Poor quality, terrible customer service

We bought a kitchen from Trade Kitchen Centre Hillington over a year ago. It was obvious immediately that the cupboards were poor quality with paint peeling off of them so we complained. We contacted the owner multiple times even visiting him in his showroom and at the Ideal home show. We have emailed and telephoned multiple times, so many times that I have lost count but certainly, over 20 telephone calls and emailed over 10 times. No calls or emails are ever returned. No follow-up happens.

After a year we finally got them to come out and inspect the quality of the cupboards and to discuss the broken cooker hood. He came with his Ops Manager who appeared initially to be more professional. The visit happened because the cooker hood chip blew. It transpired this was because it had been wired in directly with no fuse by the fitters recommended by trade kitchens. Unfortunately, the chip could not just be replaced as the hood and the cover had been glued in with sealer by the installers so the whole thing had to be removed. this pulled tiles off the wall because to was stuck to them by sealer. TKD agreed to pay for the replacement of the hood and to get the manufacturer's to inspect the poor cupboard quality. To date the hood replacement costs have been refunded but no inspection has even been booked after 9 weeks since the visit. When following up in the past week I have made a total of 9 telephone calls, 6 emails, 4 texts and had no response except to be told to stop calling and texting a personal mobile number.

Reasonable product -but !!!!!!

Bought a new kitchen from this company one year ago. There were several problems with the fitting. There was work unfinished and bits poorly installed and damaged cupboard doors with a promise they would be fixed. The problems started when we had a phone call mid morning to say fitting would be delayed by one day due to a problem at the factory, a phone call first thing would have been appropriate. We ordered stone type worktops. We were informed by the salesman that these are not fitted with the rest of the kitchen but three days later once all cabinets and appliances are fitted as a template is taken and the worktops cut to exact size. the factory manager informed us the process takes two weeks all we had was one small temporary worktop. One year on and numerous phone calls later still no progress. We even had to call the appliance manufacturers ourselves to have a set of user instructions sent for one of the appliances. The showroom staff who sold the kitchen instructed us to phone the fitters as it was their problem. They fail to understand the Sale of Goods Act that the people who sold the product are responsible for it and my contract is with them. Don't know how to proceed as can't afford to go to court for what are minor problems but causing a great deal of inconvenience and spoiling a new kitchen experience. I don't recommend this company especially after checking their product is overpriced.
