I have been a customer for over 10…

I have been a customer for over 10 years, organising a regular order with colleagues from work. SUMA offers a great range of goods, many organic and fair trade, good value, friendly customer service and reliable delivery.

The ethical sourcing of products.

The ethical sourcing of products with an excellent range of organic and gluten free items.
Staff are always helpful as are the delivery drivers who are friendly and hard working.

This is a real Co-operative

This is a real co-operative and for that reason I feel the need to support this company. There is a huge range of organic products, far bigger than the shops. Although you need to order good in bulk, you can often order a half amount. They give free delivery on orders over a certain amount. If they miss something off the order (which has only happened twice in 5 years, they refund you immediately no questions asked (or they minus it from the bill before you pay, which is more common). They give free delivery on big orders. They match supermarket prices and are occasionally cheaper and occasionally more expensive. I value this company a great deal

Suma are a fantastic company to do…

Suma are a fantastic company to do business with. They are efficient, on time, friendly and flexible. We have used them for over 15 years and will continue to do so for our newly renovated farm shop!

So gross!

The tinned mac'n cheese is actually inedible! I can't believe I bought 4 tins. There's hardly any pasta and the sauce is slimy and sour. Tried their meatballs too and it tastes rank! I thought it might be dog food by accident somehow!

We’re so sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy these products, and how disappointing this was for you. We take our customers feedback seriously, and we are actually working hard on a replacement for the Mac N Cheese after listening to feedback.

We'd like to make this right for you, please contact us directly and we’ll arrange a refund or replacement, and look into the batches you received. Please can you email brandideas@suma.coop for my attention.

Thank you for taking the time to share honest feedback. It genuinely helps us improve and make things right.

Do not buy... its grim

The food is seriously not nice. I bought the saag aloo and then the meatballs in bolognaise sauce. Both tasted extremely cheap and sickly. The meatballs are in this inedible tomato cream soup... the Saag aloo was also gross.

Edit: Actually gutted that the food is so poor as the company seems to be uniquely ethical compared to other companies...

The one star is for lack of care…

The 1 star is for lack of care following a quality issue with the clear and simple scent free shampoo. I have been using this product for 20 years. So when I could smell perfume scent in the product, I thought that SUMA would take it seriously. I was wrong. They ignored 3 weeks of emails and when I finally spoke to someone in quality control, I was told that they had other priorities which is why they hadn't responded. KB promised a refund and referenced the call and email - T/DEC/0611 - but a week later - absolutely nothing! I no longer trust this product. I no longer trust your company. Your lack of response shows that you don't care about your customers. therefore you have lost my custom and received a 1 star review.

Suma - Highly rated by Ethical Consumer

Suma Wholefoods offer a wide range of products (food essentials, drinks, household and cleaning, hair and body etc.). I have been using them for years and thanks to their high Ethical Consumer ratings, I trust them. They clearly have an exceptional commitment to ethical business practices, which is worker-owned, ethically minded, responsibly sourced with sustainable ingredients. And their prices are great too!
