I am very happy with the first class service I received from Macauley at TJ Vickers Telford. He was very professional, answered all my questions promptly and sorted out a couple of issues very effectively. The trade in value for my old car was very competitive and my new Suzuki car was ready for collection on the day I agreed. Overall I highly recommend TJ Vickers and especially Macauley if you are considering a new vehicle.
Excellent service
Excellent service, recently purchased a used car from them and have nothing but praise! Very pleased with the car, I will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

Great experience. Wanted help buying a car for my Mom; they were good with me, straight to the point, what was possible, what was not, just open and transparent. Super sales person - Macauley - he understood the situation, and on collection day made the process easy and stress free. Really kind and considerate. Super sales / customer service. Well done T J Vickers

Dealt with tj vickers in Shrewsbury. Hallem really looked after me and listened to what I had to say. Gave me enough time to think about my purchase, which I am now very pleased with my Suzuki Swift. Amazing company and would definitely recommend!

I am over the moon with my Suzuki Swift…
I am over the moon with my Suzuki Swift purchased at T J Vickers, Telford. The dealership has a friendly atmosphere, everyone I met there was lovely. I was helped with the purchase by Steven Bailey, who I can't rate high enough, he was so welcoming, helpful and informative. I would definitely buy from this dealership again and will recommend to everyone I know. It is well worth a visit.

