Synthesis Tutor is an AI-powered math tutor for kids in grades K–5, designed to help children enjoy learning and build real confidence in math. It grew out of the experimental school at SpaceX, with the goal of bringing that kind of thoughtful, high-quality learning experience to more families. The tutor adapts in real time to each child’s level, whether they need extra support, are right on track, or are ready to move faster. Instead of relying on memorization, Synthesis Tutor helps kids truly understand what they are learning. With interactive lessons, visual explanations, and a patient tutor that responds to each child, kids build stronger thinking skills along with math skills. The platform covers core elementary math topics including addition, fractions, multiplication, division, and early algebraic thinking. The lessons are personalized, hands-on, and built to keep kids engaged. Synthesis Tutor is used by thousands of families and educators and is available on desktop and tablet. It includes a free trial, with subscription options for both families and schools. Mission: Advancing human progress through education, one child at a time.

Great growth medium for the kind of individuals we will need for the future
My 7-year old son has been in Synthesis for 6 months now and he loves it! He used to have lukewarm feelings about the program - would attend, no problems, but not really very excited about each weekly session. He has grown to love it since. A few months into it, he signed himself up for open sessions (which are sessions one attends on top of their regular weekly session). He is now more able to exercise agency in choosing which sessions to attend, interacts with peers a lot more, and now, it is the highlight of his day. I love how he has grown in his ability to take other people's points of view in a more constructive way. He's never had a problem voicing his thoughts, but he does it now with more intentionality. I also love how his teacher encourages and explores some of his unconventional thoughts. Synthesis has given him lots of opportunities to grow leadership skills and has taught him how to be a better collaborator. I cannot wait until my younger son is old enough to join!

Synthesis a must experience for every kid!
Hi there, we as parents are happy to have found synthesis for our child. He has grown leaps and bounds in his attitude towards life, knowledge, curiosity and has become a better person that wants to do good. Independent thinker that he is but I think at synthesis he is refining his thinking process. Best of all he gets to interact with kids and adults without judgement or prejudice. I think this was important for his mental health because we as adults need to provide kids safe environments and Windows so they can be themselves. Synthesis did this for our family.
I would love for synthesis to grow leaps and bounds beyond the horizon and like to ask to create more programs that help them create/ build something collaboratively. Thank you!

There is nothing like Synthesis
There is nothing like Synthesis! It has given our son so many new skills - collaboration, having a voice, being a better listener, being a leader, being a follower, having a high tolerance for trial and error, learning from failure, comfort working with incomplete and complex information, a results-driven mindset, virtual communication, respect for his teachers, the desire to be on time, and the list goes on!

Teaches whats missing at school
Synthesis is great to develop skills that are critical to survive in an ever changing world. Our son (age 10) has been enrolled for 9 months now and I can see how he has grown. He is now a much better team player and is able to drive discussions and decisions in groups of other peers. He is also able to handle failures for seamlessly and use them as learning experiences. He is also lot more ready to step out of his comfort zone.
He has also written his own (more detailed) review of synthesis in his website childrensworlds.us under the parents section.

Amazing supportive community
Amazing supportive community. My son loves to participate and learns a ton. We wouldn't mind if it would be more times a week with this cohort.

Engaging sessions
My son has completed the foundation program. He enjoys the open sessions which are quite engaging for him. He was very quite in his regular school but he is very active and communicates well in synthesis sessions. I am happy he is enjoying synthesis.

My son very much enjoys Synthesis and I love watching him develop better teamwork skills, problem solving skills, and leadership skills all while he’s enjoying it on the medium that he loves, computer play. I love what Synthesis is about and how and why it was founded. Glad to have found this program, the instructors are great and really provide excellent and individualized feedback to each student. All kids love to learn through gameplay and challenge play and will learn things much better when they are actually enjoying it like they do in Synthesis. Email questions are responded to extremely quickly. I signed up for this program for my gifted and neurodiverse son and STEM lover who is always seeking higher challenges, but I also would enroll my other kids when they get a bit older as I love the core life and success skills as well as flexible thinking skills they are learning in here. Definitely great for homeschoolers as well or supplementing traditional school (as the stuff done in Synthesis unfortunately isn’t focused on in regular schools, which likely is a large factor of why our society needs improvements in general.) Definitely worth signing up and staying for the progression. Think of it as an after school sport or extra curricular club to positively help your child in their future (that isn’t done on a field). I highly recommend Synthesis and hope Synthesis keeps growing! Glad there is an organization that is focused on building up the next generation with important and positive life skills and tools for success!

Three kids, three personalities, three tailored experiences.
I have three kids in Synthesis and they each love it for different reasons. Being three different people, they get different benefits from their cohorts and sessions, but are each clearly growing into collaborators with their own strengths. I’m impressed with how the facilitators and the simulations manage to make these skills accessible and attainable for everyone while also making it personal for each student. If the US school system could pull that off, we wouldn’t be homeschooling! In short, Synthesis has something to offer every student and what they come away with will surprise you in the best way!
