overall review rating says more than anything we can add. It is a world class operation that leaves nothing unattended. From Chris' passion, expertise and knowledge to utilizing the best service oriented guides, drivers, airport reps, etc., we experienced the finest adventure possible. Our trip to Jordan, Egypt and Morocco was outstanding on every front. We are already planning our Travelous trip to China later this year. 👍

Amazing experience in Egypt and Jordan! This was the third time using Travelous and they just keep delivering! The itineraries were amazing and all tours and guides were spectacular! The highlights were the pyramids at Giza and Petra but the entire trip was well crafted and truly once in a lifetime. Top notch hotels, guides, transportation, and service. Will definitely use them again!

We spent 10 fabulous days touring Egypt. Amazing sights - rivaled only by the fantastic team of Travelous professionals who made certain our stay was nothing short of perfect.
Chris Bazos' expert knowledge helped us craft an itinerary that checked all the boxes - from the pyramids of Giza, Saqqara, Memphis and Dahshur, to Luxor, Aswan, Abu Simbel, and back again to Cairo. With over 800 miles to cover end to end, multiple in-country flights, and over 5,000 years of history, there were a lot of moving parts. Chris' team on the ground was incredible. From the moment we landed to our final farewells, we were welcomed like family and treated like VIPs.
Our airport representative Samer and his colleagues Hamada and Hamadon kept all logistics running smoothly from start to finish.
Our expert private guides/certified Egyptologists - Samah in Cairo and Tarik in Luxor/Aswan - brought to life the many faces and voices of Egypt's ancient past. Together we explored tombs and temples, shared laughs and conversation over meals in local restaurants, cruised the Nile by motorboat, walked the streets of Old Cairo and were among the very lucky to visit the magnificent Grand Egyptian Museum just two days after it's official opening to the world.
Through Travelous, we were so fortunate to dine in Edfu as the guests of the most gracious Dr. Mohamed Sayed Mahmoud and his daughter Ziedan for a home-cooked meal in their authentic mudhouse. Hospitality we won't soon forget.
Our hotels - destinations unto themselves - were superb. The sight of the pyramids looming above the grounds of the Marriott Mena House, the view of the Nile from the veranda of the Legend Old Cataract Hotel, or the hot air balloons floating over the Valley of the Kings at sunrise from The Winter Palace are images that will live on in our mind's eye forever.

Our experience as a private tour group of four traveling for 10 days in Egypt was exceptional from start to finish. A trip with so much to see could turn into a blur, but our indispensable guides (Samah in Cairo, and Tarik in Luxor and Aswan) were exceptionally knowledgeable, impecabbly trained Egyptologists. They made the sites we saw come alive with their stories. We loved our trip to the GEM, boat rides on the Nile in Aswan, the Valley of the Kings by day and Luxor at night, our home-cooked meal at the home of Mohammed and his daughter, Ziedan, and the exotic Old Cataract hotel, a must-see place. Everything Travelous provided us ran like clockwork: the vans, the stops for sightseeing and meals, the travel around the country with their charming staff. We've traveled extensively and almost never book with tour companies but I can't imagine visiting Egypt without the guidance and insights Travelous gave us. Highly recommend.

The experience was so well
planned from start to finish, every detail was accounted for. The guides were so knowledgeable and provided just the right amount of information while working in enough down time so that we could enjoy our vacation as well as all the sites.

This was our 4th trip with Travelous. Once again, they provided a very memorable experience. The hotels were perfect, all in great locations. Transportation to and from the airport and between cities was seamless as always. The best thing about Chris and his team isn't the no sales pressure, the willingness to work with you to craft an itinerary that fits what you are looking for or the wonderful hotels they choose. It is their passion about what they do and to ensure you have the best experience possible. Life isn't always perfect, sometimes things go slightly awry and when they do know that Chris and his team will always make it right. I don't think you can ask for anything more. We will definitely use them again.

We first heard about Travelous and specifically Chris from several message boards while researching a 10-day overseas trip we’re planning for 2025. We had already gathered a lot of information from friends and even put together a detailed itinerary.

When we scheduled an appointment with Chris, he spent plenty of time reviewing our itinerary and patiently explaining how he would design the trip. His comments were thoughtful and insightful, and he went above and beyond by sending us a proposed plan without any expectation that we would commit to his agency.

What stood out most was that there was never any sales pressure. Chris genuinely focused on answering our questions and making sure we felt informed. We are still considering our options, but we believe he deserves this review for truly caring about customer satisfaction rather than just making a sale.

Travelous did a great job planning for our group of 43 in Rome! Transportation, hotel, and tours were great. Everyone was friendly and the whole experience was well organized.

Travelous provided "add-on" tours in cities before and after a cruise, including hotel accommodations and van service and to and from airports. It's been our experience that the company has tour contacts of the highest quality. In this instance, it was in Scandinavia, but we also had their expertise in Greece. Their hotel choices are first rate and we could rely on quality transport.

The first hotel in Stockholm had no elevator and we had heavy luggage to drag upstairs. There were only women working there, no porters. The hotel in Oslo had no air conditioning; we were there in July and it was extremely hot even at night and hard to sleep.
