Happy and satisfied buyers
My husband and I purchased a 2022 Kia Sportage from Shelley motors on 8th March 2025. The car dealership was easy to find and they had a great selection of the Kia models to look at. Having done some research on-line already we went along to test drive a Kia Sportage. Our sales executive Brett was very knowledgeable, and experienced in his field and was able to answer all our questions we had about the Kia Sportage. Brett was very professional , and listened to what price range we were considering, and what we could afford. Following our test drive of the Kia Sportage we did not feel pressured to purchase the car, and Brett was keen to hear our feedback.
Brett was super efficient, and managed to find us a 2022 Kia Sportage within our price range ( 28,000 miles on the clock ) within about 5 minutes of us sitting down. It is definitely the nicest car we have ever purchased( but to be honest this was going to be easy as our last car was a battered ford C-Max !). Great to have a car with all the safety features, rear sensors, and the most exciting feature for my teenage daughter the coffee cup holders in the back!
Brett made purchasing the car straight forward, and before we drove the car away, Brett made sure he went through all the main features on the car, and how to link phones to the cars on-board systems.
I would recommend Shelly motors, and Brett our sales executive to anyone. Brett made our experience of buying a Kia ( a car we have not had before ), straight forward , and stress free. He was professional in his approach, easy to talk to, and sold us a car we are delighted with.

Great handover for a driver new to a hybrid with electronic bells and whistles
Bought a used KIA Niro from Shelley Motors and received a very good service from Brett. I was particularly grateful for him talking me through all of the control features on handover as this is a much more sophisticated car than I am used to driving.
First rate car and sales, with outstanding staff team.
Can not tell you what a great experience it was to buy my motorbility car from Shelley motors, Epsom. The staff were knowledgable, friendly, not pushy but keen to help. The team Approach to customer care was so evident. I was served by Brett Davies and he honestly could not have done more when selling the car, to then keeping me updated as to its progress about delivery. Finally, the day of collection, he had the car ready for me and even had put a decent amount of petrol in the car. I am delighted with the car and have no hesitation in recommending Shelley motors and particularly Brett for great service in buying a great car.
Phone and text harassment
I should explain that I bought a vehicle from this company two years ago and so far have had no problems with it.
However I have since been pestered with continual phone and text messages from them, asking me to book a service or MOT, despite the fact that I have made arrangements with a company closer to where I live. I have asked them to stop these messages but to no avail.
Accordingly I can only give them a 1-star rating on the grounds of poor customer relations.

I recently purchased a Kia Sportage from Shelly Motors. The process was relatively straight-forward, although I was less impressed by Kia finance processes. The entire experience was brightened by Chris Hollands, who was incredibly accommodating and kept us up to date along the way. Chris was professional, knowledgable and went out of his way to ensure that our experience was a pleasant one.

twice in and twice failed
Second time my vehicle has been in and they have failed to correct the problem - they are fine on oil changed but anything complicated, forget it they dont have the staff with adequate training. Had an electrical fault on a KIA and was told to go to an auto electrician?? thought they had at least one on their staff.

Very poor and disrespectful customer service
Went in for a test drive of an EV9, booked vis the KIA website, and after being well greeted and told I’d be driving a 7-seater parked just outside, the sales person said he needed to speak to his managing director. This after I mentioned I would get my next car via my company’s car scheme. When this person came back, they said the car unfortunately was being picked by another client that was going to test the vehicle, and there were no others left, clearly lying. I asked if they realised they were the face of KIA in that moment, and that did not represent “unwavering“ customer service. I got the repetition of the same message. Clearly there’s incentives to treat only the customers who have already come in ready to buy well, while everyone KIA should be trying to convince will not even be given the time of day. Poor sales approach and clearly poor management. Highly disrespectful to send potential clients away of a 75k car. I wonder if this is what KIA has in mind when they trust their brand to shelly Motors.
Upgraded my sportage
Just upgraded my Sportage, with the help of Tommy Pidgeon, he got me on the road with a new model with higher spec. Would recommend Shelly motors to family and friends.
