Do not order anything from them.
I payed my pizza steel more than 70 pounds 5 months ago, still didn’t recieved and never will. Wrote several email, bot like answers.
Scam company. Wonder are there any possibilities for legal prosecution? I have all the emails, reciepts and so on. This guy probably scammed lots of people for their money like he did me

recently ordered baking steel from Smokerig and, while there was a delay due to supply issues and what was clearly an extremely busy summer period, I couldn't fault the customer service I received from Steve.

I think it's really important to mention that if you're waiting for an order or have any concerns, pick up the phone or contact Steve directly on WhatsApp and let him put right the situation.

From my experience, he genuinely values his customers, responds personally and will do everything he can to help.

Steve kept me updated about the supply situation and, once the new stock arrived, made sure my order was prioritised and dispatched. I've now received my order and a little extra from Steve as an apology!

It's easy to judge a small business purely on a delay, particularly when they're dealing with circumstances outside their immediate control. For me, how a company deals with things when they don't go perfectly says far more. Steve has been approachable, honest and extremely helpful throughout.

Great product and genuinely excellent personal service. I'd happily buy from Smokerig again and would recommend contacting Steve directly if you have any questions about an order.

Paid for a steel on May 30th July still not received it. Like many on here I’ve been led a merry dance by Steve who only responds by phone. Ignores emails and promises to make it up to me by sending free stuff because of the wait. Last night I raised a dispute with my bank to get my money back. I don’t care that this guy is having difficulty with his delayed shipment of stock he shouldn’t be keeping folks money and ignoring emails it’s very rude and disrespectful. Never again will I use this Company.

ended up cancelling my order and had to call my bank to do so. Avoid at all costs.

I would avoid. Several weeks after my order, I reached out to ask where it was, Steve came back to me on email and said there were problems with his latest stock delivery, but would throw in a freebie to make up for it.

When it arrived I was missing several fixings and the freebie was useless (could not put the lid on the bbq using the freebie 1/2 grate). I have now emailed multiple times over several weeks, to ask if the missing fixings could be supplied, but my emails are being ignored.

The quality of the product received is also poor - skewers were bent, and rounded at the end, so not sharp enough to use properly.

All in all, a poor product with terrible service.

Avoid.

I ordered my wife a Pizza steel for her birthday from Smokerig. I made the order online and followed this up with a phone call the following day as timescales were tight (I left it to the last minute as I usually do). I spoke to Steve who couldn't have been more helpful. I explained my situation and he made sure to get the Pizza steel sent out to me on that very day - this included the custom engraving, complementary wax and microfibre cloth. He even put a custom message from me onto a business style card and included this in the package also, free of charge. The product arrived the very next day, nicely packaged.
My wife has since used the Pizza steel in our conventional oven and it produces fantastic pizza's - just like those from an actual pizza oven.
I have seen the other reviews on here but honestly I can't rate my experience with Smokerig and Steve highly enough and it takes a lot to impress me.

Like others ordered in july. Says it was in stock was expecting it to be shipped. Couple days later got a email saying your order is complete with no tracking information.

Call them up after nothing for a few days. Told it would be sent out in the next few days. Lied too and was never sent. Got my money back from Paypal. Basically avoid them

Similar story to other reviews. Ordered steels mid May, still not received. Sent multiple emails, some were ignored, some I had a response with promises of being sent in the next shipment. Still not received. Genuinely horrific service. Go elsewhere. Scam company. Very very poor.

I placed an order for over £230 on the 9th May.
On 20 May they said they were waiting for planchas but would send everything else out with a bonus freebie. That was the last I heard from them.
Have emailed multiple times and have received no reply. 6 weeks with no idea if anything will arrive. Have raised a dispute with my bank to get a refund.

update: I did eventually receive the order but some items were missing and the riser didn't fit. Steve re-sent the missing items but it sat at the post office due to the incorrect postage being paid. He dealt with that quickly and everything finally arrived at the end of July. He included a lot of extras things for free as well. The products are very good but the wait time, poor comms and having to chase is a big pain.

Ordered a pizza steel in May, and have heard nothing to this day. Contacted them multiple times and got no response. No communication, no delivery estimate. No idea if it will turn up or not. Avoid!

*Update* Royal Mail now seems to have the item, however the sender has not paid the full amount for delivery. I now have to pay this surcharge myself to get the item delivered. I have never had worse customer service from any online shop, it's truly pathetic. DO NOT order from this place.

Placed my order on February 28 and after that… nothing. No update, no shipping information, and no reply to multiple emails. Very disappointing customer service experience.

I ordered a month ago nothing received to this day. Please save ur money and time, apparently there’s Christmas backlogs halfway into January according to Steve 😂.

Excellent customer service. Engraving was missing from the order, responded to enquiry form immediately and helped resolve it very quickly.

It's so good, I ordered a second one!

Owned the 8mm one for several years now and its been faultless! Provides an amazing surface for baking breads and pizzas! Even used it on the hob to make smash burgers the other day, delicious!

Ordered a second 6mm one, 45cm x 40cm to maximise the baking/cooking real estate and get 4 loaves of bread going in the oven at the same time!

Customer service has also been great! Steve was prompt to answer any and all my questions, and even has held back the order whilst I am on holiday to ensure I'm in when its delivered!

Excellent product ! Recently purchased the pizza steel tray for my oven , I phoned the company to ask a couple of questions , Steve was very helpful and knowledgeable , advised me to get the larger one , at no extra cost !! Gem of a guy went above and beyond ! Pizzas are amazing

I pre ordered the 50/50 set for the Weber Go Everywhere BBQ, they emailed me once items were back in stock, I ordered straight away, and received within a few days with full tracking, haven't been able to use them yet, but extremely happy with my purchase and service.

I ordered a 4 square plancha. When it didnt arrive I phoned and spoke to Steve who explained reason for delay. He couldnt have been more helpful and threw in a heat deflector for free. I will be ordering a riser from him soon and asking for advice on how best to use it. This guy knows his stuff and I like to use small companies if I can. This is not mass produced stuff and the service is personal.

Good value pizza steels (I have 2 from them), but customer service can be lacking. They forgot to send the seasoning wax advertised with my steel, so I contacted them and they replied promising to send it, but it's been months and it never arrived.
