Even after repeated emails

Even after repeated emails, phone calls not just from me but also wowcher who are trying to refund my money......nothing, no one contacts you, answers the phone and even live chat gets you frustrated. Sent a letter too, complete waste of time. DO NOT use this company.
Beware taking out any wowcher offers for this company, my voucher codes did not work.

Are they smiley hippo because they are a big scam?

You get no support no contact phone is never answered. I had an email two weeks ago saying my book is on its way ... joke, it was meant as a present for my 88 year old mother. After reading the reviews i am wondering if anyone ever received this or is it a scam??
Think i will call BBCs watch dog

AVOID AVOID AVOID

Ordered 2 photo calendars on the 12th of November and paid 7-9 day courier. No sign of the calendars and I have been phoning and leaving messages with my name and number for the past week with no response, sent 4 emails and 3 Facebook messages and no one has got back to me. Customer service is absolutely shocking. AVOID

Dont waste your time with this company - I have spent hours sorting out a photobookmand discovered vouchers not accepted. Phoned,emailed and water more time with the so called chat line and still no reply

Absolute joke of a company

Absolute joke of a company, avoid at all costs!!! I have been waiting over 2 months for the photo book I've ordered. Tried ringing, messaging with no joy. Last email I sent them threatening to take action, I received an email shortly afterwards to say that my product had been dispatched. This was 3 weeks ago and still nothing. I've opened a case with PayPal which has resulted I a refund, I am however awaiting the p&p costs. Furious with this company as it was a ruby wedding anniversary gift for a special couple, which they will never recieve now. Disgusting and disgraceful, please, please avoid at all cost

Do not buy rubbish communication

I ordered 12th nov paid for 7-9 dsy courior delivery i did not recieve item after 10 days so rang they said it would be sent the next week i rang a week later to them saying it been posted but had no dispatch email. These are xmas presents to be sent to australia i told them this and friday just gone the manager ssid he printed 1 calender off to send out i said i ordered 10he said he would ring me back that night and no phone call. I rang today monday to be told it was being dispatched today this was after my 3rd call and mark not ringing me back. And by end of day he still hasnt rang. I am away now tomorrow for the week so missed postage for australia so got fsmily with no presents.
Shocking customer service worst ever will not buy again from these just hope i get other calenders in time for christmas so not all family are missing presents.

Update 10th dec still not got calenders and no dispatch notice last spoke to the office on the 3rd and was told manager would ring me no onedid i put in complaint with paypal who tried they have give me refund of voucher but out of pocket 9 pound for postage (as thst not paid on paypsl) no one has tried contact me sll week from there still no calenders a month after ordering them. Do not buy.

Ordered a photobook on October 13th

Ordered a photobook on October 13th. Chased it up via email on approximately November 25th. I then received a dispatch email on 27th November still nothing 2 weeks later.

I purchased through Wowcher. So contacted them, who in turn have contacted smileyhippo. My next step will be to claim my voucher back from Wowcher and claim my delivery money back from Smileyhippo.

Absolute Sharks, so stay away!!

I have now been waiting over 40 days…

I have now been waiting over 40 days for the delivery of my photo book which was promised within 9 working days.
All attempts to get a sensible answer from Smiley hippo so far have failed.
I have emailed them several times and left messages on what is laughingly called their helpline.
Steer clear of this woefully inadequate company.

Don't be fooled by the 'nice' name…...

Don't be fooled by the 'nice' name of this company!
There's a reason why you find them always giving offers through companies like LivingSocial and Groupon........
Their customer service is non-existent. Having made a purchase of 2x photo albums, I had a couple of questions to ask and have had no response to either email or even phoning them. The phone goes to another company's answer machine service and you don't get a call back. I have now left 4 messages and still nothing, despite the message saying that they are open normal working hours and will call back. Money wasted and with no recourse to discuss anything.

Stay away.

Ordered and uploaded photos for special…

Ordered and uploaded photos for special birthday present for the 106 page photobook on the 12th October and still have not received . Several ignored emails/live chat lol and unanswered phone calls also , then a email 12 November "We have been having a major issue with the production of our Photobook products over the last couple of weeks, which we are very sorry for.

