TGP installed PV panels on my slate…
TGP installed PV panels on my slate roof. They broke nearly 100 slates, covering it up so I would not notice. It has cost me nearly £3000 to get my roof repaired. Their workmen were utter cowboys and the company are callous, greedy and untrustworthy. Strongly recommend you avoid them!
Think green partners are most un-professional solar installers ever avoid at all costs
Think green partners are most un-professional company i have ever dealt with avoid at all costs
I already had a work solar system and had been for 6 years one of there guys came out and sold me a panel by panel monitoring system - Tigos as my panels were all installed in parallel if one went faulty it would affect all the bank, the tigos would havr stopped that. I paid the money and they arrived late but arrived, the installers arrived in a battered old van, and they looked scruffy and smelled of cigarettes i didn't really like the look of them. They were supposed to install 15 tigos, a router for them to connect to and a dedicated power point. An hour later they said they had done after putting all the tigos in place.
I said what about the rest of the install , they knew nothing about it, so i made them ring the manager as i wouldn't allow them to leave. It turned out they didn't have the routers in stock which i had ordered and didn't know when it would be in stock. Also said another engineer would be come to fit when they had them and to do the power point.
Then other problems started to show, instantly i had no wifi as the tigos were flooding all my bandwidth which was a major problem as i was working from home. .The engineers then left after i was told the router would be a few days away, anyway a few days turned into a week and still nothing. In the mean time i still had the Wifi issues. They told me that no way could the tigos cause this with the wifi , but as i said to them how come at night when the solars aren't active then all my wifi goes back to full speed and the minute it starts getting light it stops, i couldnt even turn the solars off a the meter as the panels and the tigos get power from the inverter. I couldnt turn that off because i am disabled and couldnt get in the loft, so i was stuck all round. I had many an argument with the arrogant tech manager and his co-hort. So i started a major argument with them and after a week of arguments i told them to get back here and remove the tigos. So eventually they agreed and again the same scruffy engineers arrived , started chuntering at me and eventually removed the tigos and lo and behold my wifi started working straight away. They left and i got all my money back. Then the following day i found that my solar panels were not working at all and there were red error lights on the export meter and displaying on the solar (solax) inverter monitoring system. I rang them and they were not interested and it couldn't be possibly be them , even though they are the only ones who had been on my roof. In the end i had to read up on the error and mess around with all the wires , after a week of no solar i got it working , then started a full on argument with them to get compensation. I thought all was well again until yesterday when i had another company come to clean them and install some wire meshing round the underneath of the panels as we get a lot of birds round here. They took pictures to show me. Since the original problem last year id always thought the solars werent working as well as they had, but i put it down to me being paranoid. Anyway it turned out i wasnt. The new company found that they had over tightened 2 of the panels on the rear set and have damaged the panels, so instead of them working at around 85% efficiency which would be about right for the age (original install 2016), the 2 panels are only working at 60% and then they also showed me that 1 of the panels had been left disconnected because when the original company put the tigos in , they had to alter the wiring and had cut it too short to re-connect. So the new company fixed that at no cost for me
Ive rung Think Green Scam Artists and all i got was a very arrogant set of arguments from there Customer Service people , they say it cant possibly be them and i cant prove it and are saying the new company are trying to scam me, well the new company fixed it and didnt charge so very un-likely. The laugh of it all is, even though they know i was a customer at one point , and was incredibly un-happy with them , i still get there jumped up sales men calling me offering me their services.
I would have given them 0 stars if it would have allowed me
So now i have a solar system that isn't performing as well as it should and Think Green Scam Artists are not taking any responsibility as they are saying i could have been on roof and done it. So why would i unplug panels and over tighten them. What a joke this company is, AVOID AT ALL COSTS the NEGATIVE REVIEWS you read are true. If anyone sees a good review those people were either extremely lucky , haven't had any problems yet or they and i wouldn't be surprised if the reviews are fake.

