Customer service non existing

Customer service non existing. Tried to make a query about a parcel via phone and no one answers. Seems to be a deliberate approach by the company not to be bothered by customers. Avoid at all cost.

Everything went very smoothly

First time with Shiplowcost and Everything went very smoothly. The package was sent from Malta on Friday to France and we received it on Thursday, 6 days later, as indicated on the website.

The only issue was that despite covering the box with film, there were two holes in the box. But, nothing was damaged inside.

No date for collection of the parcel was indicated when I was ordering for the picking up. We therefore had to send them an e-mail to confirm the date we wanted the parcel to be collected. They were very quick to get back to us for confirm us the date that we wanted.

Unfortunately, I didn’t succeed to have an estimation date of arrival on their website. But the driver calls me 10min before to deliver our package in France.

Awful service

Awful service. For a shipment worth £80 from the UK, I paid €25 in shipping (which is ok) and then €57 in tax! overall it's almost the same price as the actual shipment. It arrived in March and I paid all the charges in March. Then on the 1st April they hold the shipment for an additional €1 charge because of the exchange rate change in April affecting VAT. Even though it's already been paid for in March... Good luck with them.

Reliable, good value, all you would want

Works so well you mostly don't think about it and just trust things will arrive safely, I love the service.
Since Brexit its been trickier to get stuff into Malta from the UK, but their support helped me navigate customs on both sides to get some baby things delivered for us.
Very very happy to recommend them

5 star service

I thought it would be fitting to post a review since I have been a customer for 10 years and just completed my 10th order with shiplowcost.
The service has been consistently good throughout the years. It is efficient, and any time there were minor issues they were handled swiftly and effectively. Their customer service is unrivalled. Any time I've interacted with them their replies were near instant, almost like a live chat rather than email. During my last order I collected my package from their sorting hub for the first time and staff were equally helpful and polite. What perhaps is a but misleading is the name as sometimes costs can be quite high for small items however I am happy to pay it for the peace of mind that my package will be well taken care of as I was disappointed with their competitor the one time I tried them.

100% satisfied

I have sent two large boxes from Malta to North Italy (60 kg in total), and i received them in less than 7 days with no issues. I contacted customer service via chat to arrange the pick up time because i had some timing priorities and they were good. The price is also very good. 100% satisfied.

They are extremely unprofessional and…

They are extremely unprofessional and lack the very basic customer support skills. Leaving you on hold without answer the phone for over 20 minutes until their automated message hangs up. They do not even email you as they promise they do with your notice of arrival and pretend that their shipment arrived on Wednesday to cover their backsides. Completely understaffed and way below par when it comes to communication with their clients. I would reluctantly give them 1/10.

i had 2 parcels

i had 2 parcels. One was an electric scooter which was delivered on the 12th November. The second parcel ordered has to date never been delivered and even though I sent multiple correspondences, I never received an acknowledgement on your behalf or answer regarding this package and to date i am still awaiting some kind of answer.. This issue has already happened some time ago with you guys were i ordered 2 pcs, i receive 1, i speak to you, you ask for proof of tracking, then proof of signature, then you are checking with your counterparts, not answering any emails of mine, then after i had enough you say parcel has been lost and you can claim insurance (this was for a 400euro scooter). Not to mention, when it comes to insurance forms, its like you're buying a house and ended up forgetting all about it as its nearly impossible to get all info requested. I would like an answer asap about this order. If you require any other information i will try my best to provide you with it (as i already did with proof of signature and everything you asked for). But if the parcel is yet again 'lost' let me know. I will find a more reliable company to deliver future products.

I am waiting for a reply.

I have used this company 7 times now

I have used this company 7 times now, both for transports from England and Germany. They have always delivered on time and with all items in great condition. Last shipment was a fragile and expensive vintage guitar speaker that the eBay seller (an idi*t) had wrapped in only a thin non-bubble wrap plastic cover. But despite the lack of packaging, this fragile item arrived without a scratch. The two delivery guys even waited for me to unpack it and check the contents when it arrived. True professionals. I'm super pleased with this service so far, which is also very affordable.

