3 months to process simple trademark submission ! Run from them !

They charged us $510 in fees, including a registration fee, and then did absolutely nothing for three months. No review, no submission, no communication. We had to follow up repeatedly just to get any response.

After more than 100 days, they finally submitted the application. By that time, someone else had already filed for the same name. This not only blocked us, it dragged us into a legal dispute and cost us four years of work on our brand.

When we asked for a refund of their service fee, they refused. The only money returned was the USPTO fee they never even submitted.

Taking three months just to file an application is unacceptable by any standard. This is not just poor service, it’s negligence. Avoid at all costs.

We are now considering legal action due to their negligence and the damage it caused to our business.

This entire company is a scam. DO NOT USE

I had a very disappointing experience with Trademark Engine / Swyft Legal.

During the checkout process, the pricing was not clearly presented as including a mandatory additional “attorney review” fee of $100 per class. After placing the order, I was informed that I would need to pay this additional fee per class in order for my trademark application to be submitted.

At no point did I explicitly opt into or agree to this legal service. The way the pricing is structured feels misleading, as it gives the impression of a lower cost upfront, only to require additional mandatory fees afterward.

When I raised this concern, the support team repeatedly stated that this was included in the Terms and Conditions, but did not address the lack of clear and transparent disclosure during the purchase flow.

Consumers should be aware that:

The advertised pricing does not reflect the true total cost

Additional fees may be required after checkout

There is no option to proceed without paying for the added legal service

I would strongly recommend that the company improve its pricing transparency and clearly disclose all mandatory fees upfront before customers complete their purchase.

Until then, I would advise others to proceed with caution or consider filing directly with the USPTO to avoid unexpected charges.

Our checkout process is designed to present itemized charges and disclose any applicable fees, so customers can be fully aware of the amount that will be required before completing a purchase. We appreciate your feedback and will continue refining how this information is presented.

When filing an application with us, we charge $450 per class. This includes the USPTO mandatory filing fee of $350 per class and our partner, Swyft Legal's fee of $100 per class. This fee is meant to cover the attorney's work related to reviewing your application for potential conflicts, accuracy, and completeness prior to submission. This step is included in the Limited Scope Agreement you agreed to and incorporated into the checkout flow, where it is disclosed as part of the overall purchase process.

We also want to ensure customers feel supported and are not just given policy language when bringing up their concerns. So your feedback regarding your interaction with our support team is especially valuable and will be shared internally so we can find the best way to coach our care team.

Per your request, we have provided a refund and cancellation. Please expect these funds back to your original form of payment within 5-10 business days.

My experience with Trademark Engine was…

My experience with Trademark Engine was not good. The process was much slower than expected, and it was never clear what the real benefit was of paying for options like “Express” or “Priority.”

In my opinion, both communication and transparency need significant improvement, especially for those who need to move quickly with processes like Amazon Brand Registry.

I would not recommend this service if you are looking for speed and clarity.
