Misleading product description and poor customer service

Title: Misleading product description and poor customer service

I had a very disappointing experience with this company.

I purchased dust bags advertised as “38L DeWalt compatible”. However, the bags supplied are significantly smaller than what would reasonably be expected for a 38L vacuum. While the seller argues that they technically “fit”, the capacity is clearly not comparable and the listing is therefore misleading.

When I contacted customer service, they refused to acknowledge the issue and insisted the item was correct. They also refused to cover return postage, despite the fact that under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods should match their description.

Rather than trying to resolve the situation fairly, they simply repeated the same response and told me to return the item at my own cost.

This has been a frustrating experience and not what I would expect from a responsible retailer. I would strongly advise other buyers to carefully check the specifications before purchasing.

Zero after sales

Bought a spare for my Dyson through Amazon.
It failed after 6 weeks and I tried without success to contact them.
Their phone tells you it does not take messages.
They do not reply to emails.
At a loss to know what to do

Extremely disappointed with this purchase. The product advertised was LED lights for a Russell Hobbs 70mm cooker hood, clearly shown with specific wiring (red and black cables) and without large metal clips. What we received, however, were generic non-LED spotlights in plain plastic bags with no labels.

The item sent is completely different from what is shown in the listing and does not fit our cooker hood at all. Despite this, the seller continues to insist that the product matches the advertisement, which it clearly does not.

This has wasted our time and effort trying to resolve the issue. Paying £40 for the wrong item and then having to chase for a solution is unacceptable.

Be very careful when ordering from this seller — the product received may not match what is advertised.

Well bad purchased a dyson head in end of January now not working contacted spares to go and they are saying6 .months warranty well hello is July still on the 6 months only 6 months after that they pack up working that's basically what they are saying so stuck with a knackered head should of bought new hoover would of been easier well spares to go i won't be using your business again and ebayers beware 6 months and you have had it don't waste your money on after market trash.

GPS saves the day.

I have now used a few times and always received excellent service. On this visit ordered through Amazon a 5mtr Henry extension hose. After a couple of days Royal Mail text parcel delivered and a photo of parcel in a bin. Only problem not my bin. Contacted Spares To Go Friday evening. Early Sat morning email from Jenni at STG. Royal Mail, GPS shows delivery to same number house around the corner. Spoke to homeowner and we found parcel in his bin. All sorted . Thank you to Jenni(and GPS). Excellent service from Jenni ,Perfect Item and i will shop with SPG again.

Prompt and Professional Service

It’s often hard to judge a company’s customer service until there’s a problem to resolve. I had an issue with a missing item from my delivery and contacted them by email. I received a prompt and polite response, with an apology and the item was shipped out straight away. I’m very happy with the service, customer care, and the quality of the products — highly recommended!

Great deterrent…

I recently ordered a steering wheel lock from this company, it arrived within a few days and was on my campervan straight away, it was really easy to fit and store and has given me some peace of mind when I'm not in there. It seems a really sturdy product and hopefully will act as a deterrent for any would be thieves. I'm really happy with my purchase. Thank you

Recoil starter for Cobra M40C. Product purchased arrived in good time and fits and functions as it should. The only slight concern is the pull cable is chafing.

Only giving 1Star because 0 not an option.I ordered a part for a kettle a month ago now and still waiting.Think I’m beginning to realise all the other reviews of 1 star are for a good reason. Asked for a tracking number and got 2 different ones and neither of them were correct.Didn’t even say who’s delivering it.They said it was out of stock at first.Pretty sure I’m on wild goose chase now and I will never receive my order and they have no interest in resolving it.

Do not buy from here - Poor Products

Do not buy from here. Reported faulty product only to be fobbed off. Poor quality compared to products from reputable suppliers. Dyson replacement parts do not last. Wrote to advise Dyson hoover part had eventually stopped working, to then be told buy another as warranty is for 6 months only.
Will never buy from here again.

I wrote to Spares2go about a bolt they…

I wrote to Spares2go about a bolt they had for a lawnmower so I asked them if it would fit a lawnmower blade (which I bought separately from Amazon) to fit the blade to my Einhell GE CM/33 lawnmower. It took them 5 days to reply and they replied with a copy of my bill. I told them they hadn't answered my question at all and feel totally disregarded by them. They eventually wrote back saying they don't have time to answer customer queries. So If your reading this you'd better look elsewhere as they don't give a monkeys about customers or customer relations. The star I've given is just to get this review published, and I've reported them to Amazon as a bogus company.

Don't bother

I used this company as it had an umbrella company "Dualit2go" which I assumed would be the best supplier for repairing a Dualit device. They charged me 10X the price of a cheap generic switch. I find this practice outrageous and very misleading, hence I wouldn't bother with them again. The one star is for the quality of the packaging.

Unable to get any reply from this company. Ordered and paid for a part on 18/08/24. Sent follow up email on 05/09/24 and still nothing. I am not confident that I will receive the part.
UPDATE: Received the part 14/09 after raising a dispute with the bank. Shame it took this to get any reply from them. Would be helpful if they kept you updated.

Here we are on the 4/09/24 and despite several emails to find out where the order had gone to, I yet to receive a reply