Many commentators here seems to be new to shipping in general and angry about standard business practices in the industry, such as expecting the customer to be at home the whole delivery day etc. Yes this is kind of impractical and requires some planning but it's the same with UPS, DHL, Fedex, TNT and the rest of them. If delivery companies had to call every customer the same morning and agree on an exact time, call back four times if you do not answer etc, we would see much higher shipping prices.

Credit where credit's due

I have used the company for 3 deliveries, including a hefty 70 kg new mattress from the U.K. and recieved great customer service even after hours when I did not expect them to get back to me immediately. I would say that overall I was delighted with the company's services.

Shiplowcost... Delivery company not willing to deliver!

After ordering some boxes from shiplowcost I had two days of phone calls because the driver didn’t want to bring it to the door but instead wanted to meet me down the road (he really huffed and puffed on the call when I said no bring them to the delivery address, it was like dealing with a small child!). I mean a delivery company that doesn’t deliver... as I’m pretty much in meetings most of the day to stop half way through one of them with 8 people because the driver wants to only do half the job isn’t really cutting it! Sustainable business model I think not!! After the 3rd day I asked where the order was I got told I needed to now collect because he had two failed attempts! Facts of the matter is that it was being delivered to the biggest office block in Tigne Point... it’s harder to miss than find and nothing more than laziness and poor service from shiplowcost but then I guess if you pay peanuts you get monkeys right?!! One of the customer service guys (or I’m assuming customer service but most likely missing the service part!) told me that they were a door to KERB delivery company whatever that is... I googled door to door delivery company to make sure I wasn’t dreaming something that didn’t happen but got evety delivery company bar shiplowcost so clearly they are on another planet!! Good for me as I now realize I’m sane again! So power to the people, you’re free to use this company but looking at the complaints it’s pretty clear that there is no customer service and if something goes wrong then it’s your fault. I certainly wouldn’t trust them to forward something to me after this experience. Good luck future shippers!!!

Be careful to have your phone with you…

Be careful to have your phone with you and to be available during the 2 working days they should deliver your parcel as their employees don't bring your parcel to you.

They call you only one time, if you are already busy they will not try to call you a 2nd time. In fact, you have to be at their disposal and not the other way around !

Moreover, they are liar as they told me that the day before their delivery man called me but I didin't find any call on my phone ! QED

Furthermore, regarding the customer support, there is not even the slightest empathy and instead to find a solution, to turn you into a happy customer, they charge you.

If you can, avoid ShipLowCost and use other service like MaltaPost SendOn or "you shop we ship"

i wish I had met Alan

i wish I had met Alan, the user below, as we could have shared stories over a cold Cisk over the terrible customer experience that ShipLowCost provide.

Genuinely avoid this company at all cost, they will do their utmost to charge you for everything under the sun,
1 cm bigger box - charge.
over weight - charge.
underweight - charge.

I have only dealt with Leanne and Matthew, but they are the most inconsiderate people i have had the displeasure of dealing with, they know full well that it is within their power to consolidate a shipment which was sadly delivered over 2 days, to no fault of any party beside the courier who didn't know this was the case, in this case i was penalised for only 1 box that was separate from the order of 25 and was twisted into paying 2ce the price to ship that one box.

My point to this is steer clear from using this for your shipment needs, you would be better off putting a bullet through your foot, it would be less painful.

Horrible customer support team & rip off company

Their customer support team entailing Matthew, Jamie, Kevin and Leanne are the rudest customer support team ever. I have been dealing with them for the last couple of years and to my mistake, i was a repeat customer but not anymore. This company will actively try to screw you over by overcharging for items, refuse to deliver items for no reason and just overall bad service. No matter how many details you fill out, they will try to work around it. You can spend hours arguing with them but there is no such thing as the customer is right here, even when the customer is actually right.

Additionally, it takes forever to reach them by phone and sometimes will even stop replying on Chat even though they are provided with proof they are wrong. In general, I refuse to use them from now on. Sometimes you end up paying more than the actual item costs.

I have never been this angry at a Maltese company as much as I am now. I am steering clear from them and using other competitors.

With their new website setup they can overcharge you as they please.
