Full of BS!
Placed a big order with an extra discount/price adjustment, but got a different partial refund in the end.
Firstly, the reason why I was given this extra 25% discount was because they weren't willing to fulfill another order due to pricing errors. They advertised Gucci sunglasses at super competitive prices, like £40-70 each, and then they cancelled my order saying this was just a mistake.
Then I used this promised discount on another order, which contained 8 different items, kept 5 and returned 3 to them. Got less amount than I expected, rang their CS, and I was given this BS saying that the 25% was divided to 8 parts, and they insisted that their math was right and I refused to refund me the difference.
Let me put it into numbers. If the order is £500, and they first refund this extra 25%, which £125. If the 3 items I return is £180 in total before discount, then I'm expecting £135 to be refunded. But they insist the 25% discount, which is £125, needs to be divided into 8 parts, and that makes one item only has £15.6 discount. In whole, I was given less refund then I expected.
I have talked to PayPal, and they realised my issue and be willing to reimburse me(from PayPal's pocket).

This is the second pair of sunglasses…
Honestly I would not shop here again. I’m giving a frank review. received two pairs of out of shape sun glasses in two separate orders. Yes after some pushing management gave me some discount but it was only with my using this platform to Achieve the result and the fact I was going away. I give a 5 star review as per my agreement with them to receive the extra discount but I can’t recommend you buy retro super future from them. They’re buying team are way off, something is very off. I’m saying factory seconds … sold at full price… even the guys I got to straighten the glasses to some kind of level point agreed with me.

Waste of time
Ordered prescription sunglasses, numerous emails were sent to confirm the prescription I had uploaded. Seemed like they where stalling as when it got close to the delivery date the frames where out of stock I was shown alternative frames which in turn where all more then my original payment. Making me wonder if this was a ploy for me to spend more money. In the end I cancelled my order and will see how long it takes till I actually get a refund, overall a waste of time.

Cheapest option compared to other sites. Shipping could be faster but overall super happy with my sunglasses!
Customer service is managed by bot
Customer service is managed by bot. Emailed for account log in, nothing. Prescription enquiry, nothing. Bot keeps sending email to follow up. Cancelling my order and if this is the level of service before order is received then imagine what happens when you receive your order. Probably use AI to reply to this review.

Generally okay, returns process difficult
Generally okay. No problem ordering and paying. Glasses shipped from Hong Kong which is fine if they don't end up being shipped with a crack in one of the lenses which Quality Control should have picked up. This was not during transit as packaged excellently. Started the return process but shipping costs and a (deliberately) protracted returns process meant I felt it easier to live with the small crack.

Good customer service and price.
The company offered a good deal on a pair of sunglasses I'd admired for a while. I bought them with no hassle through the website.
When the sunglasses arrived, I tried them on and, sadly, realised they didn't fit. I contacted them to arrange a return stating the reason. The item was returned and I was kept updated throughout the process about the delivery status.
Shortly afterwards I was refunded the full amount of the purchase.
I would use this company again.

Really like the glasses
Fantastic value glasses
Fantastic value glasses. My friends all comment about how great my glasses are. Some even come with standard lenses included. I have just bought my self another 3 designer pairs. I do love this site. You ca afford for designer frames to be fashion accessories.
A Masterclass in How Not to Handle an Order
I placed an order on June 9, and according to the website everything looked “smooth” and “in progress.”
Of course, the tracking page didn’t actually show anything useful — just a vague “processing” status that never changed. No timeline, no progress, no estimated delivery. A masterpiece of saying absolutely nothing.
Then came the real magic trick: the promised 5–7 working days somehow didn’t start from the day I paid, but from the day their lab felt like acknowledging the frame — June 18.
Apparently, time works differently at SmartBuyGlasses. The calendar resets whenever it’s convenient for them. Fascinating concept.
I was also given a collection of internal excuses I’m somehow expected to care about.
Because clearly, as a customer, it’s my responsibility to understand why their lab only “received” the frame nine days after payment.
What an experience.
Even the phone number displayed on their website (800‑011‑9588) turned out to be inoperable for UK customers — a nice touch for a company that advertises global support.
After more than 10 working days with zero actual progress, I cancelled the order.
And honestly, when a company struggles to be transparent about something as basic as timelines, it does make you wonder how confident you should be about the authenticity of the frame itself.
Luckily, I’ll never have to find out — the refund is processed, and life goes on.
Overall, a masterclass in how to turn a simple order into a guessing game.
Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend them.
And since I know they usually reply to negative reviews: no response is needed.
The situation is already resolved, and nothing you say now can change the experience I had.

I’ve struggled with computer work for a long time I just couldn’t see clearly. Your glasses are amazing I am so much more comfortable infront of the screen
Good on eyes
The designer frames look and feel completely genuine. The "premium" thin glass came as a bit of a surprise, as it is the same thickness as standard UK lenses. However, I don't mind wearing thicker lenses because the optical properties, comfort, and overall performance are absolutely outstanding. This is honestly the first pair of glasses in many years that feels as good as it gets. Considering the price, they still offer great value.
Order lost in delivery - terrible service
Order - EN0831678522G
Very disappointed with how SmartBuyGlasses handled this issue.
The problem began when DPD failed to deliver my parcel and it went days without a physical parcel scan. I contacted SmartBuyGlasses immediately, as they are the party responsible for raising an investigation with DPD. DPD confirmed that they could not conduct a depot search until an investigation had been opened.
Despite notifying SmartBuyGlasses promptly, several days passed with no action. After contacting DPD myself, I was told that no investigation had been raised. I then repeatedly asked SmartBuyGlasses to do so, stressing that the longer they waited, the greater the risk of the parcel being permanently lost.
Even after speaking with multiple customer service representatives, I was repeatedly told that an investigation had already been opened and that the logistics team was actively monitoring the situation. However, DPD consistently confirmed that no investigation existed.
My issue with SBG is not that DPD lost the parcel, that can happen and is not SmartBuyGlasses' fault. My issue is the lack of accountability, transparency and lies from their customer service team. I was forced to spend significant time going back and forth between both companies to get any progress. On multiple occasions, I was given inaccurate information and the goodwill discount offered was lower than discounts readily available through browser extensions such as Honey or Coupert.
The item was refunded, but based on this experience, I would not recommend SmartBuyGlasses. If everything goes smoothly, you may have no issues, but if something goes wrong and you need customer support, the service falls well below expectations.
UPDATE
Regarding the alternate glasses and frame sizes you suggested - the alternate ones are not what I want and you don't have the size/style of the glasses I want any longer.
