Secret Hopper doesn’t pay!
This company, owned by Andrew Coplon and based in Norfolk, Virginia, operates as a nationwide mystery shopping service but engages in unethical business practices. Independent contractors are requested to complete assignments under the impression that they will be paid and reimbursed for out-of-pocket expenses. However, upon completion of the work, the company systematically finds minor pretexts to deny payment and withhold agreed-upon reimbursements.Furthermore, the required administrative process is highly deceptive. The company labels its onboarding and reporting documents as a "brief survey," yet the digital paperwork consistently takes upwards of 40 minutes to complete. Ultimately, the mandatory out-of-pocket operational costs significantly exceed the final reimbursement amount. I have personally confirmed that multiple other contractors have experienced this exact same issue with this business.
