The Agent for Tel3 I spoke to today was Kerry Baker…

The Agent for Tel3 I spoke to today was simply GREAT. I have had help from him previously for a problem wuth Tel3 and today I was fortunate enough to receive his help again. I had a few problems with Tel3 and he SOLVED them again. I was goib3g to ask for a refund - but he put me right back on track. Thank you Kerry for your patience and knowledge and of course your friendly manner. You have restored my Faith in Te3 which in some part was my error. From Carol Pellegrini. Thanks again Kerry ☺ 😊

Reviews work, and my account is now once again in effect

My unfortunate review led to a call from Kary, who apologized and reset my account. I'd thought I made a call within 12 months, but his records showed otherwise. It's vital to put something in your date book to remind you if you haven't used the service in awhile to make even a one minute call to keep the account going. Kary was caring and I appreciate his follow-through. I must say, Tel 3 was always a great service -- even allowed fax calls at one time -- but, as always with price changes, the calls have gone up, so they're offering a bargain at the moment to recharge for $10 and you get fifty or sixty bucks more, don't remember. It's unfortunate one has to go through this process to get results, but it worked. Kary assures me he is getting the staff reorganized, so that service calls will be answered in a timely manner.

I have used the service for over 10…

I have used the service for over 10 years, any issues had been resolved by them satisfactorily in the past. Now I find my account blocked and my account balance has likely been eaten up by them. No one answers the phone. They probably closed up shop and disappeared into the ether.

Addendum.. A few hours after posting this, I received a call back with my account being reinstated. Apparently they lock the account if it hasn't been used in a year.Things are back to normal now, I'm glad they addressed this in a timely manner.

Connection issue fixed!

I am a long-term customer of Tel3 and have been satisfied with their long-distance phone service. As is the case with all Telecom companies, there are occasional technical issues and brief service interruptions. I reported a recent connection issue on Jan 28 and 29. Kary Baker at Tel3 issued a service ticket on Jan 29 (Sunday late afternoon) and the matter was fixed by Jan 31. Thanks for the prompt service. Martin Kamber

Local Access Numbers But No Service

I booked a trip to Puerto Vallarta for February 2023. I was looking forward to using Tel3 to call home to Canada. I went on their website and noted 3 local access numbers for Mexico. I called customer service to clarify how to use these numbers and was told the service does not work in Mexico any more. Apparently it hasn't worked there for over a year. it would have been nice if something was said to that effect on their website. But they continue to give the local access numbers with nothing stating there's no service in Mexico.

I wonder how many more countries there are that they give local access numbers for but no service?

Tel3 is incommunicado and they cut me off my prepaid service

was cut off - money left in account - Your call is being connected – then a male voice says dial 0 star -
then it says - press 1 – then same – then it says heavy volume – then a repeated call beep beep for eternity – 5 days in a row
my message when trying to get to my account and money left with them is :
"This user name has been blocked for security reasons. Please click Forgot my User Name link to reset your password.

Mr Kary

Mr. Kary took care of problems I had with my account. I am very satisfied. It was very refreshing to be able to talk to person who cared. My account was reactivated and new founds showed up.

After trying to add money to my account…

After trying to add money to my account without success,I received a phone call from a most pleasant person with an apology. Mr. Kary was most helpful. In no time the money was added to my account. Mr. Kary also helped me to open an account on line. He walked me through the process taking all the time I needed. I am not so good with computers. Thank you Mr. Kary.

Just had a call back from a customer support rep

Just had a call back from a customer service representative in Florida. He was extremely helpful, reactivated my non use account and, and, gave me a credit for being a long-time customer. I was surprised after reading the reviews and certainly did not expect a call after submitting a request online. He said they are trying to catch up and improve the customer support and my experience certainly proves that. So, I wouldn't give up on Tel3 just yet. And yes, they have put their rates up but hey, you can't expect long distance calls for free !!

GOT FIXED QUICK

First, could not log on to my account. Made contact and within 4 hours all went well with a long-on fix and a re-charge of my account fix via telephone call from Tel3.

We used this for years and then the…

We used this for years and then the calls to Honduras, the only reason we used the service, would never go through. Filed "numerous" forms with them and had numerous conversations reference our issues and asked for a refund of 50+ dollars left in our account. We were told many times this would be handled and over two years later, still nothing. Was once told they had a cash flow issue and the refund would be processed in the near future.

Great Help With Everything

Things were looking hopeless when I tried to recharge my account: my old email address (required) no longer worked, and besides that I had changed my home address and wanted to use a different credit card. The published phone number for tel3 rang and rang without being answered by an operator. I found an alternate number on a Trust Pilot review, namely 800-611-3622, and spoke to Kary, who corrected all of the information on file, recharged my account, and gave me a $70 bonus in my account. Problem solved! Thank you, Kary! I couldn't be happier with the service you gave.

Unblock account

I just added minutes and also wanted to update my email address. After doing so, I went to confirm change and lost the email to insert code. Then I was blocked. I contacted support and never received a response. I called the support but no one answered. I was able to find 800-611-3622 and Kerry answered. He listened carefully to my issues and had me unblocked and all issues resolved in a few minutes. Once Kerry answered the phone I had great service.

Looks like a scam company

I have an account with them and I have been using since 2016 but now I cannot even use my account, which is blocked and I called their technical support number but no one answers the call, keeps ringing forever; I also sent them an email but no response. Looks like they just wrapped up their business and all my account balance with them is gone. I will not recommend this company if I what happened to me is something that can happen to anyone else.

A RIP OFF

All their local access numbers are now disconnected. I think they went belly up. IF they're still advertising, don't give this business your money. They had it together for the first few years but no more. I still have money in my account that I'm now saying "bye bye" to.

Lost all my money too

This is a recurring story with so many recent reviews - my account was suspended because I forgot my password and I tried multiple times to call customer service and was on hold for over an hour each time. Finally got through on 7th call at 1 hour 20 minutes. They told me that I hadn't used my account in over a year so it was in the T&Cs that they can suspend my account and take my money, and basically it was my fault for not reading the T&Cs when I signed up. I have not used the account because I have not been traveling due to COVID and like the others, they have now taken my money without even notifying me that there was a year cutoff, or even that they were going to do it - USD$78 in my case. So upsetting, because they used to be great and now I would advise everyone to avoid them.

Would give zero stars if I could

Would give zero stars if I could. Have been a tel3 customer for many years and was quite satisfied until the last year or two when could not access account, or access number, or customer service, still have money in my account which I cannot use. The deals they offer are ridiculous in that whatever free minutes they are offering aren’t usable and you just end up giving them more money to top up your account and can’t access. THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!
