Lazarus was great with his input and made the whole booking experience fantastic

The agent Summer was patient, responsible, flexible and very customer oriented. Thank you! I found the Skylux website/systems a bit clunky and unreliable - had to spend 2.5 hours to book the tickets and the vouchers for a correction (so had to re book) / wrong entry and thus getting earlier have still not come thru. But Summer really made it worth while.

We had a good experience with Skylux this past January booking our flight to New Zealand and just yesterday purchased tickets for Morocco. Our agent, Randy, did a very thorough job for us.

The agent is very very rude. Never ever buy from them. Their call center based in India and their agents are very rude. I wanted to give them a try but will never call them again.

As per SkyLux, request here is the detail version of the incident:

I was looking for two round-trip business-class tickets for an upcoming trip and came across an advertisement for SkyLux Travel. I decided to contact them to see what options and pricing they could offer.

I initially sent a message through the SkyLux Travel website, and a customer service representative provided me with the phone number 1-888-314-2443 and asked me to call so they could discuss my travel options.

I called the number at approximately 11:34 PM Eastern Time. The representative who answered asked me several questions about my trip, including my budget, and I provided all of the requested information.

Unfortunately, after receiving my information, the representative’s attitude became rude and unprofessional. He told me that, for my destination, I should expect to pay more than $6,000 per person for a business-class ticket.

I explained that I had already found better pricing through other travel websites, including Kayak and Trip.com, and wanted to know whether SkyLux Travel could offer a competitive alternative.

Instead of trying to explain the pricing or provide additional options, the representative became frustrated and angry. His attitude made me feel as though he was no longer interested in assisting me simply because I questioned the quoted price and mentioned competing websites.

What makes the experience even more disappointing is that I ultimately found and purchased two round-trip business-class tickets on Qatar Airways through Trip.com for approximately $2,500 per ticket—significantly less than the $6,000+ per person price I was told to expect by the SkyLux representative.

I understand that airfare prices can vary depending on dates, availability, routes, and other factors, and I do not expect every travel agency to offer the lowest price. However, I do expect to be treated respectfully and professionally when contacting a company about making a significant purchase.

My concern is therefore not simply that SkyLux Travel quoted me a higher price. The bigger issue was the rude and unprofessional manner in which my questions and price comparison were handled. As a customer who was genuinely looking to purchase two business-class tickets, I found the experience extremely disappointing.

I would recommend that travelers compare prices from multiple sources before booking and consider both the value offered and the quality of customer service they receive.