Appalling company
The bad reviews of this company are absolutely right. They pray on the elderly selling them renewables systems such as heat pumps enticing them with the government grant they will receive, but this is useless if the system does not work. The company do NOT have any competent engineers working for them and have no expertise at all in the renewables industry. They are an appalling company and should have been struck off long ago.
New Inverter, Mesh Fitting and Panel Cleaning
The young lads, Nick & Callum, told me what they were going to do, proceeded to complete the works and no disruption to me, other than to sign paperwork upon completion.
Very impressed with their work. Super efficient and polite.
Brilliant job.

Do not use - ethical concerns.
I have had issues since September 2022, and I have serious ethical concerns about this company.
Do not use - horrendous customer service, never reply to emails, miss appointments & send aggressive sales advisors instead of tech support. Have no appreciation that customers find it frustrating when they get ignored, fobbed off, passed from person to person and wait in all day for a visit that never happens. Their complaints team aren't true complaints because when they don't like what they're hearing or you're not going to accept their fobbing off they just stop replying to emails or taking your call. I still have unresolved issues 8 months later and if I dare call for information I get overspoken & threatened with the call being terminated. They hung up on me recently, replied to an email and then stopped replying again so I had no choice but to call in today. I wasn't allowed to speak, the lady who answered was instantly aggressive with me and said she was going to terminate the call (again). I have been accused of speaking to them in an acceptable way, I will be the first to admit I have explained my frustrations, how unhappy I am and been firm on calls, but who wouldn't be after being messed around for 8 months.
They don't reply to emails unless you raise an issue or complaint, they've booked appointments and then not turned up without a word, sent an aggressive salesman to my house instead of tech support who told me I needed to buy 2 more solar panel storage batteries to ensure that I didn't experience black outs in winter (proceeded to show me data proving this was going to happen - spoiler alert it didn't). This made me increasingly concerned for elderly customers they may have, who would be scared into buying everything under the sun.
I have all issues recorded in emails, including how long things have taken to resolve & what is outstanding all these months later and will now be left no choice to report them as I am worried about anyone else using this company. I'm really concerned about less savvy elderly people (like the previous owners of my property).
Today I was told I am not a customer so they are not going to deal with me, I explained I am as I inherited the solar panels when I bought this property and I was told I am not a customer because I have spent no money with them. Wow.
In response to Think Green Partners reply - under no circumstances should customers be fobbed off, ignored, have to spend 8 months asking for simple information, have to chase up months after no reply and then be threatened with a call being terminated because the information you tell me is online & obvious isn't and covers three business names. Preet told me I could not go to another supplier when I asked if I could, now you won't speak to me to supply a document relating to my property that you state you have in your possession and stops me going elsewhere. You clearly don't want me to be a client, I don't want to have anything to do with your company so holding back simple information is baffling, you could provide the information and I'd happily never speak to your business again.

This company targets elderly, vulnerable people
Avoid this company. They sold my elderly mother expensive equipment that she didn’t need, despite her clearly being vulnerable and not understanding what the equipment was for. When I contacted the company they showed no concern or interest in rectifying what they had done. I have reported the company for fraud and I recommend that others do the same.

