SCAM

I used their service under the promise that 1 eur would give me access to a report. I created an account and paid. Later, I got a bill for 35 dollars as they put me in a subscription based plan that I dont not request. This was done without my knowledge or approval. SCAM.

I never gave this site permission to…

I never gave this site permission to bill me. I never used their service, yet they billed me through Paypal. I called their service line and they indicated that a cancellation email was sent to me , which is not true.

Stay away from these people.

The info included with the paid 'trial' was nothing I didn't already know and easily findable with Google etc. If you want more details rather than generalities, you pay for these details - ONE AT A TIME. Each piece of info costs more - a LOT more via subscription. And to cancel? Hey, good luck with winning the lottery

Cancel ASAP if you just wanted one report

I really wish this service was true to their word that I could cancel my trial without further charges. Unfortunately they don't respond to emails in a timely fashion so I got charged. Then after several minutes waiting for a human she promised less than half back! I had one query that I paid the .95 cents for. The one phone number was disconnected and I've had no success with the report. Sadly it seems this service should be considered as a last resort

Beware

Beware! Spokeo puts all customer service investment in the back end- 3 "agents" were very polite to me and had great skills. No investment in the front end of service, such as notification that you have an account and it was being renewed. I'm sure that is deliberate. I did not know I had an account, and was billed $29.95 monthly for well over one year without any confirmation that I began an account or about being renewed -no email, text or phone call. My spouse reviews our card statement and assumed it was a streaming service. I reviewed the account today and saw the billings. I called, and spoke with their agents, including an Escalation Specialist. I requested more of a refund than they offered (a mere 2 months). After saying I expected more, Nicholas, said he was hanging up on me and did so. What a scam!

Do not fear SPOKEO is here! Looking for those skeletons you can find them just ask Spokeo!

You can search for someone someplace something! First name last name, phone number, email, physical address, and even employer! Whatever you’re seeking,you will find it! Spokeo is spot on accurate.Website is easy to navigate.if you are having an issue using the site customer service is always there. And the best thing you don’t have to search and search to find an actual phone number to a live person! If you do need to call or perhaps chat with the customer service, they are very knowledgeable, polite, and knowledgeable about Spokeo.Thry ensuring that you as a customer or assisted in a timely manner they’re very conscientious about their job and ensuring that the right information is given will not be hanging frustrated or even angry like other sides. If you can even find the phone numbers.

Watch out and check your statements!

Watch out and check your statements! I discovered they had taken £18.14 from my Amex card without my knowledge!
I did not recognoise who they were! I had not been looking for their service.
Amex restored my money but I am seriously worried about how they had my card details.
I was unable to contact somebody to talk to from Spokeo. All I could do was email them.
Keep an eye on your statements especially credit cards.

Who do you contact in a life-or-death situation?

Spokeo never even uncovered the name of the culprit who I was looking for. Yet I had no trouble Googling her name and getting her FB, IG, snapchat, Thread and X pages. From her FB account, I was able to discover that she had a previous arrest record of significance. And I was even able to uncover the Time Share where she vacations and as minute as what she wore last Valentine's Day. The point being, it's a good thing Spokeo wasn't to be the resource that I was depending on to save this 71 y/o man from a possible life-or-death situation!!
