Skikk Bladr, this is the worst computer ever made. Immediately upon delivery already problems that Skikk would not bother to solve, I had to fix it myself. Company software and drivers are horrible and it is always a matter of waiting to see what needs to be reinstalled, if it is not a complete reinstallation. Every few hours of running time a complete computer crash.

Hardware broke down after 1 year of not to light use.

Actually, I don't feel like giving any additional explanation to my review. This is my reaction to the experience of the product I purchased from your company. But since you ask for it, I will.
The laptop I purchased from you has had several problems from the day of delivery, these have never been solved and no solutions have been proposed from your side for these problems, for instance they are:

1. Software problems from the day of purchase, updating was slow, a normal securerity update took several hours to download and install, instead of minutes. We have been in contact about this and the computer has been sent to you. The conclusion of this investigation was that there was nothing wrong with the computer, the problem was not solved.
2. To solve these problems, I tried to perform a clean installation of Windows, I ran into the following problems, every time I do this I end up in an endless loop where Windows does not automatically perform the clean installation. But it always comes back to the clean install or upgrade selection screen. And the drive must always be formatted. Usually at least six times. There has been contact about this, no reply from your side.
1. If windows is then almost installed I run into the following problem, the computer needs a WIFI driver, LAN does not work, it is not available between the drivers you offer on your website. There has been contact about this, your response was, "install the driver". In the end I managed to find a driver on the internet that was accepted by windows, of course it did not come from you.
2. Further problems during the installation concern the absence of multiple drivers in the package you offered, you have been sent an email with a screenshot on which a file was clearly not present that was present in your description. No response to this.
Furthermore, several Intel drivers are missing in your driver packet and a Motorola driver. By now just whatever.
3. The installation procedure for the computer is incomprehensible at certain points, there has been contact about this, no reply.
Before purchase, I asked you if it was possible to use this laptop to play games on an external monitor in 1440p, according to you this was possible. I'll be honest it's possible, albeit at a low quality and refresh rate.
I have to note that after a clean install this is only possible for a limited time, after a while the GPU starts to load itself so heavily that it crashes without any warning, and after this the system is so upset that this happens continuously until I get tired of it and proceed to a clean install again.
All this, the product you provided and your "service" made me decide to post the 1 star review on Trustpilot and I intend never to purchase a product or service from your company again.

I am very happy with my new laptop. SKIKK is one of the few companies that let you create your new laptop with the components -- amount of memory, amount, number and type of SSD storage(s) -- that you want to have. Moreover, they give sound advice on your ideas. And all this at a very acceptable price!

Initial Communication Failure
The start of the process was extremely worrying. I struggled significantly to get the correct VAT-excluded invoice for our company purchase. Worse, after I submitted the payment proof, the company went completely silent. My order disappeared from my account, and my attempts to contact them via phone and email were completely ignored. The lack of response was incredibly frustrating and caused concern that the purchase was lost.

Immediate Action and Blazing Fast Delivery
The moment I posted my 1-star review detailing these issues, the company's reaction was immediate and highly effective. They contacted me within 1-2 hours to resolve the situation. They promptly processed the order, and the laptop was delivered to my door in just 5 days (including a weekend)! This fulfillment speed is truly excellent.

Final Verdict
The final product is exactly as expected till now and looks really nice, though I need more time to test its long-term performance.
My conclusion is that while the pre-sales and initial customer service communication process was poor and stressful, their post-review recovery and delivery were extremely fast and effective. They demonstrated a strong commitment to fixing the issue once it was highlighted. I've adjusted my rating to reflect the speedy resolution and high-quality product.
I recommend the company for their product quality and delivery speed, but prospective buyers should be aware that the initial communication phase may be a struggle. They must drastically improve their initial support channels to prevent this kind of stress.

My laptop that costed 3.000 euros is an overheating garbage machine, it cannot go a few minutes without reaching 80C degrees without even doing anything.
Gaming performance is laughable, I had to buy an external 100 euro cooler to make the laptop not shut down due to overheating.
The laptop's gpu also apparently died from overheating a bit before guarantee thank god, they replaced it but the heating is still an issue, I bought the most expensive paste they had, and this is the heat transference?
Jesus fix your laptops, I'm never buying again from there, I have this laptop 2.5 years and its again failing like the first time, this time it didn't even last half a year.

Great service and availability over what’s-app, however not helpful in adjusting delivery details even when the package was not yet sent. They had to adhere to bol.com policy. Even though I wasn’t home and couldn’t adjust the delivery through the carrier. I needed the laptop on my workstation for a month and because I couldn’t adjust anything I missed the delivery and the carrier UPS wasn’t available on the weekend so I now can’t use my new laptop for a month.

