I bought the “smart bunker “ as I live alone and suffering from a cancer diagnosis. The YouTube video was disingenuous as it was done by a very hefty man in seconds.
This is not the reality. I attempted to assemble it alone but was left breathless and in tears.
I contacted the company and Niall, the owner, told me to “get the coal man to do it”
I was both disappointed and disgusted by this misogynistic attitude as nowhere in the marketing does it say that it would need “a man” to assemble it.
It sat for weeks gathering rain until a friend offered to assemble it - then it continually got stuck even though the ovoids were the correct size. One morning in frustration I shook the whole thing and when I put my bucket in, nearly the whole contents of the bunker came out.
I am sorely and feel I was deceived by this purchase. My advice, stick to what you know. At least you know what you’re getting.
The marketing that “I watched my mother struggle” pulls on a certain demographic and that is false. The handle is difficult to use and the steels opening jams constantly.
It’s the most expensive white elephant I have ever purchased. I am on a pension and I would like my money back

Prior to delivery, assembly instructions, a video guide and fuel suitability information were provided, and throughout our conversations I made a number of attempts to assist and find a practical solution to the issues you raised.
My suggestion regarding your coalman was intended purely as a practical way to help. My understanding was that your coalman had recommended the Smart Bunker, and I asked for his contact details so that I could speak with him directly regarding assembly and fuel suitability to help ensure the product worked correctly for you.
I also offered further assistance and support in an effort to resolve the matter.
As a small family business, we take customer feedback seriously and always try our best to help where we can. I regret that we were unable to find a resolution that met your expectations.
