From start to finish its been really really hard work to make this claim. Functionality of website. In fairness the Young Lady I dealt with was proper impressive but everyone else very faceless. No consideration with regards to circumstance MID East Crisis.
Definately would not recommend this isnt off the back of a rejected pay out. More just how they have treated me. They paid out but the defaqto rating is very wrong....Jumped through more hoops than my dog at crufts.

A lot easier than I thought, of course they require a fair amount of documents for the claim to be processed, but work efficiently and do everything they can to support your claim. Really impressed!

Not a pleasant experience.
Dragged my claim out by continually asking for more and more information and stating I had not filled in the correct claim form, I initially filled in a Staysure form which wasn't acceptable to Taurus so I had to submit a claim on a Taurus form.
It would be made easier if you had requested ALL the information you required at the start and not spreading this out over several weeks.

Quick, Easy, Pleasant to deal with. 10/10
Easy to understand the process. Options available to suit convenience when having work carried out. Payment was very quick once docs all provided and review stages are quick and not left for days. Claims give me anxiety as often more admin that they are worth, not the case here.

You get what you pay for. My phone had a mechanical issue with the speaker 3 months before the end of the contract. To claim, I would have to pay a £150 excess so decided to just live with it for the remaining term of the contract as it didn't seem worth paying that much for 3 months use. The claims process was "clunky". Wouldn't insure with them again.

Gadget insurance for 360 Camera
I've never had to use gadget insurance before but I was pleasantly surprised by the service from Taurus. Really frustrating to lose my 360 camera whilst on holiday and I wasn't sure how easy or successful a claim would be but actually it was very easy for the initial claim, providing further information and payment. Slightly frustrating that accessories (SD card and selfie stick) aren't included but it does say that on the policy. Overall very pleased with the service.

Absolutely horrific customer service, if you have any kind of insurance with this company, cancel it and find another company to insure with. They will charge you more money to fix their mistakes.
Want to complain about it to their complaints team, sure they will investigate it, "we are sorry you are not happy with our service, we found no fault, we will not uphold your complaint"
The bonus is they do leave a link to the financial ombudsman service in their rejection letter, so I don't have to "look" for it.
UPDATE: After giving Taurus all the information they asked for... still no response.
A truly incompetent company.

Very quick to handle, review and pay my claim.
My insurance is through HolidayExtras and I had to make a claim on a accidentally damaged phone. The claim via HE was problematic initially and took 6-8 weeks before they redirected me to raise a new claim with Taurus Insurange Services - presumably they manage the claims for the HE Insurance Policy.
I already had everything they required lined up, raised the new claim on a Monday and pretty much approved and paid out by the Friday. Can't complain with the service Taurus provided.

Easy simple quick process
After such a terrible experience whilst on holiday and having never had to use insurance we were incredibly nervous about how hard it would be to navigate putting a claim in...we can't believe how helpful amd quick Taurus have been in approving out claim we are so greatful for it to of been so straightforward and easy!

Dont buy for backpacker Gadget Insurance
My Daughter's iPhone 12 was stolen in Rio. She submitted a claim and they have asked for:-
- Photo of box- Please provide a photo of the device box confirming both IMEI number and / or serial number.
DOES ANYONE KEEP THESE?
I DONT THINK IT IS REASONABLE TO EXPECT SOMEONE WHO IS BACKPACKING TO HAVE TAKEN THE BOX WITH THEM AND UNTIL THIS REQUEST, I HAVE NOT HEARD OF PEOPLE TAKING A PHOTO OF THE BOX WHEN THEY GET A NEW PHONE (BUT THIS MAY CHANGE NOW).
-proof of usage: This document must show the device’s IMEI number and the date it was last used. It is not the same as your monthly bill or an itemised bill. Only your network provider can issue valid proof of usage, so we kindly ask that you contact them directly to obtain this document. We understand that you used an eSIM while on holiday.
I SERIOUSLY DOUBT ANY ESIM PROVIDER WILL SHARE THIS, BUT TIME WILL TELL
-proof of blacklisting: Please contact your network provider and request that they blacklist the IMEI number of the device.
OK, SHE WILL HAVE TO SEND AN EMAIL ASKING THEM TO BLACK LIST THE IMEI.
I UNDERSTAND THAT THEY WANT TO MAKE SURE THEY ONLY PAY VALID CLAIMS, BUT THEY ARE MAKING IT REALLY HARD FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS JUST HAD A PHONE STOLEN TO MAKE A VALID CLAIM.
