I would get Exeter customer service to call Brothers in Arms regarding AI rifle refund as this has been going on going on months now and does not look good if this is the way you treat customers supplied a faulty rifle.

Ordered a simple moderator from them. In stock at Exeter and needed 5days for stock transfer to Newport. 5-6 days passed and nothing.I rang Newport and they said it'll be 5-6days to stock transfer. Here I am, 16days after the purchase and nothing. Can't even reply to a message yet constantly emailing promotions and asking you to vote them retailer of the year. I had my rifle from another company delivered in 3days. Appalling. UPDATE, error on Sportsmans side and have now sorted it. Little communication between the dates could sway reviews

I went to buy a gun on there site then seen exact same gun over a £100 cheaper. Please tell me how and why ? Surely all makes etc should be same price guys

Great service. The ATA failed on Monday so we dropped it in on the way home and was offered the issue to be fixed in an hour or service and fix FOC if I collect the next day which I did. James was fantastic and a credit to the company.

I have just bought my 3rd Shotgun (one ATA and Two Brownings) from Sportman Gun Centre in Exeter and I can’t praise these guys enough.
I’ve had issues that have been sorted without question or fuss, even when they have been down to my lack of experience.
Every member of staff I have dealt with have been knowledgeable, down to earth and simply decent people that will stand and chat to understand what you need as much as what you want.
Tom, the manager is a star and leads by example with his keenness to share his knowledge and advice.
Well done Sportsman and I will continue to drive past my local gun shop near Plymouth and head up to you guys 👌

on 2 occasions I have asked them to source a shotgun and they promise they will come back within 24 hours - they have never come back - very unprofessional

I have now gone to another supplier. I would avoid these people - also their product knowledge is awful

I purchased a MTC scope fromthis company in 2018 with a lifetime warranty and due to a malfunction had to return for repair. I sent the item back and was kept up to date in relation to the repair which I know caused Sportsman dificulties from the manufacturers of the Scope. This company could not have been more helpful, professional and courteous and I recieved my scope back repaired and under warranty. I am based in Northern Ireland and have great difficulties in dealing with companies on the mainland, but not this company I would recommend them to anyone. An excellent job well done.

* I have used Sportsman gun centre for a few years now and from the very first time I was there in Exeter the service I received was exceptional, always a warm welcome and never any pressure to buy. The staff are knowledgable and experienced with all you need to know regarding the products they sell. Over the past two months with upgrading a rimfire rifle, Tom has been outstanding and extremely helpful.

I sent a rifle into sportsman after receiving it back from another gunsmiths who had been appointed to carry out an inspection and repair unfortunately they did a substandard job so I reached out to sportsman for assistance.

They couldn’t have been any more helpful. I sent the gun off. A thorough inspection and test was carried out and I was given a detailed explanation as to what was wrong with the rifle.

It was then returned to me in perfect working condition again they went beyond what they needed to and I can honestly say I would strongly recommend them.

My Fx Panthera was sent to Sportsman for repair after I'd bought it second hand from a guy who didn't mention it had a leak.
After 5 days without the gun my back yard rat problem was rampant and we were desperate. I contacted them by email and they replied within a few moments.
I asked them about the leak, which was fine, and assured me it would be back with me that week, but this was a Tuesday and "This week" could have meant Friday, 4 more days away, and now that the farmer is in his fields with his machines the rats are retreating to my garden.. This wouldn't do, I explained how important it was that I received my rifle the next day if possible and offered them upto 100 pounds to send it expressly that day.. They understood immediately, and not only did the they go straight down and make sure my rifle was posted that same day, but they refused to accept a penny in compensation for themselves or the firm! It was simply all in a days work for them.. The rep I spoke to Harry Ward deserves a raise in wages and I cant thank him and the company enough for a rare(these days) pleasant customer experience.. I cant recommend them enough.

Exceptional service
I ordered a die on Sunday afternoon and used the wrong reference numbers, on ringing Monday morning explaining my mistake the knowledgeable and friendly staff dispatched the correct item which arrive in the Wednesday post.

Excellent service, could not source the Hatsan trigger assembly that I needed but spoke via email to HARRY WARD and problem solved. Harry did a fantastic job in sourcing the part I wanted in a very professional manner, would highly recommend this company thanks

I purchased a new Browning shotgun online last week. The pre order delivery date was 1-8 Aug. On calling the store to confirm collection, I was informed they needed to check and call me back. After being ignored I made a further two calls and eventually discovered the gun wouldn’t arrive until February!! Worse still it would take a week to refund my £4300!!! The website still says the deliver is arriving today! Completely misleading and absolutely awful customer service!

Having dealt with two different members of staff while choosing and purchasing a gun, I can’t say a bad word about them. Both Keith and Dan were excellent. I’d highly recommend a visit.

I've dealt with James and Tom at Exeter for many years, they both have huge amounts of experience and always give top quality advice and service. Can't rate them or the Sportsman highly enough. All retailers should be like this. Excellent

I visited the shop this morning to collect a rifle, scope, and moderator—all expertly recommended by James. The combination looks absolutely fantastic, and I couldn’t be happier! Tom was incredibly helpful, attentive, and made me feel genuinely welcome—his customer service is second to none.

This isn’t the first time I’ve driven 350 miles to visit the shop, and I can confidently say it won’t be the last! I visited the Sportsman Gun Centre, to look at a couple of guns to try and decide which would be most suitable for my son, for clay pigeon shooting. As novices in the world of shooting it was fantastic to be assisted by Tom. His knowledge of the guns, way of explaining in language that I understood, and advice was fantastic. His enthusiasm to really try and match my son to the most appropriate gun for his level and experience of shooting was brilliant. He listened to our requirements, and we had a very positive experience buying a gun. I felt well advised, confident in our purchase and saved considerable amount of money by being recommend a gun that has a great spec but is a less well-known brand. I would thoroughly recommend the Sportsman Gun Centre and really appreciated the time and care that Tom took to find the correct gun for my son. The shop also has a great selection of clothing so a new gun deserves a co-ordinating skeet vest. Thank you Tom.

I brought my son in on Saturday to choose his next gun. A fantastic selection of guns to look at. Tom provided us with superb service, nothing was to much trouble. No pushy sales, he wanted to make sure what he was selling us was absolutely right. We have gone away delighted with the purchase.
