Shadow offers decent performance to play my favorite games on high settings and - if it works - is easy to use. However, it is kinda slow to start up, and sometimes is plagued by technical issues... See more

Now that I've had my first contact with support, I can only say that I would continue to recommend Shadow to everyone. Yes, the support is in English, but in my opinion, anyone who can't use a translator these days shouldn't be using a cloud PC. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable, and even on a Friday evening shortly before 5 p.m., the support team resolved the issue despite several communications before the weekend.
I love it, keep up the good work, Shadow crew!

Great service, ofcourse there downtimes but they are rare! Most problems occur from your OWN internet connection. I’m really happy with Shadow. Can use on iPhone, Android, Chromebooks, old rusty laptop. Can use a second screen or your phone or tablet as second screen. Nice!
I obtained Shadow PC for one reason, to play high fidelity WW2 flight simulators. Specifically, Digital Combat Simulator (DCS) and also other “older” simulators like Jane’s WW2 Fighters, various WW2 aircraft in FSX and X-plane 11. I have a Mac, so to play these simulators would have required the purchase of a gaming PC of around $3000 US. This was not an option.
With Shadow PC I am able to play WW2 DCS modules at high graphic settings without issue. I don’t have a 4K monitor, so I can’t comment on those settings or VR. Nonetheless, I have been happy with the graphics at high and even set the clouds to ultrahigh without issue.
The critical issue with using flight simulators was with the internet connection. Wi-fi simply will likely not work. I tried it with my router literally one wall way, and the signal was too choppy to play. However, I purchased a power line adapter (running the internet using the electrical plugs in the house) and that solved everything. The connection is stable and it was not expensive or complicated to set up.
The only issue I have is minor in that when I start up Shadow it does not always detect my USB flight controls, which I simply have to unplug and replug (more annoying than anything else). Setting up head tracking for the flight sims in Shadow PC can be a learning curve also, if you are not tech savvy. You just have to research it a bit (I used ChatGBT). But it can be done. I use Opentrack and Hamachi with UDP connection.
Overall, I am very happy with Shadow PC and I am happy I purchased it. I got a Black Friday deal with my subscription, so that also makes me feel good about it :) Given my situation of not having access to a gaming PC and really wanting to play high fidelity flight simulators like DCS (at regular high settings and no VR), Shadow PC has been awesome. I would not be able to play these simulators otherwise.
What made my experience great begans as shadow a very free style cloud you can do anything mods and etc so I like learning new things with no tech savvy skills to become the ultimate.
Absolutely horrible latency & delay issues. I had my subscription for less than 30 minutes & attempted to cancel and get a refund but they shove a ‘waive my right to withdraw’ in the confirmation when purchasing when it really means waiving my right to a refund - archaic terms are purposely being used.
Super sketchy company.

Poor performance in games and even poorer streaming quality. A lot of compression no matter the set bitrate.
I used Shadow around 4 years ago and back then it was really good. The performance to price ratio was good and the performance itself was more than acceptable too.
Some things you just can't fix, for example running Games using Kernel-Level Anti-Cheat on a VM. But some things like streaming quality can definitely be fixed.
Some days ago I saw someone on Reddit suggesting to use Sunshine on Shadow to get a massive boost in quality and oh boy, it worked so incredibly well. The image was finally crisp again and stuttering was completely gone. And mind you, Sunshine is free and open source software not backed by a company.
For nearly 40 Euros a month I'm really expecting something better. Even GeForce Now delivers a much better experience for half the price, even though it is much more restrictive.
I also don't understand why Shadow doesn't just offer a Linux (for example Bazzite) option. Since it's a VM anyway, the game availability is nearly identical as Kernel-Level Anti-Cheats won't work on either.
Shadow has a very good idea and an ideal base, but the implementation is just bad.

Absolute garbage in 2026. I purchased a sub back in July of 2024 for an extended business trip, no issues, everything was golden. Fast forward to Feb 2026, I purchased a sub again for another business trip and it's so slow and laggy I couldn't open the internet browser to try any of my games. Idk what has happened but they have torched their quality and I recommend if you want to game to seek another service, DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME.

I absolutely do not recommend Shadow PC. It is brutally overpriced for what it offers, and the performance is simply unacceptable. The service couldn’t even run five seconds without stuttering or freezing. Constant lag, constant interruptions, and zero reliability.
For gaming, this is a complete waste of money. The entire point of a cloud PC is smooth performance — and Shadow PC fails at the most basic level. What I experienced felt less like a premium product and more like a broken experiment that somehow made it to production.
At its current price point of around 50€ per month, this service is honestly a joke. Paying that kind of money for something that barely functions is hard to justify in any universe. I would only recommend Shadow PC to people who genuinely don’t know what to do with their money and don’t mind throwing it away on a constantly stuttering mess of software.
Save your money. There are far better alternatives out there, and Shadow PC is nowhere near worth what they’re charging.

No great at all. It says you can play all games this is not true.... You can not play arc raiders on their system. When asking for a refund they dont even reply back..... AVOID, AVOID, AVOID

I game a lot, mainly on PS5 but it got it's restrictions but I also got a little older office pc and to me it dose'nt feel worth it to buy a gaming computer to play like 2-3 games.
For the same price range of a PS Plus or Xbox gamepass, Shadow PC makes it possible to play them powerful games on my whack pc I can even use their app on my phone and connect controller to play when I'm att work xD
Only thing needed is a stable internet.
They won't let me cancel even though its a month to month subscription

Watch out for online game players - Shadow will not work for you.
I have been using shadow for 2 months but lately all good online games started saying can’t run on virtual machines. I can see this is not in Shadows hand but after raising a ticket and all I got as an answer was “play other games”. I got a 6 months subscription (lesson learned again dont go with any subscription more than a month) of course with no refund because according to them system is up and running. If they can’t sort out this issue with game developers, unfortunately majority, including me (I already cancelled mine), will be cancelling their subscription.

I would have to say the bot helped me resolve my spinning out of control issue
The system works fine and no issues until I came to cancel. I cancelled using their online platform but they still charged me anyway and they refuse to refund. They're very rude when responding and I can't remove my payment information from their system, so let's be honest they probably plan on just endlessly charging me each month. Avoid.
Update: Shadow's response is not true. I cancelled using their online platform before the due date. Even if this was true, why would any self-respecting company not provide a refund for an unused service? Stay away from this scam.

I love that I can play any game I want while using my mac (AND phone!)
The idea is great, however the experience is awful, inconsistent, and customer service is by far the worst I’ve ever dealt with. They make it impossible to cancel because you must cancel in the application. But if the application doesn’t work and you cannot open you won’t be able to cancel. I suggest staying away from this company. The alternatives are better and cheaper.
Edit 1 day later shadows business practices are completely disgusting I have received over 50 threats and non stop harassment from employees because of my reviews on Reddit and discord I encourage everyone to check out their reviews on Reddit and discord their business practices are absolutely disgusting and they operate like an mob. Do not buy their services!
