A Massive Disappointment in a 65 Inch Box

I thought I was getting the deal of the century with this TCL 65 inch TV but it turns out I just bought a very large and very expensive paperweight. They say you get what you pay for and in this case that is unfortunately true.
Picture Quality
The screen real estate is the only thing this TV has going for it. The actual picture quality is poor at best. Colors look washed out and the contrast is nonexistent. Instead of deep blacks you get a muddy grey that ruins any cinematic experience. Even after tweaking every setting in the menu the image remains blurry and lacks the sharpness you would expect from a modern set.
Audio Performance
Do not be fooled by the branding. Despite the box proudly listing Dolby and Onkyo audio the sound is absolute garbage. It is tinny and flat with zero bass. It feels like the internal speakers are struggling just to produce clear dialogue. You would think a partnership with reputable audio brands would mean something but it sounds like a cheap radio from twenty years ago.
Processing Power
The built in processor is painfully slow. Navigating through apps or trying to stream movies is a test of patience. It stutters constantly and there is a noticeable lag between pressing a button and the TV actually responding. It simply cannot handle the demands of modern streaming software.
Final Verdict
Even though you are getting a 65 inch screen for the price of a 24 inch model you would be much better off spending your money on a decent 24 inch TV from a reputable brand. Quality beats quantity every single time. Save your sanity and your money and look elsewhere.

I will not give them even one star…

I will not give them even one star because their customer service is very poor or just say they do not exist at all because i have been contacting them since last 2 days because i have an issue in my TCL tv and they will just say on the call that someone will contact us and visit to us resolve this issue but they have not even contacted me back and after 2-3 hours they will just send the message that (the query number(for example 1367…..) has been resolved from our end we hope that you like our service and give your feedback how you like our service on the given link below) so i wanted to take this platform to tell them that i have been very pleased with your not so helpful service that you have provided to us and of course i will never ever buy any item from TCL company. I hope you had a great day because we are very pleased by your support and to purchase the product of your company🙏

I love the picture and the value for the money. However I cannot watch TV right now because my wife is out of town and it requires her phone to type in the Google password. Talk about ridiculous. I should be able to watch my television anytime without having to deal with a password.

Too bad I can’t give a no star rating

Too bad I can’t give a no star rating. I’ve been attempting to resolve a warranty issue for several months. They keep giving me a bunch diagnostic steps, all of which I have done, which has not solved the problem. So they try to blame the streaming service, which is simply not the problem since another tv on the same service works just fine. Then they won’t believe me. DO NOT BUY A TCL TV! THEIR WARRANTY IS WORTHLESS!

I bought a 65C655 TV. 17 months later, vertical and horizontal stripes appeared. In spanish laws, the product is still in warranty.

They refuse to repair/substitute, they do false claims of physical damage, forcing me to sue them.

NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE

NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE. Great picture quality. Thats the ONLY positive thing I can offer. Stunted use. Scrolling channels takes ages. Takes at least 2 mins to warm up. Wish I hadn't bought it. Waste of money. Curry's, shame on you for selling such trash! Csluatomer services also useless.

Piece of Junk

We have a 75 inch TCL tv that suddenly would not move off the logo screen. We tried to factory reset it without success, it just kept returning to the logo screen. For two months I've been trying to resolve this with customer support without any success. Beware of buying a TCL TV.

Bought a TCL 43T6C-UK Fire TV from Argos. It is rubbish.
Impossible to read the instructions as the script is so small. remote controller is difficult to decipher what the symbols are for. Picture Quality not as good as a Samsung TV. A Universal Remote Controller cannot be programmed to use with the TV. Codes are not accepted. The Menu is so hard to understand and 'Set Up' is not simple. Overall, Don't buy this TV. I will be re-selling it at the earliest opportunity.

I wish I could give them zero stars for their QLED

I wish I could give them zero stars. It was a poor, cheap, and unprofessional experience. My QLED TV has malfunctioned four times, but each time they sent the same faulty model. They seem very cheap and unprofessional, a group of people gathered to exploit Indian consumers financially.

TCL worst customer support.

I have a 65" tcl that's 2 months old. Recently the TV started randomly turning on by itself. I called support they had ME troubleshooting the TV. After 15 minutes I requested a tech come to the house. Questioning why I had the fix MY tv after only 2 months, they told my that's how it works. I've had LGs and Samsungs in the past. I can safely say TCL is the absolute worst.

Check thoroughly after unboxing.

