I am writing this review to share my factual experience regarding the refund policy and sales tactics used by this company.
1. False Urgency: The website utilises a countdown timer that suggests a "sale" is ending imminently. In my experience, this created a sense of false urgency to purchase.
2. Refund Obstacles: The company’s Terms and Conditions (Section 6) state that customers are entitled to a full refund within 14 days for any reason. I requested a refund on Day 7, well within this window.
3. The "Learner Agreement" Loophole: Despite my 14-day statutory rights, the company refused my refund. They claimed that by signing an administrative "Learner Agreement" form—which is required to even see the course—I had waived my right to a refund.
4. 0% Progress: Most significantly, the company admitted to me in writing via email that my course progress was at 0% and that I had not accessed or streamed any content. Despite this admission that no digital service had been consumed, they still refused to honor the 14-day cooling-off period.
Conclusion: I found the process of trying to exercise my legal rights incredibly circular and frustrating. I have had to involve my bank to protect my funds. I would advise potential students to be extremely cautious and read the "Learner Agreement" very carefully, as the company appears to use it to override their own 14-day refund promise.
UPDATE 06/05/2026: The company has replied with a generic template that fails to address any of the factual points raised. They suggest they would be "happy to help" if I want to "get back into teaching," yet they continue to refuse a refund for a course I have 0% progress on and haven't even started. This dismissive response further confirms the lack of transparency regarding their 14-day refund policy. Still awaiting a resolution.

I never contacted Tefl, yet they have been sending me marketing messages completely without my consent and then it was a process to be removed. Always a bad sign in a business.
I contacted TEFL to complain and to remove my email address from further contact. TEFL confirmed that I never gave them my email address and so it was done without any consent, but they still chose to send me marketing messages. At least they have now removed my details.

The exercises in the modules were challenging and excellent.
The exercises in the modules were extremely helpful. Kudos to Iona, who conducted the 20-hour portion of the course. Iona is a truly outstanding instructor who put a great deal of enthusiasm and thought into our course. As an older student, I would like to personally thank Iona for the Powerpoint challenges. As a retired relationship manager, I had access to a marketing team who put all of our presentations together for us.

This was a great affordable course that I would recommend for anybody like me looking for a career change into TEFL. My only complaint was that my assignments kept on being flagged as AI generated, something I'm very against. AI checkers are very inaccurate and the company really should use a different one or scrap it altogether. Whilst responses were fast, the only reply I got to this issue was 'write a few paragraphs to explain how you wrote this'.

A good experience
Asif, my tutor has been polite and helpful throughout the course with specific and detailed feedback. The flexibility of the online course really helps out in planning and scheduling time. The content as well was quite relevant.
One thing which can be worked upon, would be 'the two-way' communication process, for doubts and queries, within the portal itself (instead of discord).

Rigorous and Engaging

Study progress reveted several times
My husband is taking 120 hours.online tefl cource.
I am extremely disappointed with the technical support at The TEFL Org. For the past several days, he has been unable to finish his course because his learning progress keeps reverting to a previous state.
He has tried everything on my end:
clearing cache, using different browsers (Chrome, Safari, Edge), and even using Incognito mode. Nothing works.
What’s worse is the complete lack of communication. I have tried reaching out via phone and text multiple times, but I have received zero response. This is unacceptable for a paid certification course, especially when he has a strict deadline to meet.
If this issue is not resolved immediately and his progress is not restored, I will be forced to request a full refund or initiate a chargeback through my credit card provider. Please contact me and fix this bug now.