Great company, great Service!!! The laptop I received initially had an issue. I got in contact with them, they tried to fix it remotely and once this was not possible, without any if's and why's, they sent me immediately a full working laptop, on their own expence. EXCELLENT!!! AAA

Awful customer service and shady business practices

I loved how they allowed for customising laptops so I bought a pretty expensive laptop as a gift for my partner to celebrate her securing a PhD position.

Once the laptop arrived, we noticed a lag issue while scrolling and opening windows so I contacted the Skikk team who initially were polite and helpful. We arranged to return the laptop for a repair, which they eventually returned. The lag issue was still there and now the laptop was also unstable on a flat surface.

I contacted them again, asking for a refund but they claimed I was outside the refund period of 14 days. I was only out of the refund window because the laptop was with them, being repaired. You can imagine my frustration.

They then confirmed they managed to reproduce the issue the first time but couldn't find the root cause. They also said they were "confident" they could repair it again. So I returned it for the second time and asked them to let me know what problem they find and how they repaired it. Once again, they returned the laptop to me without telling me anything at all. The lag issue was still there, the instability was still there.

I contacted them again and they started blaming me for the problems with the laptop. They claimed I "installed software" on it that triggered the lag issue, despite already admitting they didn't know what the problem was earlier. They did this because "software issues" caused by the user does not justify and extension of the return period.

After a long email chain that makes it patently obvious to anyone that they are being dishonest about the issues with the laptop, they then gave me 5 days to accept a "one-time" offer to replace the laptop, with no acceptance of responsibilities of the issues.

I then sought legal advice and now I am tied up in a dispute claims process with them.

Don't be tempted by their hardware customisation, it's not worth it.

You can see from the company response below what I have to deal with.
I have emails where they clearly state they do not know what the issue is, but now that I want a refund, its suddenly a "software issue".
I also showed them videos of the issues, and they flat out ignored them.
They're only responding to these negative reviews, but they're more than happy to ignore my emails.

**Update 2**
If you cannot solve a problem, then refund the product rather than expecting consumers to just live with it.

If you keep having to reinstall windows, then that is not fixing the issue, it's just hiding it long enough for you to return the product before it appears again.

I can't believe I have to spell this out for you. It's such a disappointment

As I have also mentioned before several times, I no longer trust your product or your services. I'd rather not have to go through with this again.
I have accepted that I have lost 1500 euros thanks to your shady business practices. The least I can do now is share my experience here so people are well informed.

Na lang nagedacht te hebben besloten om een laptop te kopen. Wou zeker geen laptop bij een dozen schuiver zoals de Media M. Ik wou kunnen kiezen wat ik in mijn laptop wou hebben. Na mijn keuze gemaakt te hebben heb ik de koop gemaakt en daarna was het wachten. ‘‘s avonds in bed had ik toch nog iets wat ik mogelijk niet goed naar gekeken had. Dus ik stuurde om 23 42 uur een berichtje via WhatsApp en warempel ik had 3 minuten later gewoon antwoorden op mijn vragen. En nee dit was geen computer. Er was gewoon nog toevallig iemand (Gerben) aan het werk. (Waarschijnlijk puur toeval).
Maar wat ik eigenlijk duidelijk wil maken: als ik eerder was gaan zoeken naar Linux laptops waarbij je ook zelf wat aan passingen kan maken qua videokaart geheugen enz enz dan had ik dat veel eerder gedaan. Dus wil je een nieuwe laptop of pc dan moet je naar SKIKK.EU gaan.

After thinking for a long time, I decided to buy a laptop. I certainly didn't want a laptop with a box pusher like the Media M. I wanted to be able to choose what I wanted in my laptop. After making my choice, I made the purchase and then I had to wait. 'In the evening in bed I still had something that I might not have looked at properly. So I sent a message via WhatsApp at 11:42 PM and sure enough, 3 minutes later I had answers to my questions. And no, this was not a computer. There just happened to be someone (Gerben) working. (Probably pure coincidence).
But what I actually want to make clear: if I had started looking earlier for Linux laptops where you can also make some adjustments yourself in terms of video card memory, etc., then I would have done that much sooner. So if you want a new laptop or PC, you have to go to SKIKK.EU.

I have my new laptopjust about a week now. Working great, fast and powerfull. Great product.
I was impressed by the service and friendlyness of the people working there. All questions I had before the buy were answered and my special wishes wich I could not make clear on the orderform were all fullfilled. Better than Icould wish for. So conclusion: Great product, great service, well worth the money and I would advice friends and family to buy at Skikk.

After my NUC crashed and being unrepairable, i recieved a new one, within short time. After that i needed a new licence for windows home, i recieved that within minutes after i contacted SKIKK

The laptop is delivered within two days. Overall it was a good experience. Great configuration for the price. One thing to improve is please ask the customer how much storage should be allotted to each of the dual boot operating system. I got only 2TB allotted to Ubuntu, it was disappointing.

Fast delivery, good price. I only had an issue that the PC had a CD player that I didn't notice during ordering and the keyboard layout with arrows was a bit different