Bought a TCL Q7C TV from Sonic Direct in Bradford. I watched an unboxing video on YouTube prior to TV being delivered. When unpacking I noticed no poly protection on speakers or bezel as in video. Screws that attach the base, no plate in where Phillips screwdriver fits. I should have seen sense and returned it. Been playing with the many picture settings now for 3 weeks still haven't got a decent picture you'd expect from a £640 55 inch TV. Due to missing poly film protection and screws the TV has obviously been to another customer who has returned it. But TCL and Sonic both swear it's brand new. Wish I'd read the reviews on TCL on here before buying. TCL won't replace it neither will Sonic without TCLs say so. You live and learn.

Horrible TV!!

Horrible TV!!! Have never had a TV quite as bad as this! Turn it on, it shuts right off. Have to do this 3-5 times for it to actually turn on. Sometimes I have to hit a button numerous times for TV to react. TV will freeze, have to back out of app. Sometimes it's as slow 🐌 as a turtle 🐢. Would never waste my money 💰 on any TCL product again.

My 3-month old TCL TV Model 40S5K…

My 3-month old TCL TV Model 40S5K indicated it needed an online update. After proceeding with the update the TV worked for a while until it advised that it had encountered a problem and that I should contact TCL.

I contacted TCL Tech Support and they advised me how to reset the TV. The TV then worked fine for the day. TCL provided me an email with the reset instructions and advised that I should do this once per month.

Next morning the TV would not start. I unplugged the TV from Power and then plugged it in again. TV then started. I emailed TCL Tech Support and did not receive a call or advice how to solve the problem.

Next morning, TV would not start. I unplugged the TV and then when I plugged the TV into power, it started and performed well. I proceeded to follow the reset instructions that I received earlier in the week. TV worked for the day, after the reset.

Next day, TV would not start again. I called TCL Tech Support and requested a replacement TV under warranty.

TCL advised that they will not provide a replacement until I proceed to undertake further service steps with them on the phone. They advised that if the problem cannot be fixed, they would send a technician to my home. If this did not fix the fault, only then they would consider replacing the TV.

I advised TCL I would write this review and that I would not waste my time any more with this poor quality TV.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR, DO NOT BUY THIS TV.

TVL 65” TV - a dark experience

I bought a TVL 65” TV, good deal, and in the store the picture looked fine but when I got it home, it worked okay for a while and then started having issues where it would get super dark all of a sudden, pictures, menus etc. you could hard restart it all you wanted it would stay dark. Leave it over night, back to okay, for a while. It overall o should have spent $200 more and bought a Samsung.

TCL 50S5K-UK TV..Amazing picture & sound..

I bought this tv last week and OMG what a tv this is...
M
Me & my wifed moved into a park home and only had our 55" Toshiba tv so needed a tv for the main bedroom. After consultation with my wife she said to get a 32-43 inch tv, no larger.
So i went looking and after weighing up the tv's i'd seen decided the TCL 50S5K-UK was the one for me, i mean us..
The tv is so easy to set-up, it's as light as a feather and is by far the best tv we've ever had.
The picture is absolutely amazing, crisp, clear and makes literally everything look like your actually in the tv & on the pitch, court etc it's a Qled tv so it's as good as it gets.(depending on the sport) or on the set of a programme or film.
The sound is superb, i've read reviews regarding TCL tv's saying they sound "tinny"? Well they must've been watcing in a can because this tv's sound is perfect.
Finally, the price! Well i paid less than £250 for this...£250, really! That is absolutely nothing compared to other tv's, a S**Y 43" tv was £1,100 more, for what? The picture & sound on this tv is perfect, and there's money for a holiday abroad, yes right a Holiday..
Wow, looking at the reviews on here it seems i've bought the only TCL tv that is any good, however i would like to give some pointers.
Firstly the tv is an Android tv, Not a Google tv, hence why someone who's left a review is struggling with google.
Secondly If people were to google/use their internet browser they would see that the reason why you cannot get BBC iplayer isn't TCL's fault it actually states on the BBC iplayer page that only "some" older TCL tv's are able to get the iplayer app, the reason being the new TCL tv's as mine is, aren't able to get the app due to BBC updating the TCL tv's starting with the older models, BBC iplayer "will" be available when the BBC has caught up. So you really do need to get the facts before you slate a company in a review.
Oh! And as for adverts, i have absolutely no idea what those reviews are all about, i haven't seen one ad on the tv aside from the usual ones you get on "all" tv's, you know ITV etc, and as for ads anyway that's what youtube etc live off, get on and live with it..

TCL is absolutely garbage. Do not buy. Never had an issue with samsung. Sony or LG. Stick to these brands only for TV. TCL like xiaomi are garbage tv's. Good hardware, trash software like the phones.
