Placed an order
Placed an order, parts were supposed to be in stock. They were not, and the order was not shipped. I was not notified that the order was a problem until I reached out my self wondering why there was no tracking number. In the mean time, we needed a part of the order that was in stock in a bad way for a race event. We didn’t get to finish the engines build for the race event. Better communication is needed.

We have investigated your order to better understand what happened. Our webshop indicates whether a product is in stock, but it does not display the exact quantity available. In this case, the quantity ordered exceeded the stock we had available at the time.
In addition, one of the parts you ordered was not only out of stock at Ten Kate, but was also unavailable from our supplier, which resulted in a longer lead time than expected. We acknowledge that we did not proactively inform you that this item was on backorder. However, after you contacted us for an update, we responded as quickly as possible and offered an alternative solution for the unavailable part.
Although we have handled the follow-up to your inquiry promptly, we understand and appreciate your feedback regarding communication during the backorder process. At Ten Kate, we strive for a fully transparent ordering process and excellent customer service. We will take your comments into account and use them to improve our communication in similar situations in the future.

It was urgent and they helped me get my parts in due time before my event by fast international delivery. Much appreciated delivery time and sincerely impressed with their willingness to help. Definitely I will order my parts there again

At Ten Kate, we only ship via DHL courier, as it is a fast and reliable shipping method that includes tracking for our customers. We understand that, for smaller orders, the shipping cost can sometimes exceed the value of the items. For this reason, we always provide a shipping offer that includes the option to cancel the order before proceeding.
In your case, you chose to cancel the order because the shipping cost was disproportionate to the value of the six screws. We have therefore refunded your payment in full. Additionally, we provided you with the screw dimensions to help you find an alternative solution locally.
We truly appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration for future improvements. However, we also believe we have handled your order in a fair and respectful manner.
