I can’t praise Sean & Amber enough.
Not my first rodeo with solicitors in regard to property, and they have to be the most responsive and proactive solicitors I’ve dealt with.
Responses to emails within a couple of hours (if not faster), if they didn’t know the answers they would find out, and majority of the time, still get in touch the same day.
They were never afraid of answering the phone either when needed, unlike 99% of most legal firms!
When Sean was on Annual Leave, Amber would pick our case up in his absence, and there was genuinely never a lapse in service.
From agreed sale to completion in 6 weeks, other conveyancing firms should take a leaf out of their book.
Perfect example of how modern soliciting should work, the days of sitting on your hands and waiting for emails is over, proactivity is key.

Using this company for the purchase of my property was possibly one of the worst decisions of my life.
Moving home is considered one of the most stressful experiences in life and this apparent professional company simply compounds this further.
Following what I thought would be the easier option in instructing this company to manage the conveyancing as they had worked with the estate agent on many occasions I felt confident this would be hassle free.
After instructing no contact whatsoever aside from various requests for upfront payments for work not being carried out and despite several calls the only phone answered was the complaints line and when I expressed my concerns to de-instruct I was instantly called by my conveyancer and assured they would improve communication. I gave benefit of doubt, this was my first mistake.
This was a new build property so no chain, very straightforward purchase, mortgage in place what could go wrong. I had one request and that was to complete by end of February or absolute latest 27th March, not a tall ask as property was built and we were in November/December.
Time moved on no contact, constant requests for updates from myself and estate agent which were met with silence. I called complaints again and instantly had emails requesting documents signed immediately.
Property signed off by house builder, no contact from conveyancer, chased them again after a week. They hadn't bothered to note this had happened and so had not actioned any tasks.
This cycle continued endlessly of chasing and no response only interjected by calling complaints line to move things along. As the weeks passed deadline day of end of Feb came and went. As we approached mid a week to go I was informed that if I did not pay their bill upfront prior to completion they would not process the sale, essentially blackmailing me into paying for their shocking service and distress. I had no choice. I had to complete or be homeless.
Day of completion arrives, Friday 27th March. Updates requested no response, silence. Have the monies been requested from mortgage company as they should have been? NO, why not? no response. Back and forth continued 17:20 on the Friday it completed. Now there is cutting it close and then there is this.
Months and months of disgraceful behaviour and if it wasn't for myself and the estate agent pressuring further months would have been added.
I implore anyone who is considering this company to avoid at all costs. You are just a number to them and no care or consideration. Greed has got the better of them and thinking that as a solicitor they can treat people with absolute distain is not going to wash anymore.
I have raised this as a complaint and they have admitted fault with some pathetic gesture of compensation. No chance I would accept, Legal Ombudsman is on the case and I look forward to finally putting this distressful experience behind me.

Ethan Davis and Simratnoor Jagra
We had the pleasure of having Ethan as our solicitor, supported by Simratnoor, throughout the sale of our old home and purchase of our new one. They were excellent from start to finish. Both were highly knowledgeable, professional, and always prompt in responding to queries, reviewing documents, and keeping us updated.
We encountered a few issues along the way and needed advice on several occasions. Ethan always made time to speak with us, providing clear guidance and reassurance whenever we needed it. What stood out most was not only his expertise but also his understanding and genuine human approach, which made a real difference during the process.
We are very grateful for all their support and would definitely recommend Talbots Law based on our experience.

I used Talbots for 3 transactions; as I was looking to sell my flat, purchase the flat through a Limited Company, and then purchase a new house for myself!
I therefore had three solicitors; Jessica Hilditch (sale of flat, representing me), Shaye McKay (purchase of flat, representing the LC) and finally Cody Howes (purchase of new house, representing me).
Overall my experience was Talbots was great, team provided clear guidance and support with the transaction(s), and was flexibly in my timescales. They were also clear on the difficulties/challenges with the transactions that I was executing
The only negative that I experienced was at the start; where the two purchases were allocated out, however the sale of the flat took an additional ~3months before this was picked up. During this period, trying to get a clear understanding on what the blocker, turned out to be a challenge (however, I will mention that this was in December, so holidays did get in the way if I am honest).
However, once this was allocated, it was smooth sailing.
Would I make use of Talbots again in the future, or recommend them - Yes!

His communication skills were excellent with very speedy responses. We would have no hesitation in recommending them and indeed using their services again ourselves.

The initial uploading of information to their app was easy and the buyer’s questionnaire was simple to fill out.
“Helen” whom dealt with my conveyancing was clear, concise and approachable.
Regarding costs, they weren’t the cheapest and certainly weren’t the most expensive. I feel they offered a good service at the right price.

Me and my partner were young first time buyers. We struggled to find a solicitors using reviews as there are such negative reviews about hidden fees and lack of communication. Based on the horror stories we heard from other people about solicitors we must’ve got extremely lucky!
We had Nick Mcarthy as our solicitor for our purchase and he was absolutely brilliant. He had a lot of patience and took time to explain things to us. (We’re young and don’t have a clue!) On a few occasions I asked him to dumb things down for us and he did exactly that! We had some trouble in our chain (we were at the bottom) and we had a estate agent who didn’t have a clue and kept giving false information. On the other hand Nick was giving us honest updates and giving us an idea of what to expect.
As we understand it. Nick was the one who ironed out the whole chain and not just our purchase, he must’ve spoken to the rest of the chain and asked no one to make a move until everyone had agreed on a completion date. In the last two weeks of our purchase, we decided to completely ignore our estate agent and just talk to Nick. This took a lot of stress of our shoulders! Nick and the team absolutely smashed our purchase!