All we can say is that we have now overcome the issues and have upgraded our systems to ensure these are not repeated in the future."
Then 23 November "We're pleased to inform you that the following items from your order are now on their way." Alas 16 days gone ,still have not received item. The time+effort and hassle envolved trying to get this item never mind the disappointment of not receiving item is beyond a joke,and to get no compensation from this so called firm is verging on disgraceful,you think in 2018 you wouldn't have to go a check a firms trustness when buying a product like this(schoolboy error not checking)

WASTE OF SPACE - DO NOT USE

I can't believe anyone can give more than 1 star - minus would be more accurate. These are the most unprofessional, disgusting customer service company I have ever had the unfortunate displeasure to come across. I'm having all the same issues as many others state, I have requested a copy of their full complaints procedure but not holding my breath for a, response, so my next steps will be, small claims, chargeback through bank , and trading standards - this company (if it is a, real company) should not be trading. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS COMPANY , they do not care that they are ruining people's gifts whether it's weddings , birthdays or in my case 5 Christmas calendars.

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful! The customer service is appalling! I also got a voucher for the 106 page book (I bought 4 to do photobooks of our wedding as presents). I placed all 4 orders back on 5th Nov and still nothing. They had the cheek to make me pay £7.95 PER ITEM for delivery!!! It said 9 days and i'm still waiting! I had the same first response as below about production issues but ever since then they have not been responding to my emails. I will never be using this company again, nor recommending them. I will be taking advice from below and look into a small claims court I think!

Process a claim in Small Claims Court

Ordered 6 weeks ago and still not received. Sent an email to their customer support team and received this as a response -
Hi



We have been having a major issue with the production of our Photobook products over the last couple of weeks, which we are very sorry for.
All we can say is that we have now overcome the issues and have upgraded our systems to ensure these are not repeated in the future.
Whilst we cannot prioritise individual orders as our systems are totally automatic- we will be endeavouring to get yours and all other remaining older orders out as quickly as possible

We do not offer any formal recompense for any order which is after our stated times

Needless to say, not impressed, but hey ho if that’s how they want to treat their customers then I’ll have to resort to filing through the Small Claims Court Online, breach of contract with compound interest of 8% per day for the past 6 weeks along with additional expenses chasing this up and sourcing through another company should net around £1,500, so the boots on the other foot now.
I would advise anyone who’s been waiting for weeks to register a claim at the small claims court online as it’s a very easy process.

Smiley Hippo is really laughing at us....

I see Juliet's order finally arrived and so I'm still hopeful. My order went in at the end of October. Fingers crossed it'll be here soon. I gave up contacting the Company I'll just not use them again.
I note they use exactly the same software as Photobook UK - who I actually found quite good a while ago although the software is not the friendliest. I wonder if 3M Print really produce the photobooks in the UK or do they come from Malaysia as do Photobook UK.
If you ordered items for Christmas I hope you have a back up plan.

I bought a voucher for the 106 page…

I bought a voucher for the 106 page album from wowcher. It should have been delivered no later than 25th October.
I thought "great". It was my parents diamond wedding anniversary on the 1st November. It was to be a gift from my 2 toddler grandchildren for them.
Biggest mistake I have made. Several ignored emails and unanswered phone calls later i got in touch with wowcher. They were brilliant. Tried everything. Even they had a job getting an answer. Eventually a reply. "Had technical difficulties over the last couple of weeks. Be with you in a few days "
Like hell it was. The album arrived yesterday. Friday 30th November! A month late for my parents.
I am disgusted with the attitude. I can only surmise that they don't give a damn. Customer service is nonexistent.
To add insult to injury, they have the cheek to charge £7.95 for postage. It was supposed to be much less. Only to send the album by 2nd class costing £2.95. It's printed on the stamp from the post office.
It's way past time somebody came down hard on them. They're making a fortune for nothing. They even go so far as to ask you for a good review! Yeah right. Don't think so.
Don't touch them with a barge pole.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

The Good
When you do finally get your product, it's a great finish and quality- better than some other photobook suppliers I've used .As I also got the 106 page photobook through a Living Social voucher, I feel I have got more than my money's worth so no complaints there in terms of product received. The several times I did have to call to track my order , the staff were apologetic and helpful or rather helpless.
The Bad
The customer service as it's pot luck if the phone is answered - I didn't even bother emailing to be honest as never expect a response! . This only adds to your anxiety about a)whether you are ever going to receive your product b) does this actual company exist and c)whether you could face the torture of spending another fortnight of evenings making another book in desperation to get it elsewhere.
The Ugly
Don't use this company if you have a deadline. I'd say 9 weeks rather 9 days is more realistic! I have just concluded that small to medium companies promoting through voucher sites are rarely able to fulfil all their normal lead times when they're inundated with orders. Not necessarily the worst service I've received but promising 9 days delivery is giving false expectations so now I'm reluctant to use again sadly.
