Purchased a vehicle from here - Broke a week later!

I purchased a BMW X5 from SCR Autos in December 2025. The vehicle wasn't particularly new, but was advertised as having significant work done to it in the listing, which was available on the website up until a week ago... nearly 2 months after I purchased it! Communication was done by text and the odd phone call which generally lasted under 2 minutes and I found them not to be particularly professional compared to other places.

The vehicle was delivered a week after I paid the security deposit and was driven from London to Norfolk as their 'truck was broken'. As it was delivered in the dark, I was unable to fully inspect the vehicle until the next day when I found a crack in the windscreen, grime and gunk all around the car, a bag of Cheetos, a half eaten unwrapped Mars bar in the door pocket, an opened water bottle in the back and cigarette ash in the centre console. I contacted Aaron who said that I could get the issues fixed locally and they would reimburse me for costs.

After just a week of ownership, the vehicle then catastrophically failed. The front left driveshaft sheared off the differential and the car threw up a DPF fault too. I phoned Aaron who once again said that we could get it fixed locally and they'd reimburse us for costs or cover it themselves. We paid for the repairs as I needed the car and they never did reimburse us for them!

The vehicle was off the road for a while being repaired due to the Christmas period, and the day of getting it back an injector blows in the engine bay and covers the engine bay in diesel. I told Aaron over the phone of this issue and his response was pushing accusations that I had sabotaged my own vehicle... why would I do that?!

I opened a dispute with Close Brothers and Car Finance Genie and the feedback I received from them was that SCR Autos was slow to respond and had no interest in my complaint. Eventually they then offered to recover the vehicle as they had access to a trailer however as we do not trust them to not damage the vehicle further, we decided to abandon the claim and rejection.

Do not buy from these people, it's not worth the risk or headache!!

I bought a car from them, they had repaired it with cheap parts and not bolted it on correctly, they refused to pay for the work and refused to take it back, legal action will be taken

Cowboy outfit

Bought a car from this bunch of cowboys when they had their premises in Henley, it developed a fault on the way home and they were closed for the weekend, no-one answered the phone until Tuesday and i was told to drive the car 17 miles back, this went on for a month driving it to and fro Aaron eventually crawled out from underneath his rock and claimed we had damaged the car by driving it, we demanded a refund and threatened court action. We eventually got a refund after many lies and much deceit and evasion minus £700 which against my advice my wife accepted
I see they now have other premises in Burnham, with the same personnel

Component failure on Audi Allroad

I bought an apparently well maintained vehicle from SCR Autos of Henley on Thames with a new service and MOT. Within 30 minutes of collecting the car to drive 120 miles home , dash warnings about the suspension came up . I phoned the dealer immediately and was advised to continue my trip home . Within a week the air suspension had collapsed completely . Scr autos advised me to contact the warranty company and arrange repair. The cost was over £2000 . The warranty I had bought with the car had a £500 ceiling so I’m left with a £1400 shortfall . SCR autos informed me this was my responsibility and offered a £250 goodwill payment which I rejected . Not impressed. Draw your own conclusions …