Trust and the unprofessional way this company operates
I was cold called by the company saying that there were government grants available. I explained that they were not working due to a faulty inverter and a broken panel. I also explained that due to shading on the floor mounted panels we did not make much money out of them and on reflection at the time had been miss sold them (approximately 8 years ago). The representative said that there were government grants available to cover the cost of a micro inverter and the cost of a new panel. I said that due to the low return and the money I had spent so far I was not willing to spend any more money on them and was told that this would not be a problem and arranged for a representative to visit.
However, a day later the company rang me back with the opening sales pitch and I explained that I had already spoken to them and had arranged a representative to come round which they didn’t seem aware of.
On the day of the visit I spoke to the representative in the afternoon and he said that he had tried to ring to arrange a visit in the morning (the appointment was booked for the afternoon). I explained that I had told green partners I would be out all morning hence booking the appointment in the afternoon.
He asked about the broken panel and thought it had been removed (it hadn’t) and asked about re-arranging the appointment. I said yes, but re-iterated that I was not willing to spend any more money on the panels. He said that would not be possible and there would be some cost involved. I said that I had told the company that I was not willing to and he said that that would be impossible calling his colleagues ‘clowns’ for saying this. I said that I found the whole experience misleading, unprofessional and left me feeling very nervous and untrustworthy of the company. Based on my experience I found the company misleading, their practice very dubious and very untrustworthy. I would definitely not use this company or advise anyone else to do so based on my experience.
We were considering buying battery…
We were considering buying battery storage to compliment our solar panels so we're pleased to have TGP quote and surprised able to get speedy installation. Price was competitive and fitted shortly after. Slight misunderstanding with extent of supply was quickly resolved. A small CT defect was eventually corrected now all working well charging both overnight and from solar. Staff all quite young and informal but got job done even though minimal details of site situation provided. Growatt system provided has useful computer and mobile monitoring schematics.

Quick customer service from a competent and helpful compnany
I was very impressed with the rapid response from TGP when my solar batteries switched off with a loud bang. I reported the incident at 17.15 on 20/02/23 and was immediately offered a visit for 09.00on the next day. The technician arrived on time and was the cheerful man who originally installed the equipment, so knew the layout. He checked everything and diagnosed a transitory power failure. The equipment had already reset itself and is performing well. The reassurance he gave me was very welcome. I congratulate Think Green Partners on their excellent customer service

Unsatisfactory work and lack of care.
This is not a complaint about a specific occasion in my relationship with this company since October 2021 to date. After sales treatment is abysmal and a battery installation started in June 2021 has only just been completed and not to my entire satisfaction. The standard on technical knowledge and skill demonstrated during installation mostly well below average.
I was looking for advice on solar as I…
I was looking for advice on solar as I moved from Essex to Sunderland and my property had solar from the previous owners, TGP gave me the advice I needed and offered me a free site visit to check everything over and also a quotation for some battery storage, the customer services team were polite and very helpful. I look forward to the visit!
Useful upgrade to existing solar system
Already had solar panels and battery but welcomed opportunity to upgrade to bigger battery and ability to charge battery overnight from grid when electricity cheaper as well as using solar energy generated during the day. No pressure to upgrade. Installation today efficiently completed in short time by friendly and knowledgeable installation team. Customer services team always friendly well informed and efficient from my point of view.
service and staff perfect
service and staff perfect. have dealt with them on numerous occasions and have been very well treated with all work and correspondence. highly recommended.
Myself and my partner just bought our…
Myself and my partner just bought our first house and have been interested in solar due to the cost of energy bills rising at the moment, I called for a quotation and a survey the team were very helpful and I was very impressed with the turn around, I had a surveyor come out go my property the next day and have been given a quote for my property already and have a potential install date!
All good here
all work completed quickly and efficiently no problems so far (only 24 hours) all the work carried out by TGP on my property seems better than previously done by other (disappeared) companies.
Already had solar panels
Already had solar panels, TGP fitted a lux power tek and us 3,000 battery very happy with the installation the two lads that came were on time and did a very tidy job, very polite and friendly this is why we gave 5 stars. They were also very helpful over the phone.
Hopeless Customer Service
I had hoped I was dealing with a reliable company.
Two additional batteries were installed along with a Lux Power charger on 7 Dec. I also signed up for a 7-year Heat Pump service plan. Having emailed twice about a battery being in the alarm state, there have been no replies. I had been told the heat pump would be serviced in the afternoon of 16 Dec & I would be given a time in the morning. When I rang this afternoon to find out what time to expect someone I was advised there was no booking & nothing is bookable now until 3 Jan!! Will Customer Services get back to me this afternoon about the fault that has now developed with the heat pump?
