I offer expert English tutoring for students aged 14–25 in Language, Literature, History and EFL. My sessions go beyond exam prep — building critical thinking, confidence, and academic skill. I’m a qualified teacher (PGCE + QTS) with an MA (Hons) from Glasgow and an MA in Literary Linguistics from Nottingham. Since 2015, I’ve helped students succeed at GCSE, A-level, IB, and university level. One-to-one and group options available, with flexible support for homeschooling. Essay feedback, revision courses, and affordable memberships are also available through my website.

The Best English Tutor

Amazing, on the run up to Alevel exams and I have never had someone explain so clearly to me what exactly I was missing in my essays. The only downside is not having met her sooner as she is absolutely incredible. I actually enjoy english again after being so demoralised with my poor performance.

Can't recommend Shani enough

Shani is just wonderful - extremely patient with my youngest son, he's normally very shy with new people but she really put him at ease.
He was very happy with his English GCSEs last month and we look forward to working with Shani again for his A Levels over the next 2 years!

Shani is incredible

Shani is incredible. I’ve had to retake one of my A Level exams and I was initially very nervous but the experience has been made 10 times better because of Shani’s help. I now feel much more prepped for university and a lot more confident that I’m going down the right path.

I bought a few worksheets from there

I bought a few worksheets from there, and they are all very useful. It helps a lot with discovering new words in the semantic field related to it, and Shani is always of great help and has wonderful advice !
