Mariagiulia was very efficient and thorough, perhaps more thorough than we wanted as we were in a hurry. She did not give in to our urges to cut corners but made sure she did her job in a very professional way. I would recommend her to anyone, unless they are in a real hurry.

Catastrophic experience! A shocking display of incompetence. The list is long but includes chasing us for documents after acknowledging receipt, clunky online forms that recorded the opposite to what we answered, confusing and misleading advice, no response to questions raised through the portal for over a week with completion imminent, and so on. Avoid at all costs if you can.

We recently used Taylor Rose Solicitors for our remortgage and Help to Buy loan redemption, and we couldn't be happier with the service we received. Anyone who has dealt with Help to Buy knows it can be a complex process, but the team made everything run seamlessly from start to finish.

Honestly I would avoid this firm unless you have no other option.

Easiest sale you could ever imagine. Cash buyer buying a property through an estate agent.
Think again, between Barnard Marcus and now being assigned to Taylor Rose it has been a nightmare.

We were initially not sent the documentation to sign up for the online portal (apparently I'd have had a phone call but received nothing). They then financially lock you in before you even start with a £100 fee to "set up the account". Naturally I expect if you have problems this is non-refundable so they are quids in before they've even started.

From then on - despite being an LPA for a vulnerable adult - I received 1 reply a day until I pointed out this was not acceptable and was considering changing solicitors.
Despite UK guidance stating it's acceptable to use the online LPA (which has all the same information as a paper copy) this is not accepted by Taylor Rose - they want a certified (costs to do this at a local solicitors firm) copy or you can send it to them. Great, my local branch.. right? No, that would be easy for customers. You have to pay to get it sent off to Peterborough.

Information we can provide is lacking due to the vulnerable adult we are representing having had a stroke and been living in various hotels for the past 6 months, the information they are asking for isn't even pertinent to the case. Given it takes your firm 6 days to respond to queries, what benefit will knowledge of their current hotel be if they move to a different one before you next respond?

Nothing but delays and ridiculous questions on what should have been a quick process. Go with a local firm where you can actually see and communicate with a solicitor. I have asked for the initial upfront payment to be refunded and will go with a local firm. No surprises that this firm is chosen by estate agents, why anyone would go with them willingly is baffling.

I have been told I will be receiving a refund from Taylor Rose regarding the initial set up payment so we can take our business elsewhere.
