Unacceptable Delivery Handling & Zero Accountability

I ordered a product from Textilshop.at, expecting a professional and secure delivery. Instead, the courier left my package outside without my authorization, where it was damaged. Despite repeatedly requesting proof that I had consented to this, the company failed to provide any evidence—because none exists.

At no point was I informed which courier would be delivering my parcel, nor was I given a tracking number in advance. I never authorized an unattended delivery, nor was I contacted by the courier to approve such a drop-off. Yet, Textilshop.at has refused to take responsibility for the failure, instead shifting blame onto the courier and asking me to chase them for answers.

Under EU consumer law, the seller is responsible for the goods until they are in the customer’s possession—not dumped outside. Instead of properly handling the issue, Textilshop.at ignored their legal obligations, provided no resolution, and left me with a damaged item.

If you value customer service and reliable delivery, I strongly advise against purchasing from this company. A responsible business should own up to delivery failures instead of pushing the blame onto a third party.

I will be escalating this case with the European Consumer Centre Austria and Austria’s Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs (BMDW). I hope my experience helps future customers avoid the same frustration. You can follow up with me by email, order 89005.

3 stars, because I don’t speak German and there is no option to switch to English. This is not ok, when you ship internationally.
