We purchased Tempur Cosmos Luxe…

We purchased Tempur Cosmos Luxe Sensation, Queen size mattress from Tempur at Harvey Norman in October 2022. We paid $6000 with the expectation of long-term premium quality and durability.

For the first couple of years, the mattress performed as expected. However, after around 3 years of normal use, the mattress cover began to develop significant pilling across the surface. This has continued to worsen over time.

Importantly, the affected areas are exactly where the body lies on the mattress, making the issue very noticeable during sleep. The surface now feels rough to the touch, which is uncomfortable and not what you expect from a premium product.

We have always used mattress protectors (including ones purchased from the same retailer), so this is not due to misuse or lack of care. We also have clear photos documenting the condition of the cover.
We contacted Tempur Sealy Australia customer care and were advised that pilling “can happen” and is not covered under warranty as it does not affect performance. While this may be their policy, it is disappointing and does not align with expectations for a mattress at this price point.

The deterioration has negatively impacted our comfort and overall sleep experience. For such an expensive product, both durability and after-sales support should be significantly better.

Based on our experience, we recommend that potential buyers think carefully before investing in this product. At this price level, issues like this should not occur within a few years of normal use.

They don't respect their warranty

I am one of several whose reviews revolve around the same issue, a company that does not stand behind their product, their warranty, and offers no quality, all of which is false advertising to say the least.

This is my experience:
I have not been able to have a proper sleep on this mattress and that my back pains as a result are unbearable. Constant turning and turning creates static and electric shocks and lights coming out of the mattress, which is even worse.

Sealy claims that the mattress requires a 1.5 inch dip for them to even consider doing anything, this is totally unreasonable. Regardless of that 1.5 inch dip, this mattress is still under warranty and my body is in pain all day long. Trying to sleep on this mattress is damaging my health and Sealy, the manufacturer, ignores the warranty and doing anything to help this issue. They pretend that I continue to use it and wait for a 1.5 inch dip to decide to do anything, which they won't, as they will find any other excuse to avoid any service to the customer.

Do yourselves a favour and do not even consider a Sealy mattress, no matter how much advertising you see about their quality and warranties. They are NILL. Terrible company to deal with. It's all false advertising.

Tempur Sealy Stay away. They dont stand by their producty

We purchased a pillow top. The chemicals and material used to make the product has caused
allergic reaction. I have contacted Tempur Sealy they informed me they are not responsible for any
problems in their toppers, and they do not care about people medical reactions to their products. I
am requesting for our money back because we can not use the topper nor there were no tests
made to ensure that the material were safe

Sealy and the Ghost Warranty

Upon selecting a Sealy Mattress, the purchase was made and the warranty of 10 years, "No Questions Asked" was attached. Within the 5th year, a noticeable problem arose as the center sag became increasingly apparent. The furniture store and the mfg. were notified. For weeks and endless hours on the phone; speaking with 5 different Cust. Serv. Reps. from Sealy, the ball has not moved from center stage one inch. The endless looping of excuses and false statements, and outright misconduct is rampant in Sealy; including employees who represent themselves as one thing only to find out their position was hardly higher than a phone monkey.

The company uses the Cust. Serv. Reps as a false front with no intention of ever resolving any warranty issue. To wit; pictures, proof of sales, matress tag images, and on and on; were all lost of conveniently not located when transferred to a different agent.

The company is ripe with those whose sanity is questioned; as who in their right mind would ever enjoy the looping of customers into a never ending problem; unless they were completely insane themselves, then it all seems to come clear.

Avoid Sealy and their disasterous products and by all means.. if you get the chance.. send them on a wild goose chase..it would send them a clear picture.. but the insane would probably miss it entirely.

Stearns and Foster Windsor Castle Euro Pillow Top Ultra Luxury Plush Mattress at the Baie

This is now my 3rd replacement. Quality control is rubbish. My Girlfriend rolls into me when she gets in. I have trouble changing positions. The Baie doesn't want to deal with it any longer and S & F simply do not reply. This has a $3000 price tag just for the Mattress and it's thrown out $ as I am now looking for a new mattress after only 7 months. Have not had a good night's sleep in a long while and wake up broken up. While the Mattress looks esthetically beautiful, it just doesn't do the job, and at 16+ inches deep is quite hard to find a fitted sheet. You'll also break into a sweat simply trying to turn it as it weighs a ton. Even though I had all the paperwork and original invoice which was still under it'a original warranty, La Baie refused to help. I needed assistance from the BBB and Consumer Protection.
