Fantastic service. Really pleased with my pattern. I'm sure I'll be ordering some more patterns soon.

Awesome site. Bought a sewing pattern but something was wrong with the download limit. When I noticed that I couldn’t download anything, it only took an email and they fixed it the same day.
Thanks!

Excellent client service, the team responded to my questions and resolved my issue. It’s a great platform for sewists, and it’s nice to deal with such helpful people.
Print My Patterns: this is just a fantastic new service that allows me not only to save time and effort, but money too. And it comes with amazing 5* customer service and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.
With the closure of Simplicity, Sew Direct advertise that the 'Big 4' pattern brands, along with New Look, Burda, and others are now available as pdf downloads. Great! What's not great and is, frankly, dishonest, is that you don't get to discover that your chosen pattern isn't available in A0 printshop format until you've bought and downloaded it. Instead of simply allowing customers to download the A0 pattern, they offer to post it to you for an added fee. Now, I stuck with two, expensive print-at-home patterns with 72+ A4 sheets that I have to print and stick together. There's really no excuse.

Outstanding customer service from Jackie. I had a problem with a voucher. She not only resolved the issue but diarised to follow up to make sure the issue was resolved for next time. Very happy!
Easy to navigate site. Lots of patterns to choose from, for every size. Prompt delivery. Fab!
The home of all the traditional sewing pattern brands. They stock the whole range, so if it isn't on their website its not available in the UK. As a VIP member I get one free pattern a year, 40% off all patterns and early bird access to new releases before they go on sale anywhere else. Free p&p for orders over £25 so it makes sense to buy a few patterns at a time. It's only £2.75 for orders below £25.
Super fast delivery on the patterns I bought in the online sale. A bonus that you can now get pdfs in A0 format now as I prefer printing on thicker paper!
Now that us EU customers can't buy from simplicity.com anymore and we can only buy from sewdirect, patterns are never on sale and certain patterns only for vip members. It makes me search for similar pdf patterns elsewhere.
The website is annoyingly slow to load. It has always been difficult to navigate but it has been made worse by including PDF patterns and patterns for obese people.
If these categories could have their own sections it would help enormously. There is no way I would purchase either of these, so I should be able to exclude them from searches . I have been trying to purchase a new pattern but have given up. Its just too jumbled
Please make your website easier to use.
They unexpectedly discontinue frequently used patterns. I sent them an email asking why they discontinues specific patterns, including the catalogue numbers, and which ones they are replacing them with, if at all. All I received was a non-specific and totally useless message to search their catalogue (which I clearly stated I already searched thoroughly). Bottom line, they couldn't care less about their customers.
I really enjoy their vast selection of sewing patterns. Sadly, most patterns I ordered arrived crumpled up or otherwise damaged through the post. I understand the need to save on postage and therefore just putting the patterns in a paper envelope, but I'd be happy to pay some extra to ensure my patterns arrive in an undamaged state. To their credit, when I have emailed sewdirect to exchange a pattern that was water damaged in transit, they sent out a repacement without questions asked. Good and timely service. But someone might want to look into better shipping options....
Firstly, I do realise there is a pandemic at the moment, however, I would have thought that Customer Service would be a lot better than, well, no response at all.
I saw a pattern on the US Simplicity website and was happy to order from there but there was no UK option. Messaged them and go no response so decided to try the UK, knowing that the pattern still wasn't available here yet. It's been over a week and there have been many posts on their Twitter fed and several on Facebook so someone clearly monitors it. It's about time someone actually responded. I've also had an order outstanding for nearly 10 days with no movement on it at all. I shan't use them again. I have no idea who runs this operation but they don't seem to have a clue.
Due to Brexit my pattern went lost but the customer service promptly sent me another. Took a lot to arrive, but it's not their fault. Great prices and customer service in my experience
I purchased 5 copies of McCall’s M8058 from my local sewing supply store in several months ago for an easy sewing project for my sewing group this year. I purchased 2 x Size 6-14 and 3 x Size 14-22. When our group met last week, we were all dismayed to find the incorrect pattern tissue in ALL of the 5 patterns I had purchased. The instructions were correct and matched the dress pictured on the pattern envelope. However, although the pattern tissue had the correct number printed on all the pattern pieces (M8058) the pattern tissue provided was for a wrap dress and NOT for the dress pictured on the front of the envelope. There has obviously a factory error in which the pattern number (M8058) was printed on the incorrect pattern tissue. As I no longer have the receipt for my purchases, which is requirement for a refund, I decided to contact McCall's via their contact form and explain my predicament. Following NO response after 24 hours, I tried again, and once more received NO RESPONSE. I then messaged McCall’s on their Facebook page. Not even this resulted in a response. I finally wrote a post on their Facebook Page, which was immediately deleted, with NO COMMUNICATION. I am extremely disappointed and surprised that what I believed to be a reputable company of long standing in the community has so little regard for their customers and accepts no responsibility for their mistakes!
I have been a customer for two years. In the last nine months I have had a problem with every order & return.
Patterns appear in the magazine & are not available online for over 7 weeks; patterns are out of stock & the order shows complete; patterns are returned under the terms & refunds are not processed.
No reasonable explanations given. I’m now moving on - cannot recommend. Not sure who is behind this enterprise.
The website is reasonable to navigate through, I like wishlist and note comments for each pattern but there are a lot of bugs though. A wishlist does not get updated, the account does shows no order history despite having one... There is no email notification of processing or tracking an order. I've ordered 5 printed patterns but received only one item with no information on the remaining order items. Two days later I received the rest. The only thing which works well was a quick payment process. I will think twice if I buy from them again. I'd rather go to weaverdee.com, minerva.co.uk, jaycotts.co.uk. as I have a repeated satisfactory shopping experience there.
