Broken parts
Processing and shipping the order took 2 days and the delivery time to the Netherlands was also 2 days. I received a broken speaker and got a new one without any problem.

A Very Happy Customer
The website is easy to navigate, contains a good selection of products with decent descriptions at competitive prices.
I had trouble with one of the items i bought being discontinued; thankfully though, Stefan from customer service sorted everything out for me and even gave me the more expensive re-skinned version of the Pioneer ERGO controller for the same price as the older discontinued item.
All items arrived on time and in fully working order. 10/10 Will use again!
out of stock, wrong information, not helping, not listening to requests
Only thing I have to say is to check they've got in stock what you are about to order as chances are the website is not updated.
Also, I have been given wrong information about repairs, having been told the repair centre would look at my item then call me or mail me to let me know its status and whether to go on with the repairs, all of which was all meant to happen within the week which ultimately became 9 days, day when I finally received a mail saying the item was back in the shop and no other information whatsoever; in addition the repair centre ignored my mails.
I do understand these problems may not be direct responsibility of the people working there and normally I wouldn't mind especially as I know the in shop service is really good, however I will have to give a low rating, as I work in the larger audio industry as well and my living depends on it I find it really frustrating to see other professionals behave so inconsistently.
ps: also after placing my order for an item that was out of stock, once the payment went through it stated my item would have been delivered within 2 days.
pps: if you order online chances are they'll ship it via "parcelforce 24", which has about 84% negative ratings on this website. so if you are ordering something you really need and need it quick I would suggest to just go to the shop in person if you can.
ppps: So between things they kept waiting for 2 weeks now between never done repairs and never coming in speakers now.
I also repeatedly told them on the phone to call me and not to send any items to my address, something that I'll have to do again for the 4th/ 3rd time now.
Ultimately the the item I ordered still shows as in stock, none bothered to updated it. mind that one of the people working there even told me the reason why it was out of stock, so I mean, it was right in front of his face, still not updated.

not recommanding this store at all. appealing with all the good reviews, but you might also just end up wasting your time, waiting for something that will never come.

Refreshingly good service

These guys are the business!!!!!!!
Bit of background first - I got my Dad's Garrard SB86 record deck up and running and started -recollecting the vinyl I used to have. But then it developed a horrible earth hum which I initially sorted but taping the lead to the stand but even that gave way in the end and I lost one channel.
A search of the internet found Soundbase in Trafford Park, just down the road from me.
An exchange of emails with a very helpful Martin Langram established that they could replace the phono lead.
I picked it up yesterday - 25th Sep 2014 and by 6-00pm had Pink Floyds "Shine On You Crazy Diamond' blasting from both channels. need I say more?
Well yes actually. Mr Langram was very efficient, helpful and patient with my enquiries about dropping off the unit and collecting it; the guys at the repair centre were friendly and helpful and happy to chat; indeed Ben - who dealt with me when I collected the unit - said he would have a look at my Phillips reel to reel tape recorder to see if the play function could be sorted.
I would recommend this company to anyone - 5 stars definitely.
Very disappointed
Unfortunately my buying experience with Soundbase has not measured up to most reviews here. I did a lot of research and decided to order a backpack for my son for his electronic kit.
I placed my order online on the Friday and on the Monday got an email saying that the item I ordered had been discontinued by the supplier. Soundbase said they could supply a similar alternative made by the same supplier at the same price - ok I said. I didn't want my son to be disappointed.
The next day I get another email saying that the alternative couldn't be supplied either along with a notice of a refund...
The bottom line is that Soundbase list items on their website that they do not have in stock and don't know that they can supply, but still take payment from their customers for. I really don't think that this is acceptable online business practice in this day and age.
My time has been wasted and my Son's disappointment only adds to my own.
Not pleased at all.
Pioneer CDJs/ mixer repairs and service
I used Soundbase for repairs and service for CDJs and a mixer. Fantastic service, I dealt with Martin who was very efficient and accommodating to our specific needs. I would happily use Soundbase again.
Clarification needed!
I bought some Shure cartridges on the recommendation of the member of staff (they didn't have the Stanton ones I wanted) which I explicitly asked if I could just "attach them straight to the deck arm" as I wanted something quick & easy. When I got them home you have to assemble them that (for me) is akin to keyhole surgery trying to attaché wires & attaching the cartridge to the arm. After hours of frustration & frantically trying to find dropped fiddly components I took them back only to be told once they are opened they can't be exchanged! Had I known assembly was required I would've swerved & looked elsewhere, but as you can't tell through the packaging I was doomed before I had a chance to swap or get my money back! Not good & not happy and I've since lost one of the wires whilst attempting again so I've got £100 odd of useless cartridges now not to mention the daunting task of getting my originals back in place. I'm not good with fiddly stuff - can you tell?!!

I 'm a salsa teacher not a DJ!, though I do host two salsa socials a month, The speakers at the venue were way past their best and my nurmark's were not really powerful enough,So I had to buy some new speakers
my problem was were to start looking for new speakers, what size, brand, type !?
I guy I know who is a salsa DJ recommended sound base megastore , even though he lives in Harrogate and I live in Leeds, he also mentioned their B stock
I had a look on line and phoned a few times , the guys were always helpful and knowledgeable, I felt valued as a customer, even though I realize I was not spending a great deal
I decided to go to the store, they got the speakers out and let me have a listen ,also sorted out which cables I need
they boxed it all up while I went to get my car, I also bought a numark cd player again B stock
I'm very happy with my purchases and of course I'll recommend them and that's also where I would go the next time I need any more Dj equipment

Perfect, fast and faultless service
I took in 2 CDJ2000's to be repaired and serviced. As we are a nightclub only open on Friday & Saturday Nights getting the equipment back fast was vitally important.
Perfect repair and now the CDJ jog wheel and buttons are great.
It was a fast repair put in on a Monday and back with us by Wednesday evening.
