Went to the head of steam in Manchester went to the bar ordered medium white wine and a double jack Daniels and coke £15.50 went to bar again same drinks £17.20 so we thought it's because I'm paying by card and it's an automatic tip so went up again paid cash same drinks £18.20 what's going on tried to talk to someone about it but the place is that noisy and the staff say they are to busy so like idiots we get one more drink same order £18.50. Never again I think the staff are putting there own tips on

Head of steam Sheffield - overpriced and loud! But was worth it to see the amazing magician @gregholroydweddingmagic . He blew us away!!!! Fantastic magician

It gets a one just for the Nacho burger that my other half actually enjoyed!!

Where do I start… firstly, I ordered the chicken gyros… “sorry, got no gyros!”
No problem, I’ll have the chicken and mushroom pizza…. “Sorry no mushrooms!” Bearing in mind it was only 2.30pm on a Sunday and the pub was literally empty.
(Might be something to do with no sky sports being on when it’s clearly advertised everywhere in the pub.)

Settled on the buffalo chicken burger…. Which finally arrived with an apology for the 20+ min wait.

“Buffalo burger with our own blend of herbs and spices and coated in buffalo hot sauce…fresh lettuce and tomato with a ranch dressing”

It was a frozen chicken burger that was actually cold with hot sauce poured over the top. No ranch dressing and a tiny, sweaty piece of lettuce that i quickly removed!
This coupled With 2 pints of larger….. £46!!! 🤦‍♂️

Wouldn’t go back if you paid me!!

Ps… my partner had to check 3 toilet cubicles to find some toilet paper when leaving !!!

we emailed ahead of time to let the staff know about a costume based pub crawl. We received an email back saying it was fine. Upon arriving, the bouncers refused a friend service due to wearing shorts (he was dressed as a referee). When we tried to dispute our non-entry, the bouncer told us “either deal with it or f off”. I can imagine this is very disappointing for the manager, who lost out on over £100 worth of custom, with a group of over 20. The bouncer repeatedly told us to “fk off” despite us being calm. I really hope the manager sacks these bouncers, as they lost them a LOT of money.

Head of steam Hull. A very expensive place to drink at. Especially when a half of real ale cost £3.95

Head of Steam Leeds is an absolute gem! The service at the bar was super quick, and the range of drinks is incredible—everything from well-known brands to unique and unusual IPAs. If you love trying new things, this is the place to be!

The Nacho Burger was out of this world—packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. And the portion of spicy chips you get? Massive! A real delight on the taste buds.

The atmosphere is great, and all the staff are polite and friendly. A special shoutout to Amber, who was especially lovely and made the experience even better. Highly recommend—I'll definitely be back!

Very comfortable & relaxed place for pint. I highly recommend & there beers are awesome.

Brilliant service and awesome fun especially on quiz nights

I'll be avoiding this pub in Liverpool city centre from now on. Despite being dog friendly, which is why we went there, I got fleeced by one of the bar staff when I paid in cash for a drink. I handed the girl £20 for a gin and tonic and only got back £2+ in change. When I queried it with her, she told me I only gave her a tenner, which is a total lie as I only had one twenty left as I had planned to use the rest to pay for parking. I was with friends I hadn't seen in ages so I didn't want to make a big fuss and get the manager involved but I wouldn't be surprised if she does it on a regular basis so I'll be avoiding this pub from now on as there are plenty in the city centre to choose from! #adiós

Absolutely amazing service from all the staff. We had a private party upstairs and everything was fab - the food was delicious and plenty of it, the staff were super helpful - we had a fab night! A special shout out to Nell who put everything together. Would 100% recommend!

Excellent customer care from a lady i did catch her name. But she went above any beyond for me and my daughter. We were seeing a show at the lyceum. But had limited time due to unfortunate being new to traveling round sheffeild. She put of food through as V.i.p and continously updated us. She even checked with the theatre members of staff in how long we had left.
I just thought she was amazing!!! I can't wait to return because the food was so yummy too but this time we will be there a few hours before lol. Thankyou ❤️

£10 for a mocktail? The same price as an alcoholic drink??? Nah mate. Most overpriced 'Mr Freeze' EVER. If you're not a lush, avoid these rip-off merchants like the plague - there are most definitely better made and cheaper mocktails elsewhere in Sheffield that don't fill the glass with crushed ice, flash a bit of fruit syrup at it whilst having your pants down for the (dis) pleasure.

Went to The Head of Steam in Hull with my two daughters, the menu had some great vegan and veggie options. The food was delcious, the lovely young man who served us and tended the bar was professional, friendly and amazing. Brilliant service and
great surroundings.

OK, I know a pub may not be a normal setting or a one-year-old birthday party! But the staff at Head of Steam didsbury went out their way to make it a wonderful experience. We started the day at 12pm through to 5pm and they allowed us to put up balloons, set out a table for us and even cordoned off the little area. I can't recall the names, but I think it is TyeO and the rest of the team - Father Xmas lookalike and Alex! (Apols if wrong names) But such a wonderful experience and I can't thank the team enough. Also - the food at this place is incredible - honestly, it's not your standard pub grub but delicious side plates. Thanks again guys!

Absolutely 💯 customer service, Scott is an amazing asset to this establishment, he is very knowledgeable and understands customer needs , definitely be recommending to friends and family, and will definitely be returning, thank you Head of steam, but cheers to Scott 😎👌

Really like this venue. Helpful staff and great craft beer selection.

Went with a group of 10 having preordered our food. Took an hour to get it and my gyros was ok but the wrap was very thick and the whole thing dry. Several ordered pizza which was virtually inedible- they left most of it. Drinks were extortionate - £7.50 for a small glass of mediocre wine and £6 for a pint of cider. Service was also appalling. Over priced for bad food and second rate drinks. If you charge premium prices you should provide a premium product. They don’t. I won’t be back and would recommend others don’t.

I thought Head Of Steam was an absolute brilliant place to vent my problems. My dad is too old to understand though. He pretends to be as cool as the head of steam. Everyone there is just on the same wavelength. Such a wonderful atmosphere.
