Great experience and professional care at Smile Hair Clinic
I had my hair transplant at Smile Hair Clinic and so far I am very happy with my experience.
From the first contact, the communication was professional, friendly and well organized. The whole process in Istanbul went smoothly, and the team made me feel comfortable and well looked after throughout the procedure.
I especially appreciated the detailed aftercare instructions and the continued support after returning home. Whenever I had a question or sent photos of my recovery, the team responded quickly and reassured me about the healing process.
I am still in the very early stage after my transplant, so of course the final result will take time, but the hairline and the work already look very promising to me.

I’m so glad that I chose Smile.
I did a lot of research on various hair transplant clinics in the world and finally settled on Turkey. The next step was which clinic, which again was an exhaustive task. I read lots of reviews on various sites and it really felt like I was getting nowhere. I found Reddit to be pretty unhelpful and ‘bot’ heavy.
I contacted a few (5 or so) places that I had short listed and they all responded and it was something about the response that I got from Smile that seemed to stand out to me. They were very professional with their outreach, but also very friendly, and not pushy at all. So I decided to go with them for my FUE.
Everything from that point was brilliant. They kept in touch with me about the planning of my trip to the clinic and were there to answer any questions that I had with promptness.
At Istanbul airport, Smile picked me up and took me to the hotel. Everything was really professional and the hotel was amazing (fab room and really comfortable).
The next day was my surgery day and after an amazing breakfast I (and other clients) were picked up from the hotel.
At Smile the staff were really friendly and once the paperwork was completed we were all sent to private rooms to meet the medical staff team, have a chat with the surgeon about my expectations and ultimately begin the procedure.
I was expecting the anaesthesia injections to be uncomfortable and I found it to be not as painful as I had read, and the staff spoke to me the whole time and explained what they were doing and I was made to feel totally at ease (I am a Brit that travelled from NY the day before so I actually fell asleep during the procedure). The team were amazing and just did their thing with total professionalism.
We had a break in the middle and Smile provided a great lunch (falafel was superb)!, before returning to the surgery.
At the end one of the surgeons returned and did some fine tuning with my hairline before making sure I was okay and if I was happy with how things went…which I absolutely was.
I was transported back to the hotel and felt really relieved, relaxed and happy.
Next day I returned to the clinic where my dressing was removed, my donor area was washed and re-dressed. Other patients and I were given information on aftercare and were able ask questions and I flew out the following morning.
In short my experience has been amazing with Smile and I am 101% happy with my result. It has been 8 months since I was there and my expectations have been exceeded. Also Smile have been in touch periodically to check in with my progress and their aftercare communication has been brilliant.
I hope this review helps if you are unsure about who to go with for your HT…. My advice would be go with SMILE!! They will take great care of you.

I recommend this clinic to everyone. I visited the clinic on May 26th. I found the entire team very welcoming; they treated me as if they knew me for years. The boss is a fantastic person—he is very personable, kept checking to see if I was okay, and was truly attentive. It’s been nearly three months since the procedure, and the results are already visible; new hair has started to grow in. It’s really great. I am very happy with my choice. Crooked Hairline, Un-Grafted Gap, and Zero Accountability...
Getting a hair transplant is a massive step, and I booked their Platinum Package trusting their medical team implicitly. Instead, it turned into an absolute nightmare.
On Day 2, when my bandages were removed, one of their doctors noticed my hairline was completely crooked. They attempted an immediate on-the-spot revision, but botched it—leaving a glaring, un-grafted bare gap on my frontal hairline. I trusted them as professionals and assumed it was normal, only realizing the full extent of the damage once I returned home to the UK.
When I brought the gap to their attention, they casually told me to "pop in" for a touch-up, expecting me to pay for international flights and hotels so they could make a third attempt on my head. I refuse to risk letting this clinic anywhere near my scalp ever again.
When I stood my ground, they claimed I should have complained while still in Turkey. To this day, I have received zero accountability or viable solutions—only endless stalling. They claimed they were conducting an internal review, but missed multiple written deadlines they set themselves.
If they reply below asking to talk, know that they missed every written deadline before I posted this.
Protect your hair, your money, and your sanity: stay away
UPDATE (In Response to Clinic Reply):
The clinic’s reply confirms my concerns rather than addressing them:
False Claim of a "Planned" Procedure: I never agreed to or booked a second procedure during my visit. While a secondary session in the distant future was mentioned as a generic option, I was explicitly assured the primary operation would produce a complete hairline.
The Gap & Travel Burden: A distinct, linear gap in the hairline is caused by missing grafts, not temporary swelling. Expecting me to fund international flights and hotels back to Istanbul for a third attempt on my scalp in a matter of months is not a reasonable solution.
Delayed Files: Citing "summer leave" as an excuse for repeatedly missing deadlines to provide my requested case files and information is unacceptable for a international medical facility.
No Accountability: Asking me to "wait" while delaying my files prevents me from seeking independent care. A truly solution-oriented clinic would release my complete, unredacted medical records immediately so UK specialists can assess the damage.

My experience with the hair transplant clinic was excellent from start to finish. When I arrived at the airport, the clinic provided transportation to take me directly to my hotel and later to the clinic, which made the entire process convenient and stress-free. The hotel was very nice, clean, and comfortable, and I felt well taken care of during my stay. Everyone at the clinic was extremely helpful, friendly, and professional, and they made sure I felt comfortable and informed throughout the process. The staff was easy to work with, answered all of my questions, and made the experience much smoother than I expected. 12 months into my transplant and I could not be happier. Still to this day I am getting many compliments on how good my hair looks, with some friends and family not even realising that I’d even had one.
When I look back on my experience with smile hair clinic I could not be happier, from start to finish they have been absolutely amazing. They take so much pride and passion in what they do, and the care they have for their patients is incredible. I would and have recommended them to anyone, and everyone because they are wonderful!

A very good experience at the clinic
A very good experience at the clinic. The doctor was very kind and took the time to assess my needs and provide a personalized treatment plan. The surgical team was very efficient. There was a very helpful translator who greeted me and explained the procedure. The clinic also provided a very well-written guide to post-operative care. The hotel was very comfortable and the driver was punctual. I highly recommend it. I'm now waiting to see the results.

Special mention to Pelin, my patient specialist — her follow-up after the surgery was excellent. She answered all my questions in detail and was always there when I needed her.

I had had a hair transplant in Germany before, but they had done a bad job. So I searched for a very good company to fix it and I saw that one of my favourite YouTubers had been at Smile Hair Clinic and the result looks great. Just to be safe I booked the most expensive package. Most of the communication was done via WhatsApp. At the airport I found the man with the sign (“CEO …”) across the street. The shuttle picked me up about 15 minutes later. The hotel was nice. The operation was done perfectly and even quite fast. They put the grafts exactly where I wanted them. Everything was far better than what I had experienced before. I even got a lunch there. The next day we were brought to the clinic where we were shown some instructions and they gave us medication and liquids. Then a shuttle took me to the airport. Everything was well organised.
