Total confusion and incompetence at…

Total confusion and incompetence at Group 1 online. They contacted me by email to say that my first service was due. This seemed to be a couple of months early, so I started a 'chat' with them online to clarify. The person at the other end obviously did not know the first thing about servicing or my car. They had to ask me my registration number, despite having quoted it to me on the email. Also, where did I live and who was my nearest dealer?! Even more annoyingly, in the course of about 20 minutes of online chat, I was cut off 3 times and then reconnected to 3 different operators none of whom knew about the previous discussion. I asked for a transcript and the one sent from Gubagoo (?) had massive gaps in it. Hopeless use of technology and so frustrating.

bmw in for major service and nav update…

bmw in for major service and nav update on while u wait appointment.. from booking in to collection first class thanks to Ammie- liegh Piper..updates at every operation and ready on time...Very professional and much improved on previous service.. very impressed this time

My car went in for a recall

My car went in for a recall, a few days later is making a noise, on taking the car to another garage I turns out the part wasn't bolted up properly, I have contacted BMW and Sopers directly but it appears it's of little concern as I've haven't had a reply in over a week. Beware !

Worse BMW F31 purchase ever, bought this car and nothing but problem, it was just 2 year old when I bought with 28k on the clock. last BMW I every buy.

Awful customer experience-Soper LIncoln MINI

Mini were advertising '24 hour test drive' on new E minis. Arrived at the showroom to be told '1 hour test drive, 2 at a push due to availability'... great start but went with it. Took the car out anyway and left my BMW to be valued for Part Ex in the meantime.
Car was ok to drive, nothing special.
Came back and the salesman offered me a derisory amount part ex (could get more through webuyanycar). Nevertheless, decided to discuss build and chat about finance, I explained I was pushed for time. Salesman went away and disappeared. Went searching for him and he was talking to another customer! We waited a while and he was still talking. I eventually interrupted them and told him I had to go.
He later rang up to add £500! to the offer for my car with no appology for the previous rudeness.
All in all an awful experience for a loyal BMW/Mini customer. Would never recommend Soper Lincoln Mini to anyone.
Subsequently got a great deal through Arnold Clark, who treat their customers with respect.

Horrible used car experience

Extended Warranty Insurance Issues:
There have been ongoing issues with Soper BMW who appear to lack the knowledge and empathy towards customers. I have had warranty insurance since 2021 and the first time I have to use it, it has been nothing but trouble. 3 weeks on and over £3900(!!) in diagnostic fees, it has become tiresome and sorrowful with zero customer satisfaction. Our car has been religiously and particularly looked after with over-serviced oil changes (as who would ever let their car do more than 20,000mile between intervals) at a local independent BMW garage. I expected a premium service and customer engagement from these subsidiary companies Soper BMW, BMW Warranty Services and BMW UK who dont speak to each other. Caveat after caveat is what has been presented to me since having the car recovered. It has been a horrible and still is an awful ongoing experience. If it werent for the fact we have to use a BMW retail outfit to utilise the BMW warranty insurance, we would not have used Soper of Lincoln. There has also been no communication from BMW UK/Customer Services at this moment in time also

Bodyshop Repair

My Mercedes SL had a 1/4 panel repair and a 1/4 window replaced at there bodyshop ( Halo Cosmetics), numerous return visits to try and sort issues.
Had to pay another bodyshop to rectify "orange peel" paint finish and alignment problems with door and new window.
They should be ashamed at the quality of the work they did on my car, do not let your pride and joy any where near there bodyshop.

Very disappointed

Have been a customer over many years. Car went info for a service and new rear brakes.
When I collected the car it hadn't been washed
Never received a video health check which is listed in the invoice.
Got 2 miles from the dealership after collecting the car and the low level ad blue warning came on.
The following day the window washer refill warning came on.
Also had issues with remote software upgrade that failed. This happened last year and they resolved it and charged me £55.00 but this year (same problem) they charged me £155.00
I have emailed my concerns and not even had a response let a phone call

Misleading sales advice

I paid the full asking price for a BMW X3, no discounts given at all. Salesman said, however, that car will be FULLY serviced before being handed over. 4 months and 4.5k miles later I get a warning light to tell me that a full oil change is required and according to the service history it was last done in Oct 2022! I went back to the dealership to inform them and they said that is nothing to do with them- and they wouldn't take responsibility for their salesman's miss selling either!. Be careful, if you go to these guys to pay over the odds for a vehicle expecting first class standards- as they politely talk to you but give you nothing, they don't care much after they've got your money!

