I have no complaint with the quality of the fish delivered BUT I can’t get my head around how they are allowed to sell fish at between weights ie 160-180 gram at the same price? It’s advertised at a price but weights vary but price the same.
JUST ASKING .

Fresh seafood and fish, high quality, delivered with ice packs, and reliable delivery. Have ordered several times and have been really pleased with the variety and quality offered. Have tried new products that did not disappoint, wish they would bring back the coconut prawns!

Placed my first order from upper scale on Sunday afternoon, quickly received delivery details and the delivery arrived via DHL on Tuesday.
Packaged perfectly, my order was in great condition despite the 200 mile journey to here in Devon. Very impressed and will order again.

I'll give this company 5 stars although there was a delay in the delivery, but that was down to UPS. Amanda, from the office, sent an email out to be around 7pm to explain things and the product arrived 7.30pm. I was given a refund on the postage and I don't think their office could have done anything more for me.
Update... I've just received a £20 voucher from the company. Just to clarify, my order was technically delivered the next working day, so the company had mat it's obligations, although it was delivered in the evening. So I couldn't ask for more and thank you again Amanda

I was given a wrong information about the delivery service with some incoherent explanation from the office staff so I asked for a correct info and better communication. All they did was twist my words, so I escalted it to the management, then they started sending me lenghthy emails to accuse me.

The order did arrive but their haddocks smelt like it had gone off so I did not use it. Other fish was fine. Of course I did not bother reporting it to them as I didn't want to be harassed and bullied again.

I had been their customer for several years but I will stay away from them from now on, I am scared of the upperscale, it's not worth it and I don't deserve this treatment.

I am extremely disappointed with the delivery service from Upperscale. On multiple occasions, their driver has refused to deliver my order to my flat door, despite there being available parking nearby. Instead, I’m asked to come down to the van, which defeats the purpose of a delivery service.

This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable, especially considering I’ve never had this issue with other drivers in the past. I expected much better and will be reconsidering my future orders.

I have to note though that their fish is of good quality and their customer service (the lady I correspond with over email) is very helpful.

I'm thoroughly impressed with The Upper Scale.

I first heard about The Upper Scale a long time ago from Jay Rayner on The Kitchen Cabinet but then I forgot about it. Then I got a voucher to try them and I’m so glad I did. The fish is really fresh and delicious. Will definitely be using them again - highly recommended.

We have been using UpperScale on a regular basis ever since the Covid lock-down when it was very difficult to get fresh fish. Since then we have been placing regular, sometimes weekly, orders. We have been consistently impressed at the quality and range of their products, the efficiency and friendliness of the customer service, the excellent packaging and the reliability of delivery. A first class company.

I've used this online fishmonger a few timescand it's very reliable with delicious produce. Very fresh, decent sized portions and variety. I managed to get mixed up with my last delivery and they were fantastic at sorting it out and very understanding so equally good customer service. Well worth getting your fish and seafood from.

I have been using Upper Scale since pandemic and love it. On average we order 4/5 times a month and they never disappoint. Great service, great quality.

What a fantastic service! Super helpful and speedy with their email replies and advice, friendly on the phone and they delivered fresh lobsters on next day. Thanks guys will absolutely use in future.

I spent a long time researching various fishmongers for a New Year’s Eve meal and was so impressed with the upper scale - really reasonable prices, good variety of seafood (I got clams, mussels, red snapper and cleaned squid) that all came freshly prepared with quick delivery. I even emailed the morning of delivery with instructions (I probably only gave 1 hours notice) and they replied straight away and followed the instructions no issue / driver sent a photo confirmation by text.

Also really appreciate the how-to prep videos and recipe ideas - very simple and clear!

A note to Adrian the owner. When a loyal customer (consumer side) for 3 years asks for supply for a new food business and you brush them off, you fail to understand that small businesses become bigger businesses, and referrals provide growth. The opposite is also true. You may want to think your customer service approach and skills.

Excellent experience shopping with these guys. I needed some Swordfish to cook a Sicilian recipe, but having no idea where to find it in London I closed my eyes and jumped into the google void...
Luckily found Theupperscale, the fish was fresh, neatly packed and preserved for shipment. it was on my table in less than 24hr. I won't just use them again and again, but will strongly recommend to all my foodie friends!

I ordered at 2.30pm and it arrived fresh 9am in the morning from Billingsgate market. You cannot get fresher fish than that or a better service.

My only tiny disappointment was that Black cod had a lot of bones in the fillets.

I discovered The Upper Scale during the lockdown from a friend who works in the fine dining industry and recommended me to use them. As he is very fussy, I thought I'd give it a go.
I don't buy my fish from supermarkets anymore. The quality of the fish is superior, the prices are very competitive, the service has always been good and I like the idea to support small businesses instead of massive supermarket brands.
