From my very first call with Mick at The Loft Cleaning Company, I immediately felt a strong sense of trust and confidence in his understanding of the job. His depth of knowledge, clarity of explanation, and calm professionalism stood out straight away. Throughout the entire process, Mick stayed in constant touch — an essential quality for any customer — and he was flexible, reliable, and genuinely committed to meeting my timescales.

I obtained three competitive quotes for the work. Mick was not the cheapest, but his experience, honesty, and technical understanding were far superior, and each conversation reinforced that I was choosing the right person. He proved to be a fair, thoughtful, and attentive listener who genuinely wanted to deliver the best outcome.

The work itself was completed to an exceptionally high standard. Mick worked tirelessly and went the extra mile whenever needed. Although the company is listed as The Loft Cleaning Company, Mick does far more than that. He fully sealed the loft to make it rat‑ and vermin‑proof, transformed our old, dirty airing cupboard into an immaculate and usable storage space, and installed a new loft ladder and hatch — all finished with precision and care.

Mick is a no‑nonsense professional who takes pride in doing things properly. His workmanship, communication, and integrity are outstanding. We are extremely pleased with the results and would recommend him without hesitation.

Mick & his assistant came to clear out & clean the loft at my late mother’s house. They did a great job & kept smiling despite the dust & bat droppings! They were really helpful & careful, letting me know if boxes contained important things, so that family treasures were not just thrown away. The loft was left shining, not a cobweb in sight & completely disinfected!
It was really a great relief for me to be able to count on professionals that got the job down in record time!
I definitely recommend their services & would use this company again without hesitation!

I called Mick on Tuesday, he quoted me and arrived Thursday. Half a day to clean where pigeons had nested and found some dead squirrels! Disinfected, sprayed and sealed up the holes. Great job and service.

Mick was supposed to clear our attic in 1 day (potentially returning for a few hours the following day). In the end, he stretched the whole thing out to 6 days over a few months, each time showing up for a few hours at most, clearing a few things and then coming up with reasons why he needed 'just 1 more day' and more money to do anything else. He caused signifcant damage to our walls, doors and carpet while moving objects, which required a complete redecoration afterwards. Though he was friendly when we met him, he became very unpleasant when asked to do what he had promised. He never finished the job, in the end we did it ourselves (though he did take a lot of money). Don't trust this man!

Michael Major visited our home, we were booked in for a loft clean and for it to be insulated and boarded- a 2 day job.

Firstly Michael seems to be a very friendly, chatty man and very knowledgeable when it comes to lofts!

Despite reading other reviews, we went ahead and booked Michael. He asked for pre payment, in advance, which we declined and Michael still came to clean the loft. He asked again for a pre payment of over £1000, 2 hours into the loft clean, for the following day and based on other reviews we obviously declined. He cancelled the second day as he “didn’t want to faff with money”

We were quoted £300 for the loft clean and then charged £500 for half a days work and a 2 hour lunch break. There was already no insulation in the loft as it was done this beforehand.
My partner came home and went to see Michael and actually helped carry all the bags from the loft and put them outside as he seemed to be dragging the job out. He also didn’t remove any of the rubbish and it was all left on our drive.

Despite this Michael gave us some great advice regarding damp and what needs doing in our loft. And did a very good and thorough loft clean.

Michael would have been a great option if he hadn’t insisted on upfront payment. In another instance this may not have been an issue but based on his past reviews we had to trust our better judgment.

Great company to deal with. Michael was really helpful and gave a quote really quickly. His quote was really reasonable and the work he did was amazing! He worked really hard to clean our two lofts. We changed our mind on a couple of things when he was working and he had no problem with it. He was really tidy and cleaned and hoovered the rooms where he had entered the loft spaces.
Nothing was too much trouble and I would recommend 100%. Thank you

A thief and liar. Please take note of the previous bad reviews. He took my money and did only half the work and never returned.

Michael is the name of cleaner. He did some cleaning but no where near to the standard required. There were cobwebs and dust left over. He promised to steam the loft which he didn’t do as well.

He promised to dispose of the rubbish from our loft. He left it outside our house and never returned to dispose of it.

He was meant to work on adding a membrane to the loft. He took some money for the work and never came to do it.

I have rang several times to have my work completed and he chooses to ignore my calls.

AVOID THIS COMPANY.

Michael ripped us off with a suboptimal cleaning of the loft.

I see that the website has now been taken down. I too was ripped off. I feel very foolish. They did a poor job cleaning my loft and did not take all the rubbish out of the loft as was part of the agreement. They then disappeared and left all the bags of debris in my side alley. I pestered and pestered and 2 weeks later they came to take it away.

I hired Michael Major to change the insulation of our loft. He came with another person and did a very poor cleaning, then told me he would finish it the next day and would start putting the new insulation, subsequently he asked for the material cost. I transferred the money and he just disappeared, he does not reply messages, emails or calls.

One thing, this is not a company, i searched on the government website and it is not registered. This is just a man with a van. Ask him for insurance if you have already hired him and whatever you, do not pay him until everything is finished.
