Nonexisitant Customer Service
My 2017 SolarEdge inverter is still not registering with PG&E, and I’ve been unable to get any meaningful support. Every attempt to contact SolarEdge—whether by phone or chat—results in being passed around without any resolution.
I located a qualified installer who is willing to help diagnose the issue, but SolarEdge will not approve him. Instead, my case has been stalled for two weeks with a vague status of “Customer Feedback Required.” When I try to find out what that actually means, I cannot get a clear answer or reach a knowledgeable representative.
To make matters more frustrating, this isn’t the first time I’ve had issues. In 2020, the inverter went offline for three months and stopped registering with PG&E, then suddenly came back online without explanation.
At this point, the lack of support and accountability feels negligent. If this continues unresolved, I am seriously considering pursuing legal action.

No generation again as of 10th April 2026.
Down for over 1 month.
At least 3 faulty optimisers.
We're on our 3rd SE inverter in 8 years as 2 failed.
Support portal down with 404 page not found.
SE setting support cases to resolved (4 in last month) without seriously addressing the problem.
UK support line says you can talk to a human agent then dumps the call with "see website" - where those pages give 404 = not found.
Recent case # 6642066
The TrustPilot review did trigger SE support to answer the ticket within 48 hours.
However, SE now (23rd April 2026), out-of-the-blue, claim "the site layout has not been created by the original installer", and have told us effectively to: go away.
Therefore, I stand by my review title: "Avoid this supplier"

The care and support given by Kusuma was excellent. Having had an issue with the hot water controller on my system, and not being particularly competent with tech, I contacted SolarEdge on the portal, and was given basic checks to run. These did not work so I initiated a chat. I explained again the issues I was facing, and to my surprise, received a call from Kusuma who again gave me some instructions to try was I was back at home. Still struggling, I contacted SolarEdge through the portal. Kusuma promptly called me again to talk me through the process of reinstalling the controller. This only took a few minutes to successfully fix. I cannot recommend Kusuma highly enough. 10 out of 10!!

Tired of waiting
techs that work in tech support have know knowledge of how the systems actually work . we get the run around 85% of time on to escalate to some else. the wait times are horrible . i have been waiting on a RMA approval for 2 weeks with very little updates my customer is so pissed off . i get emails back with wrong answers. this is just to much trouble i rather buy a different brand going forward and i suggest everyone look else were . signed tired
