Delivery Driver Damaged Property — Company Denies Responsibility Despite Own Photo Evidence
On 15 July, a delivery driver of the company threw a heavy amazon package (8 cartons of milk, ~2.5kg total) over our ca. 2.5m fence directly onto our patio grill, causing significant damage. The grill (€650 value) shows a deep impact indent on the hood where the package landed before falling to the ground, where it hit and destroyed a potted plant on the way down.
The delivery driver himself even uploaded a photo to our Amazon account – as is the rule to confirm delivery — showing the package on our patio. Conveniently taking the shot in an angle one can only see the dirt speckled package laying on the ground.
When we filed a damage claim to amazon and their claim provider including supporting photos, the delivery service denied responsibility, claiming "the milk didn't break and spill, so the delivery couldn't have caused the damage, the package could not have been thrown." This contradicts their own driver's mandatory photographic evidence of the delivery.
They're now refusing compensation and claim they're "prepared to go to court."
I've escalated further and filed an additional claim with Amazon and hope they ban the company from ever delivering packages for them again.
The previous review here and one I found on Facebook suggest it's a scam company running out of a garage, consistent with the experience I've had. They are a dubious company, and I do not recommended for fragile items or anyone valuing professional delivery service.
