An absolute lack of contact

An absolute lack of contact. Will never answer any of their phone lines during working hours leading to impossibly strained communication. Tone on emails is also rude.

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid

TheLettingsGroup is an awful estate agent.

After booking a viewing in May 2021, I turned up at the property to find more than three different groups had been invited to the same viewing. This breached the following UK coronavirus measure that was in place at the time:

‘Rule of six’ or two households allowed for indoor social gatherings

During the viewing, information was provided about the property that later turned out to be untrue.

Staff are untrustworthy, unpleasant and unprofessional. The location of the company is regularly changed on Google Maps- probably to avoid more poor reviews- and their current one on Ducie Street in the Northern Quarter does not even exist. 'Dodgy' barely comes close.

If you see these crooks advertising accommodation to rent in the Manchester area, stay well, well away.

The absolute worst, AVOID!

The absolute worst. Do not follow the law, and do not care. They have several properties in Manchester. Avoid at all costs if you are a tenant and/or landlord. Run by two completely incompetent and ignorant people: Tamara and Olivia. They claim not to have employed a "Jo", though I'm certain it's just one of them signing off their emails with this name to try and avoid any bad reviews.

They keep trying to delete bad reviews on here that people have left them. Just look anywhere else on the internet and you will see what people think of their professionalism... They do not even have a branch in Manchester, and their phone lines do not appear to work when I've tried calling them. They act with complete ignorance of the law.

Professional, helpful and quick!

Tamara and Olivia have been incredibly helpful, quick to reply and extremely professional. I found myself in a situation where I was unable to continue on with the lease agreement and they were both understanding and sympathetic and quick to help me find a replacement.
I can’t say nice enough things about them both and my experience overall.

I have recently just taken a flat with this company, and everything from the moving in to the explanation about living there has been great. We had an issue with a previous letting agents- but the girl who checked us in could not have been more thought of coming and kind! Shame I can’t remember her name!! Highly recommend

Avoid if you wish to rent!

Where do I start from...We got our 1st apartment in the UK from Karen & her husband. They had advertised the apartment for a certain price and I rang them up and got to the apartment within the hour only to be told that the price I saw had been taken up and other 2 were available for £50 higher. (That should have raised some alarm but I desperately needed a place as I was new in the country).I guess I was lucky that her husband was around and I was able to bargain to get the price I initially saw.
In the contract, there were different threats of paying for fixing stuffs if they stopped working and luckily for us, nothing did.
After sending in our end of contract notice, Karen insisted that we agree to a £200 deduction in our deposit to clean the property after we left. She dint give a reference for our next landlord because we dint agree to it! She made sure she made away with £120 of our deposit to replace a mattress that was originally stained when we got the apartment -as we were new in the country, we dint know a stain like that needed to be reported at the beginning(our fault/ignorance). That was very upsetting because the mattress wasnt good originally and caused us pains every single day we slept on it. She even said some places were not well cleaned and she would overlook those. It was all a lie cos the Karen I dealt with will be more than happy to get more money from me if it were so. Also, I'm a stickler for cleanliness and I put in extra effort to restore the apartment in a better way than I rented it! To be honest, We ignorantly broke one of the contract terms and Karen threatened that the landlord would take it up if we contested the deposit reduction.
Karen could be courteous when she wants to but in the final analysis, she doesnt care much as long as you are a tenant.
The landlords are happy with the way Karen treats tenants and that's where she gets her high ratings.if you are a tenant, the treatment you will get from her in addition to paying your rents and her high referencing fee (£200 per person) is not worth it.
