A thoroughly professional job completed by Shrekfeet Technician
My lawn was aerated & reseeded today & the work was carried out to my entire satisfaction. The technician took time to explain his plan for the task, asked if I had any questions/queries & then got on with things. He was very thorough in every aspect of the work which was completed with the minimum of fuss & I felt confident that a good job had been done. In addition he worked hard, but didn't rush things & was very polite & personable.

David and Noah worked on my lawns. They meticulously scarified and applied moss control, weed control and nutrition as well as reseeding some bare patches.
They worked right up to the edges and hedges, areas past firms have often treated sketchily. After a difficult summer for lawns I feel mine have a really good chance of a speedy recovery.

Following a very good and comprehensive call with Ian at ShrekFeet, we had our first visit, treatment and lawn survey with Casey today and it went very well. We check for disease or grub issues. Build an understanding of your soil type, acidity and the grass varieties in the lawn. Lawn needs more TLC
Casey has only recently taken over the care of our lawn and is always polite and helpful. On his last visit I pointed out areas of concern so he investigated and discovered Leatherjackets which had previously gone undetected and will need to be treated in the Autumn.
I have spent a great deal with Shrekfeet on the lawn over the past few years including scarification, aeration and over seeding and while I appreciate that the prolonged dry spell this spring and summer has not helped the condition of the grass, I would still have expected it to look much better than it does. Hopefully Casey will be able to restore it to its former glory over the months ahead.

Mrs Melville thank you for taking time to leave your feedback - albeit not as good as we would have liked. We have taken a moment to review your account before responding here. We visit you seasonally to apply your lawn treatments in West Wittering to manage nutrition, moss and weeds. We also provide soil conditioners to boost the microbial activity and soil health. Each time we visit we conduct a condition survey and note any lawn related issues. We also take photos of each lawn on every visit and these are saved on your account so we can track progress over time. Having reviewed these images we can see that there has never before been an issue which would indicate a leather-jacket grub infestation, until the most recent summer visit. Leather-jackets eat the roots of grass plants and when we are dealing with dry/hot weather (as we have been this summer) then the root damage becomes apparent as the plants suffer additional stress from lack of water. Thankfully we noticed the issues, investigated fully and diagnosed the problem. We have also put in place an integrated pest management strategy that includes application of our GrubX treatment to actively manage the grub population in the future. Maybe then we can earn those extra 2stars!

David is always very friendly & I am interested to know what is happening with the grass & ask questions. He is very knowledgeable so I have confidence in him & definetely in their products. Visits seem short to me but Shrekfeet sevices work so, that is all that matters!

Extremely disappointing service
Honestly, one of the most disappointing services we have ever signed up to. We have been paying a monthly subscription for 4 months totalling £500 for which they have carried out 2 visits (the first lasting 5 minutes and the second last around 50 minutes). Our garden is large so we were very surprised that the visits were so short. Despite many calls and emails to follow up, we have constantly been met with excuses ranging from staff sickness to inclement weather (even on days where we have still seen their vans carrying out work on other properties!). It was only when we informed them of our decision to cancel the service that they sent someone around. Our two neighbours have also had the same experience. Great marketing, but very disappointing service.

You’re right that the number of visits was low, but we operate on a seasonal treatment model rather than a monthly attendance schedule — something that can understandably cause confusion, especially early on in the service. That said, we accept that there were delays and missed appointments during your time with us, and this simply isn’t good enough.
The period in question coincided with an exceptionally challenging few months for our team, including operational disruptions and staffing issues that we tried hard to manage, but that did impact a small number of our customers. You were affected, and for this we are very sorry as we understand how frustrating that can be. We also recognise that your lawn’s progress was affected by one of the hottest and driest springs in over 80 years — not ideal conditions for visible improvement, especially early in a treatment programme.
That doesn’t excuse your experience, but we hope it offers some context. We'd still welcome the opportunity to make things right, and if you’re open to further dialogue, we’d be grateful for the chance.
