Exceptional Service from Sol og Strand Klitmøller

I recently stayed at a summer house booked through Sol og Strand Klitmøller, and while the house itself presented some challenges, I absolutely have to commend the outstanding service I received from the agency.

Honestly, Sol og Strand Klitmøller is the best holiday home agency I have ever used, not just in Denmark, but worldwide! A special shout-out goes to Isabelle and Alberte from their Klitmøller office. Every single time I called them with questions or issues, they were incredibly helpful. Their patience, friendliness, and willingness to assist were truly soothing and greatly appreciated. They are genuinely amazing and deserve huge applause for their fantastic support.

Even when I called their emergency service about issues like a fly infestation and an inaccessible meter, they were responsive. While a follow-up call would have been nice to confirm resolution, their initial guidance and efforts to inform the owner were helpful.

Despite the house-specific problems, the agency's commitment to service truly stood out and made a difficult situation much more manageable. I highly recommend Sol og Strand Klitmøller for their exceptional customer care!

We were delighted with the experience, the summer house was equipped beyond expectation, the location was beautiful and quiet and the process for renting through Sol and Strands was informative and easy all the way through.

It was one of the worst stay I had at Krjbergsvej 32B, 9370 neck. Specifically, there were two issues:

1. There were no cribs (I ordered one for my child) when I arrived, so I had to contact the emergency department since the office was closed. It was not convenient, and I expected to receive it without notice.

2- The house water was only warm for the first half-day of our stay, and we couldn't even take a shower the entire time. A summer house without hot water is not acceptable when you want to relax for a few days. We could rent a house without a Jacuzzi and sauna for a much cheaper price. They also charged us for the water and El consumption!

Overall great experience. We've rented 2 different houses this year for both a week.
Accommodations were wonderful.
There was some issues with cleaning at the second house, but after contact that was resolved well.

Good contact and rapid answers during the process of renting a summer house. The house was very nice and clean. The process of getting and giving back the keys was simple and everything went smoothly.

I am afraid I cannot recommend Sol og strand. We came with a toddler, asked for a baby bed and a high chair. A day before our arrival, we called to confirm. We were told both were there.
Alas, when we arrived, there was no high chair and the baby bed was broken. The baby is 14 months and starting to walk: a functioning baby bed is immensely important. We called but could not get hold of anyone. One day later, we finally reached a woman in the emergency service but she told us that these issues (unlike missing linen) were not an emergency. We beseeched her for help, but to no avail.
On the third day, Monday, we were able to get hold of someone in Falster who promised a new bed and a high chair to come by 6pm. We stayed in all afternoon but they came only by 7pm.
Due to this negligence, we could not sleep for two nights.
When we left, we asked for the cleaning fee (which is very high - €123) to be waived, but the very unpleasant manager mansplained us and only gave us a €19 reduction.
Since we chose Sol og strand because they cater to families of small children, we are very disappointed and decided to share our experience. There are dozens of other holiday companies in Denmark, and we urge you to take your holiday elsewhere.

Always great service and last minute offers

Super cosy summerhouse close to amazing nature. We had rabbits visiting us every day and could see peasants and deers. The house has a unique charms and definitely provides everything that is needed to recharge batteries

This company forces us to drive an extra 1-1.5 hours just to pick up & drop off keys; and refuses to provide alternatives.

Really disappointed to hear a company in 2022 not caring about their customers' time & money, and the impact of fully unnecessary driving on the climate. It's 2022, there are loads of possibilities to avoid this!

This company does not accept cancellations or changes in reservation because of Covid. We booked and we have to stay 10 days in quarantine if we travel to Denmark. Though this is not a reason to cancel or change our booking. They just keep the money. Dishonest company. Stay away from them in Covid times. Nothing to win.

During this year I rented a place for 10 days. It cost less than 3K DKK. I accepted to clean myself and so I did, me and my girlfriend spend the night before and the morning of the leaving making sure everything was all right. We did leave some sealed food and drinks behind and forgot to clean the oven. 2 weeks later I get a bill for 1160 DKK for cleaning. Claiming we left the place very dirty. They have pictures of how dirty it was, I will let them publish it here, if they want. I obviously complained and was met with a response from an employee that I will get a e-mail from the boss. Another 2 weeks without answer and I was forced to pay the bill. Nevertheless I am never coming back, worst experience ever, pay at least 33% of the value of the rental for cleaning when you cleaned yourself and there is nobody to reason there. No humans just people that need to grab your money at any oportunity.

Very nice, beyond expectations. The cottage was better looking then the pictures, with everything you needed. It was clean, all you need to start a meal and plus the sweets that welcomed us there were a very nice touch.
The area it is beautiful, but because of Corona, we couldn't use the swimming pool and playroom, but still they have a very nice playground for the kids. I totally recommend it!