Absolutely appalling service

Absolutely appalling service, they did everything they could to avoid fulfilling their recall obligations resorting to lies and stalling tactics. You deal with this outfit at your peril. If Soper's have any interest in learning how to deliver outstanding service they need go to Sytner Nottingham and spend some time with them.

Bought a bmw x5 from Soper Lincoln

Bought a bmw x5 from Soper Lincoln,
Handover brilliant from sales rep.
The original sales person I bought car from was off.
Picked car up Saturday, received call from Soper if everything ok.
Well no the brakes are squeezing, after months commuting with them they took car back and investigated the issue guess what they said no squeezing.
Took car back the same day and drove it around guess what squeezing.
Refused to fix it, even sent them evidence of the squeezing.
No communication after that,
Poor poor service

AVOID

When you're in the process of booking your car in, they're fantastic - obviously as they want your custom! Even brilliant at getting through to the person you're dealing with directly when you need to approve the work and the cost... However, when it came down to being contacted by them they never phone you within the time frame they give and when you try to phone them for an update or see if your car's ready, they're 'busy' and 'unavailable'. It's like they want your custom then when they have it, aren't interested. Customer service is terrible and I'd avoid if you can go elsewhere. The price they offer isn't the price you pay at the end of it as they always manage to find something else wrong with your car.

Do not use!!!

First time I have had a service! There was a recall and now they have had my car the entire week but tell me they can’t order the part! Not only that but they won’t give me a replacement car! Today I didn’t chase them, I have been doing so all week it is costing me a fortune to hire a car and who pays for thst? Certainly not BMW! because the lady promised me a car! NO CAR! AVOID THIS DEALER! absolutely the most disgusting service I have ever experienced! I want my car back! I won’t be using this garage again! The fact I am without a car and they cannot even be bothered to let me know why I still do not have a replacement just annoys me to the point I am writing this!

Brake Fluid service. On arrival 2;30 pm booked car in on screen, placed key in locker box as instructed informed receptionist I was waiting. Waited over 2.5 hours car never moved. Asked receptionist what was happening, the service department didn't know the key was there! They rushed car in and carried out service in 40 minutes, then tried to overcharged by £35. Offered a bottle of screen wash as compensation did not accept. Left at 5;45 pm. Terrible service.

Very happy customer

I bought an approved used 5 series via salesman Stefan. After a couple of weeks I realised it wasn’t right for me. Stef was brilliant, and quickly sorted out an exchange for a 6 series which I love. I’m fussy about my cars, I want everything to be mint, and I have had a few problems. These have all been dealt with very professionally by Sopers in partnership with my local BMW dealership, all my expenses have been reimbursed without any quibbles, and my car is now 100% perfect (touch wood). I’ve never bought from a main dealer before, and I’ve never spent this much on a car before, but I would definitely buy from Sopers again, and I would happily recommend anyone looking for a BMW salesman who always calls you back quickly and gets things done without any messing about to ask for Stefan.

What an incredible car dealership

What an incredible car dealership. I have never received such good customer service. From the first phone call I made to the handover of my new car, customer service was exemplary. Phil and David were knowledgeable, professional and lovely to deal with.
Having had a horrible experience with Sytner, going to Soper made me realise that buying a new car should be exciting and enjoyable. Soper certainly made this the case. I won’t buy from anyone else in the future!

Frauds

Daniel rang to say my turbo had broken on my car. He came back with a quote to fix the car and because the quote was so expensive I had to think about whether to go ahead with the repairs. After a few phone calls speaking with each other I decided to ring back in the next morning to confirm to go ahead with the repair. The next morning I decided not to go ahead. Daniel later rang me back to pay for the inspection fees £99 so I paid this which I was ok with. He later called me back as my car was getting loaded on a trailer to another another garage saying he had ordered the new turbo and fittings kit and he wouldn’t let my car leave until I had paid for these parts. I was held to ransom!!! After I spoke with his manager he decided to let my car go. Not happy never experienced anything like It
