I bought a coat for my daughter’s Christmas present. I followed washing/drying instructions. The foam has completely disintegrated inside the coat. I contacted customers however I have been advised it’s because of condensation, it’s a machine washable coat! Please don’t waste your money on their products, the quality is terrible. The service is appalling!!
Avoid The North Face
Purchased a jacket for my son for Christmas only to find out his mother had already bought it so I returned it using their return method. It's been over a month. I'm on my 2nd credit card payment still awaiting a return credit. By reading other reviews & seeing others that are dealing with the same issue, this is looking more & more like an upcoming class action law suit. I hope others read these reviews & steer clear of The North Face. A very criminal company.

worst customer service I've ever seen
My Base Camp backpack (made of polypropylene or something like that) literally melted (whether it was in the sun or for some other reason, it's hard to say). The useless customer support has been messing with my head for three weeks now, drawing some weird X on the logos and promising to send me a gift card. But for three weeks now, there hasn't been any gift card and they don't respond to emails at all. The worst customer service I've ever seen.

I’ve had an extremely disappointing experience with The North Face’s customer service and warranty process.
My coat was faulty the first, which was then replaced. The same issue happened again.
I was explicitly told in-store that sending my coat for repair would not affect my ability to make a warranty claim, as the item was with them during the warranty period. I relied on this advice. However, once the repair was completed,(a poor job where it’s obvious and the colour doesn’t match), my warranty claim was refused on the basis that the warranty period had ended.
What’s most frustrating is that I submitted my claim and all supporting evidence on time, yet my emails and chat messages went unanswered for months. Despite repeatedly sending photos and details, I received no response until much later, only to be told the warranty could no longer be honoured.
This is not simply a warranty timeframe issue; it’s a failure in communication and customer care, compounded by incorrect advice from staff. This coat was one of my favourite items, and I expected better from a brand that promotes quality and durability.
I’m extremely disappointed with how this has been handled and would not trust the warranty process again based on this experience.

I bought a Northface jacket online as an early xmas present on Dec 4 and the gift did not fit the person it was gift to. I went to their site to return and they said on chat that it is outside the window for the 30 day return policy. How can this be for a present that was bought early as it was only returned to me yesterday. The jacket itself is junk. No cell phone pockets and does not fit as stated. I bought a large for a person who always takes large and it is way to big, Now I have a junk jacket for 161.00 . So never ever by a Northface jacket for many reasons but if you must by it never online as there is no one to talk to as it always goes to chat.
Buyer Beware!
The North Face's quality has significantly declined within the past couple years. I recently purchased two puffers, one in November and one in December thinking because one was at a higher price point that the quality would be better. I was highly incorrect, both jackets were extremely thin. When I attempted to make a review, it was never approved. Which makes me think that they only post positive reviews rather than realistic ones.

If you return they will keep your money
Literally stole £500 from me. Returned my order, using their return process and courior. Had confirmation from the courior the parcel had been recieved but heard nothing from The North Face for weeks, called them, they said they'd look into it, then got an email saying they never recieved it so wouldn't be issuing a refund and the decision is final. I'm not sure how they can even get away with it but it's beyond bad customer service it's borderline criminal. I'm genuinely a pretty understanding person, if they'd queried it, asked me questions, asked for proof or whatever I'd have provided it but they just outright refused with no discussion. Will never buy from them again.

My mother purchased a couple of pricy items for me for Christmas on Nov 29,2025 a resonable amount of time when shopping this time of year. The zipper broke on a North Face wind breaker I owned and I went to the North Face store near me and they told me that North Face no longer takes damaged items in store and that I should instead go on-line for repairs. The North Face representative made it sound like they were doing me a favor. Next, I went on-line filled out the information and provided pictures of the broken zipper. After that, I received an e-mail from Jacob K. with the North Face Online Customer Care Team, asking follow-up questions and wanting more pictures. I promptly responded with answers to Jacob K's questions and provided the requested pictures, but since than there has been no response from Jacob K. or North Face. After several follow-up attempts, still no response. Apparently, North Face no longer cares about Customer Service. After decades of being a loyal North Face Customer, I intend to look someplace else for my outdoor equipment needs.

North face courier lost my parcel and I had to chase 4 times to receive my refund. Customer service kept telling me to wait but never received it despite me never getting the parcel in the first place. Had to report the transaction to my bank as fraud and still waiting for my £320 back!
Dog smell on North Face artic PARKA
I purchased the North Face Artic Parka in October 2025. I was satisfied with it but last month I had to wash it as got stained. Its appearance is unchanged but it smelled very strongly of wet dog (coming from the inside) meaning that the feathers weren't sterilised properly in the making process. I have had it professionally cleaned but the coat has still an unpleasant odour and I am not able to wear it. I therefore sent it back asking for a refund, but they replied saying that they couldn't detect any smell so I won't receive any refund. I am extremely disappointed and won't buy from North Face again. I have read many other reviews about dog smell on North Face down jackets so my case is clearly not a on off.
