pure FRAUD

December 2009, ordered and paid for inks. They never arrived. Advised Smartinks who said they must have gone astray and that they would send more. Did not respond to phone calls, emails or recorded letters and naturally the "missing" items never arrived. A Google search revealed a great number of others in same position as me so I referred to my local Trading Standards who confirmed Wigan Trading Standards were dealing with a number of complaints against Smartinks. Got an email from TS to say Damien Lowe had told them (Wigan) he was going to deal with all complaints but twelve months later I still have had no response from him and am now told he is now ignoring Trading Standards as well. He has set up a new company also called Smartinks, with a web site fronted by "EAM OFFICE LTD" . You might as well throw your money out of the window as deal with this firm.

Dishonest?

Ordered the ink from the nice looking website. No ink, no refund, and now no responses despite very numerous reminders. I wish I had taken the effort to search them out and see all the other bad reviews. This has not ended....

Simply thieves - do not use

Happily accept online orders, take your money then run. No delivery, then a standard mail about they will redeliver, then nothing. Money gone, no items.
They should be jailed for this fraud.

Joe

I ordered inks which did not arrive, when I phoned to complain either the calls failed or no-one answered. When I emailed them they said they would repost the item and didn't. I emailed them again and asked for a refund they told me they would refund, but still haven't so they are thieves plain and simple. I will be reporting them to trading standards and getting my money back through my credit card company.

none

Do not purchase from this company. I ordered inks at the beginning of October and after many emails and phone calls. I still have not received them. I will be reporting this to trading standards. This is indeed theft by Smart Inks.

Absolute Rubbish - quite possibly a one man outfit out to con you

Please don't order anything from Smartinks. I've spent the past month trying to get hold of my order and have lost count of the amount of times a set of cartridges has been posted to me and never arrived. Bearing in mind orders from anywhere else arrive without problem, I get the distinct impression this is a deliberate act to take money and not provide goods. I really do recommend trying elsewhere and giving this lot a very wide berth.

No goods, no refund, no reply

I ordered a printer cartridge in July 2009, It never arrived. I emailed them and they said they would send another one out. That never arrived. I emailed them again. They said they would send a 3rd one out. That never arrived. After that they simply ignored all my emails and telephone calls. I have now taken the matter up with Trading Standards who tell me there have been numerous complaints about this company and are now investigating.

1st March - Order placed
3rd March - Dispatch confirmation e-mail received
17th March - I query whereabouts of goods
18th March - They inform me that replacement would be dispatched today
25th March - I query whereabouts of goods
26th March - They ask to confirm my delivery address
26th March - I ask for a refund
27th March - They pass refund to accounts department
6th April - I query whereabouts of refund
7th April - They tell me the refund will be done immediately
14th April - I again query whereabouts of refund
NO REPLY
20th May - I AGAIN query whereabouts of refund
NO REPLY
1st June - I AGAIN query whereabouts of refund
NO REPLY

In the meantime, I've had their 'Safebuy' licence revoked. At least that's something positive!

As you can see, nothing at all 'Smart' about SmartInks.

If I were you, I'd avoid like the plague!

Breach of contract

I placed an order online on 21 December. I allowed 2-5 days delivery, and more, given that it was the Christmas holiday. I notified by email on January 17 that the order had not arrived. On 19 January, I notified again, as requested, that the order had not arrived. I then heard nothing from them. On 29 January, I emailed again, and this time requested a refund, since they had charged my account for £35.73 on 23 December. They indicated that they would pass the refund request to the accounts department. On 8 February, I emailed again to ask how long the refund would take. They replied that it would take 3-4 days. On 14 February, I emailed again to ask where my refund was. I had no reply. On 20 February, I telephoned and spoke to Julie. Julie agreed that it was taking rather a long time, but there was noone in Accounts to deal with my enquiry. Julie promised that someone would telephone me back before 5.00pm that day. No-one telephoned back. Since neither email, nor telephone is working, I decided to write and ask again for my refund.

I have still received neither goods, nor response nor refund.
