Small, cozy, convenient

I am Fifty- (cough) (cough) something. I was watching CNN and hearing how the next Candidate is going to send us straight to hell. AND then..... Out of the corner of my ear, I heard how X-Man Corp is going through a change this summer. The Fall of X. In the recesses of my mind I remember purchasing comic books very sporadically in the late 80's, early 90's. When I was a kid I would go to my cousins house out in the country and read boxes upon boxes of X-MEN Everything else was a waste of time. I was ten years old and faked stomach cramps just to go to the back of the ramshackle house, sit on the pot and read X-MEN. As a result I am now immune to Milk O' Magnesia.
Kirby..... Claremont.... Jim Lee...Modern Day Sophocles and Aeschylus. I am just a poor boy; Though my story's seldom told. Now that I am older I am collecting with some vigor.
Cut back to the end of this spring. I decided I was going to heavily collect Marvel X-Men what is now referred to as the post-Krakoan Age of the X-Men. I was set up with a subscription account for comics that are going to be released in a month or so. These comics are considered guaranteed. The immediate release of comics that are to be displayed/ released the following week are available for pre-purchase.
They offer discounts on FOC (Final Order Cutoff) ordering. Extremely Reasonable. Discounts on the FOC and the bags and boards.
The store has a small congenial atmosphere. The Owner runs the store with an IRON FIST and the underlings know their place. ( I really think someone might spit on my comics now!) All the guys are super friendly. They respond quickly with emails about my picks, changes, add ons and such. Where everybody knows your name, and You don't have fake the long-term effects of alcoholism.
The kids play card games. Gathering the Magic, Pokemon Cherylizarda, Star Wars stuff, Disney Lorcano. (pst... I am trying to get the owner to buy a larger space and play Games for Men. Board Games! You wanna die with a man's game, not a little sissy game like this.
This place is the Bob-omb. Tell em Contra sent you!
