All of the events are cancelled
All of the events are cancelled, wasting my time and money and they don’t refund to the original payment method. Instantly they hold the money until you can have another event, but then those events are cancelled as well.
They have cancelled so many events I feel dizzy
They have no idea what they’re doing in the dating arena, and now, when I hear the word slow dating, I feel sick from their incompetence…
They need to move on over and let someone who knows what they’re doing, get on with it,
and if they intend to keep their company, they need to change their name and declare under new management
Terrible!

Traditionally Speed Dating is 3 minutes, however we give you 4 minutes, hence the name Slowdating! We find that 4 minutes is just long enough to work out if you are interested in the person, leaving you wanting more and if you wish to see them again!
Free speech is of course allowed, however we remind all daters to be mindful that you are meeting new people and treat all daters with the same respect you would give that of someone you have not met before!
As per our Terms and Conditions:
We provide Speed Dating events where people can meet one another in a relaxed, safe environment. Should your behaviour be deemed to be inappropriate, we reserve the right to refuse entry or ask you to leave the event.
We have had many success stories from our events and many people have a great time!

Really lovely and enjoyable night out.
Attended an event in Bath on 11th April, my first time trying dating for over 15 years.
The venue was amazing, really plush and classy. The host (Ben?) was really engaging, very bubbly, and I think that helped to lift the evening. It seemed that everyone was having a great time, and I met alot of lovely people. It was an excellent night out, whether I match with anyone of not. I've since done another event, and taken a rather shy friend along (his first time out in a dozen years), and he had an epic time!
Really looking forward to attending another event in Bath.

I have been to several events in…
I have been to several events in Bournemouth and Southampton this year and can say I have absolutely loved each one. A great evening where you meet other single people looking for love. Even if you don't make a match, as a single person with nothing else in your calendar....Great night chatting to lovely people. Each person is different and such an enjoyable experience (which is why I have enjoyed a few evenings!) Thoroughly recommended!

We find it frustrating too when we have no shows at an event, especially in circumstances like last night whereby the event was fully booked and daters all confirmed. However as we are sure you can understand, cannot control if daters confirm their place on the event and then choose not to attend, with no notice to ourselves and in turn we cannot force people to stay at event, like yourselves, upon arrival.
We can confirm that there were some lovely men at the event to meet and as per our Terms and Conditions:
We guarantee a minimum of 6 dates at any regular speed dating event. If you meet less than 6 people at any one event, you may, at our discretion, be offered a discount voucher towards a future speed dating event (no refunds).
We were very disappointed to hear that you did not choose to stay for the duration of the evening as it still was a fun evening for those that stayed and there have been matches since!
On this occasion, we have created a personalised code for you or a friend to use at a future event as we are disappointed to hear that you left and did not have the chance to experience a fun evening, this code is in the email from ourselves!
We look forward to seeing you or a friend at an event in the future, take care and stay safe.

Complete waste of time
Complete waste of time. I attended a 30s to 40s event. I drove 50 mins in the snow to get to the event. Slug and lettuce pub in Worcestershire. With the distance this cost me a lot in fuel, parking.
On arrival at 1912hrs as advised on the email I entered the pub to find it practically deserted. No signage to help with where to go and nobody from the event to meet and greet.
There was a few lads there and two women whom I asked if they were there for speed dating and they wasn’t.
I grabbed a drink and waited in the bar area until 1930 (start time) and again not a sole.
No email to inform me if it was cancelled or what.
If you’re putting an event on you need someone to greet people at the door, or at least have signage to help.
No doubt they will come back with the excuse that the bar staff knew, but it’s not their job to advice on it, it’s yours!
I have emailed for a full refund, let’s wait to see what pity excuse they come up with.
If I receive my refund I will update with positive outcome, if not I will write one star review every week until it’s resolved.
Update - I have received an email today. Thank you for prompt reply and for taking on board criticism moving forward. I shall look forward to the refund.
As a result of the good customer service I have altered the star rating as promised.

We have spoken to the host for last night’s event and can confirm that he was present at the venue from 6pm to set up in the balcony area of the venue, just above the bar. He has informed us that he very clearly asked the bar team to direct all daters upstairs to the regular dating space, we are sorry if this did not happen when you purchased your drink.
Following this, we can confirm we will now be producing signs to be displayed at the venue to very clearly point all daters to the space in which the event is taking place to save any further confusion.
We can confirm that the event did take place and that you were missed - daters began arriving to the venue from 7pm so there is a chance you just missed them in the bar area as they made their way up the stairs!
We have emailed you with regards to the refund and hope you accept the gesture of goodwill and do not take our response as an 'excuse' but as human error, as can happen.
We apologise that you did not get the chance to date but hope to see you at a future event in Worcester under better conditions!

We can confirm that at a 30s & 40s event means you will meet people aged between 30-49 and we allow leeway of two years outside of the age range should the dater check with us in advance, as per our Terms and Conditions. We have also checked back on our 30s & 40s event for the date you attended and can confirm that all Ladies booked on were within the stated age range as per our records.
Unfortunately we do sometimes experience uneven numbers when we have 'No-Shows' to an event. Please know we find this frustrating too as we want all of our events to have even numbers, but as we are sure you can understand, sometimes cannot be helped.
Once again we apologise that the event was not as you had hoped and hope that one day you will consider returning to us to allow us to redeem ourselves!

Heavily delayed, bad venue.
Event was repeatedly delayed for 6 months making it clear that Slow Dating struggles with filling seats. The event itself was hosted in a cold and cramped backroom of a club, that was far too small for 30 people. The host did try her best improve the lack of seating by setting up a few folded tables, but in the end it still wasn't a great environment for one to one conversations. Several people left half way through, but I can't blame them given the venue.

Was a nice evening. I think the host could have riled people up a bit more, they didn't seem like they knew what they were doing which was a little off putting. But they were polite and kind when we came in. I think it should be mandatory that everyone uploads an image to their profile, as it was very hard to remember everyone the day after!

You don't cater for older people enough
You don't cater for older people. Need some 60+ events. You need to make it mandatory to put photo on your web site, because it is difficult to remember who's who, especially when guys have the same name. Maybe you could try some day-time events as it is difficult to raise the enthusiasm in the dark, cold nights. However, I enjoyed the event overall and good host.

We encourage our daters to upload profile pictures, however this is not a mandatory part of making your profile, hence it is so important to keep a hold of your speeding ticket the next day!

Very nice hosts
Very nice hosts, arrived at required time to only sit there for half an hour twindling my thumbs, really wish I left as clearly not all the women were single, one was very hostile and one was incredibly stunning so I don't think that was genuine, I went with an open mind and I'm not too bad to look at but not a single match, something wasn't quite right about it all, especially as one guy kept refusing to move after the bell.