Purchased Fiat 500S on a 17 plate last week from TJ vickers Shrewsbury. Sales was top notch could not fault Barry at all.He talked us through the car and that was it. We bought it. Our choice. Had a couple of warranty jobs that required doing which the folks at TJ sorted for us. Honestly cannot fault the guys at all.
So easy nowadays for folks to be negative. There's no reason to be honest at all. We knew what we were after and the back up we have received is second to none.
Thanks to Stephen Carter Sales Director for all his help with the warranty issues. Superb service.
My worst buying experience ever
I have bought over 30 cars in my lifetime and I have to say the experience I had purchasing from T J Vickers Telford was the worst experience I have ever had.
All of the mistake, misrepresentations and issues were dismissed as their "human error".
When I asked to speak to the dealer principle I was told he was not available and would not make himself available.
I do understand that issues happen from time to time, however from my terrible experience the multiple issues appear pervasive and just shrugged off as "human error" on their part.
Ironically T J Vickers continue to pass my details to 3rd parties for sales events and keep contacting me despite my contact preferences and me repeatedy asking them to adhere to my wishes for no contact.
Positive experience
Staff were very professional and friendly and I would recommend them to other people.
Unprofessional and rude!!
Unprofessional and rude!!
We decided to pop in for a look for a new car and the salesman who saw to us was incredibly rude to us. Never been spoken to like that in a car garage ever!! That wasn’t the worst of it but I’d rather not go into it. Tried to ring the manager about it but apparently they could not be found on site?? We left soon after that will never set foot in there again. Very annoyed at the experience.
Well i believe they were very helpful
Well i believe they were very helpful i seen a car online at there Telford branch made a few texts followed up by a phone call .went to see the car next day very impressed so paid a deposit next day paid balance and arranged to pick car up the following week .once I collected car and started my trip home noticed the car had gone into off road high with out me touching any of the controls and told me to slow down .I could not go on the motorway like this so headed back to the dealership where they took car in to workshop then test drove it .told me a fuse had gone and was all good now .so had the car for a nearly 3 weeks now and all is good . Sales man did say he would phone the next day to see how I was getting on with the car .but never heard a word from him .that was a bit dissapointing but such is life . .11/06/2025 well latest up date i recently had my car serviced by rac at home service who reported a few issues with car contacted garage who which to inspect the car so will update after they have done there inspection 24/06/2025 well car was inspected and they have agreed to sort the issue out . Makes all the difference between a good dealership and a not so good one .one that looks after it's customers is always a better dealership
I wanted to support a local company
I wanted to support a local family-run Company.
Being an elderly lady with ADHD and Dyslexia who hasn't bought a car for over 20 Years, I will admit I needed extra support.
My first negative encounter with TJ Vickers, I was told I definitely could not put any money towards buying a car on my credit card it was a bank transfer only, paying £100+ protects you up to £30000. I later found out this was incorrect, and they would accept a deposit of up to £500.
Moving on I spoke to J sales Friday the 11th, and he said he had an alto in, I asked about the service history as a swift I was going to buy was missing at least 6 in a row, and I was told it had missed a couple when I turned up to test drive the car it had missed about 6 after a test drove the car I decided this would do me until I could trade it in for a swift at a later date with the same company. I had a few concerns I wanted to check out before I paid for it, mainly the shaking on idling, I also asked J if there was any sign of dampness on arrival as this model did have some problems with leaks into the back footwell, he replied not to his knowledge, so to me that was not sure.
I said that I was finding buying a car from the company difficult, and I felt it was difficult to ask questions, J sales reply was they had done a lot to help me, they had brought two cars out to me. I sales offered if I remember correctly, but yes, it was a lovely gesture on the company's part, I would have had the swift if it had not been missing the last six services, I was made to feel awful I never been made to feel like this before and would not accept any company bringing a car to me again. I said I did not appreciate J attitude, and at this point, he appeared to put the phone down on me.
Sadly, It's left me wondering what the after-sales service would be like.
Buy a Suzuki, just not from here! UPDATE, go to their Telford branch
UPDATE: TJ Vickers got in touch early this week and arranged for a good condition 2nd hand alloy to replace the buckled one. I got this done at their Telford branch as it was closer to where I live this morning. It was a very quick and easy process from the staff there. Thanks
---------------------------------------
I guess I should start at the beginning 9 months ago when purchasing a used swift sport from this dealer. Fist off they were very friendly and welcoming, happy for me to take the car on a test drive, and listen to my concerns and what I would need for me to purchase the car. This included body work repair (few dents here and there), a new bumper fitting as the current front splitter was damaged (its one unit with the bumper), and the alloy wheels refurbishing. I paid and walked away happy to collect my car in the next 1-2 weeks.
4 weeks later and I'm still trying to find out when I can collect my car, until finally I get the good news that all the work is done and I can come and collect it. I head on down to the dealership in the rain, do a quick look over the car in the rain and with not much light and it all looks good, so off I go.
The next day the sun is shining and I can look at my nice new car in all its glory. What the ****! The bumper sure has been replaced, but with one in worse condition. Filler everywhere, scratches all over, and the splitter broken, just in a different way.
I call up, complain, take it in for them to look at so I can get it sorted. They spend all of 1 second looking at it and instantly offer me a new bumper fitting or £500. Its almost as if they knew it was broken and were hoping to get away with it. So I take the new bumper (I do want a decent looking car after all) and drive away in a courtesy car with the promise it will be fixed as quick as possible.
2 weeks later and I'm still waiting for my car, but eventually I get it. I drive home, somewhat annoyed that its been 6 weeks but I finally have the car I bought.
Fast forward 7-8 months and I have taken my car into my local dealership (fantastic people and very helpful and friendly) for its first service with me to keep the warranty going. I get the report and my alloy is buckled in a place I clearly could not have seen as an owner, I don't have a ramp I can put it on in my driveway surprisingly.
I can only assume that this alloy has been like it since I bought the car as if I had done anything that extreme to produce the damage, I would have known about it, and at a minimum id have had to change the tyre, which I haven't. So after the fiasco of my bumper and the time it took them to get my car to me I have phoned them up, to essentially get a tough sh*t, not our problem.
I can fully understand not wanting to take sole responsibility straight away for it on their behalf but come on, offer to look at it, offer to do a discount on a new one, especially after everything that's happened so far, but no.
Buy a Suzuki, they are good cars! Just don't buy one from here. And for the love of all that is holy, don't ever get any work done here!
Absolute con artists
Absolute con artists. Sold my 70 year old mum a Fiat 500 with a faulty on the gearbox, refused to fix, refused to honour their obligations under the consumer rights act. Avoid at all costs, will rip you off and take advantage of those who aren't comfortable with cars.
Honestly couldn't fault the service
A genuinely friendly, helpful and efficient team. Every form of contact with this dealer, by email, phone and in person, was positive. From initial contact to final purchase and collection, both Jason and Illea helped make the process smooth and problem free. My new car (used SX40) was spotlessly clean and exactly as described. Honestly couldn't fault them.
ignorant
looked around their forecourt last Tuesday, no one came out to offer help, spotted a car and used to website option of asking a question about a particular car, got an immediate email saying they had my query and a member of the team would be in touch shortly, its now the following Wednesday, If this is what they are like when you are trying to buy a car I dread to think what their aftercare is like
