Truly awful food

Oh, I so wish I had checked some of these reviews before we visited here on the last Wednesday in August.

We bought 2 chili con carnies, a burger and a chicken burger.
First shock - it all came to about £45.
Why was this a shock? It was during 'eat out to help out' so expected about half that.
I asked, and they said they weren't doing that. So, first warning - they couldn't be bothered to do what just about every other restaurant had done.
A sign of things to come...

The food arrived in rather odd cardboard boxes - even the chili, where the box contained two tiny stainless steel bowls with the rice and meat - so they were still doing washing up.

The chili should have been reported to the advertising standards authority - it didn't contain any chili - nor any other seasoning, judging by the lack of flavour.
Meat and tomato certainly, but that was it.
I get that you were busy that day, but so busy that the cook didn't have time to season the food?

The beef burger had a distinctly odd flavour - so much so that my daughter couldn't eat it. If it didn't have that flavour, she'd have needed a few more drinks though. To say it was dry would be an understatement - I had a bite and could feel the moisture disappearing from my mouth.
We told the waitress when she cleared the table, but got little more than a grunt in response.

The chicken burger was just about edible.

This place has such a fantastic location, but seems to be just living off the fact the are the biggest place there and that people will see the place - and its views and go there - like we did.

Please, if you read this before it's too late - go somewhere else. There are a few places to eat on Worm's Head, so don't make the same mistake that we did!
